  1. Someone didn't watch the game, I see.
  2. That's the sort of thing I was hanging my hat on. I thought the O would plateau at worst and the D would be hovering around the top-10. I think the D is going to be that good. So much relies on Tyrod hitting his stride now.
  3. I heard they've brought in idiot-proof tables.
  4. I will be the living embodiment of this poster.
  5. I find it really weird what the HOF panel docks a player for. I'd rather vouch for a TO than a Ray Lewis.
  6. I didn't get to watch Bruce, bit before my football education started. I was going through his sacks from 1990 on Youtube, I've never seen anyone move off the snap so easily. Half the time, he's halfway upright by the time the snap hits the QB.
  7. Probability of making playoffs at 0-2 - 12% Chances at 1-1 - 41% From here - http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/skeptical-football-go-go-andrew-luck-and-a-must-win-for-the-pats
  8. Marvin Harrison shot a man.
  9. Same as with 31 other teams, success can only come from the right process. Hopefully they have that in place now. They didn't pick a lot of guys I liked in April but I do love them picking up mid-round picks. Between #65 & #173, they had 11 picks. That's where you take chances and flesh out your 53. They'll be interesting to watch but, obviously, them getting a QB is huge to their future chances.
  10. Hue took a big risk going to Cleveland. In essence, he's tied himself to the ways of the front office. If they don't get the job done improving their drafting, his career could be gone with them as a HC.
  11. Maybe he joined Adam Muema in his Mexican death cult?
  12. "So, do you have any special talents, Mr Fisher?" "I can make my 1970's pornstache dance" "You're hired!"
  13. The top one, so much importance attached. I don't care who to, just slow that rush down. Legitimately terrified of their front. McLendon was insane on Sunday.
  14. Kouandjio vs Richardson/Wilkerson/Jenkins/Mauldin.
  15. The question is; how bad is Jeff Fisher? The answer - very.
  16. Ahhh, the old "Kaepernick Conundrum".
  17. Mo Sanu got $6.5m with the same stats over 4 years that Woods had in his first 3 years. Plus a few percent increase due to cap inflation, his base is probably $7-7.5m/year. Then you look at Tavon Austin's horrific deal and it could be as high as $10m/year.
  18. On the offensive side of the ball, Robert Woods was a champ. I honestly watch All-22 primarily for his blocking. The kid is the ultimate competitior. Got open more than the stat sheet could ever tell. I was watching John Miller on the end zone camera and he held up alright considering the matchup. Few rough plays but he was blocking one of the best DL's in the league at times. He might've actually been our best OL, just whisper it quietly.
  19. For now, it's just a bad game. I'm more interested in how he responds. Thursday will tell us a lot about what we've got at QB. Pressure with the home opener against a magnificent defensive line. Could be without starting LT too.
  20. Not even risky throws, either. We're talking NFL wide open throws. One to Sammy, he's looking right at it as he comes open past the defender. It's 20 easy yards, threw to Woods for about 5. I'm willing to put 70-80% of the blame for that game on his shoulders. Roman called enough good to win the game. The line held up better than I thought watching it live. Pressures resulted from Tyrod holding it forever for the most part.
  21. Just working through the offensive All-22. Tyrod missed 5-6 really easy window throws because he lacks anticipation over the MOF. Guys were open, he just wouldn't let it go. Took a good 150 yards off the board himself.
  22. To be fair, it's not entirely Tyrod's fault. He had the 5th highest YPA in the NFL last year. On average, we threw 27 times per game with him under centre. To reach 300 yards, that would require a 11.1 YPA. The league leader was Carson Palmer at 8.7.
  23. Funny enough, I just started digging into Lou Tepper's Complete Linebacking book. If you've not read it, you should. Talking about LB's shedding with a proper base, he used to get his 10 year old to go through drills and leverage players using improper technique to show them that strength meant nothing with proper technical execution.
  24. Just going over the Jets/Bengals game. My god, we are screwed. They can rotate their DL all day and have the depth to beat us. Steve McLendon is the worst of their "Big 4" DL and he was outrageously good on Sunday. Need to hit slants, screens to slow that rush down or we've got no chance.
