If Josh misses time to injury while Mr.Developmental 3rd rounder is still learning his way to the stadium, the rookie would be worthless to a team that is built for annual playoff appearances and while paying other producers on 2nd contracts. It would effectively be a lost season if they were dependent on him. If they want to bring in a prospect with potential to fill out the practice squad, fine. But, if the team stands any chance of progressing in Josh’s absence, they’d need an experienced signal caller who can identify sophisticated defenses and has leadership experience. Each year there are numerous retreads. Some never pan out and some just need a change of scenery (Darnold, Wilson, Winston, Baker, etc)

No. Draft one when the time approaches to replace the starter. Why draft (presumably) a day two or day three project QB who will have little opportunity to improve in real game action? He’d ride the pine for 4 years and because of inexperience would contribute next to nothing on the clipboard end. As long as Josh is in his prime with several more years of elite-level play, I believe the best course is to find veteran FA QBs who have game experience and fit the Bills’ culture. Someone like an Andy Dalton for example.

Or the storyline goes: the heartbreak kids… “hopes dashed after losing 3 of last 5-believed to be jinxed by message board guy”.

The local ‘7 Tequilas’-style neighborhood Mexican restaurants are the hamburger helper version of authentic south of the border cuisine. Nothing great, but still a notch above the places with drive-thru food options. With a Bogo coupon or taco Tuesdays I can get an inexpensive meal and have leftovers for lunch. It’s a night off from cooking and clean up at home. Oddly, some of the better wings I’ve gotten locally were at the casual dining Mexican restaurants here.

Josh named AFC Offensive Player of the Week (vs San Francisco)
SoMAn replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
The great irony: the jaw-dropping explosive improvisation that probably sealed the award for Josh was the by-product of a fairly poor pass from Josh. It was a wobbly ball that was thrown behind Cooper. If not for Cooper's awareness and one-handed acrobatics, it could have been disaster. The reason Josh was in position for the pitch was that he realized the ball was off course and Cooper was being molested by three defenders hoping to relieve Coop of the pigskin. Josh put himself in position to become a defender if the ball was lost. Josh was lucky that Cooper's arm was free enough to toss the ball. In short, a poorly executed play from Josh turned into a highlight reel play. He turned lemons into lemonade. Congrats (again) JA17. -
I think there are a few things that differentiates McD from coaches who find themselves on the hot seat after a couple of years. He's extremely organized. Seems to have a plan, then executes it. His overall life/work philosophy, part of which is to be the best you that you can be and find ways for constant improvement. He's incredibly gracious with no hint of an overblown ego. He stands up for his players, never pointing fingers. Following the negative column about McDermott was published last year, the Bills went on a tear to secure the 4th consecutive division title. May be coincidence, but I have to believe that was his players getting behind him, showing their love and support for the head man.

Maybe sending QB Mike White back to PS after generously giving him a little holiday bonus with a 53-man gameday check.

Rock-a-Bye bedwetter, let’s at least keep the dialogue exchange interesting. What part(s) of this post do you disagree with?

No. The “fire McDermott” chorus are worthy of being ignored. I suspect many of them are from the instant gratification generation, expecting instant success with the wave of a hand. They don’t have a concept of how incredibly hard it is to get to a Super Bowl, let alone to win one. Harbaugh, Peterson, McVay, Payton- all are Super Bowl winning coaches who’ve been there, but struggle to get there again. How many years did Andy Reid walk the sidelines before raising the Lombardi? Here’s maybe the stupidest angle to the “fire McDermott” chants- who would you replace him with? With an elite QB in his prime you’d risk starting over with an unproven head coach? Really? You’d instantly replace the coach with the franchises all-time best winning percentage? The guy who’s led them to 7 playoff appearances in 8 years? Sure, fire McD so he can stomp the Bills and lead the Jets to division titles for years to come. It’s a free country, so y’all are free to express that halfassed opinion, but we’re free-no, compelled- to ignore it. Last thought: Not only is McDermott a fine leader, he’s a class act as a human being. We’re lucky to have him:

What’s it gonna take to improve /prioritize our run defense?
SoMAn replied to Jistafan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree. But… if they do get behind and the opponent is running all over, controlling the clock, and keeping MVP candidate Josh Allen on the sidelines, it could spell trouble. I’d just assume the Bills prevent them from gashing the middle of the D. -

Ed flashes at times, but he’s frequently manhandled by bigger, stronger O-linemen. The big-bodied DT often occupies 2 blockers, which can free up other defenders, increase the impact of the guy on the edge or blitzing safeties/LBs. The Bills are weak right in the middle. Baltimore exposed that weakness. The teams the Bills should fear most are those with power RBs like Derrick Henry. -
Tyrod was an upgrade from the previous batch of nobodies. That's all. He was manageable. The 2017 Bills reached the playoffs not so much because of him, but more likely in spite of him. Truthfully, the defense, Shady, and Andy Dalton got us there. What's Tyrod done since? Just your basic journeyman QB. Doesn't suck, but there's nothing particularly remarkable about him either. The most likely answer to the question as to why he's been mostly forgotten - Josh Allen. Enough said.

Ted Washington, Kyle Williams, Sam Adams, or reasonable facsimiles. Wide body run-stuffing athletic DT. -
Ok, somebody refresh my memory on the ‘Belinda’ history and meaning: I’ve completely forgotten the significance. That’s got to be from at least 20 years ago. I had the same “oh *****” thought about that. What is the NFL policy on players participating in fantasy? -

65-31 In consecutive weeks against the 2 defending conference champs. 5th straight division title. Fire McDermott. -
It’s not that great these days, especially when you get 1099’ed. Maybe give a bonus for the ones who don’t pull out their phones to check social media every 3 minutes.

I know who cares the least....me. I don't care if a Bill wins the Lady Bing Trophy. The Lombardi is the only award that I'm concerned with.

All of the above other than MVP. Team first. I also am tat-less. Not against them, just feel there’s better ways to spend money. I’ve stated I’ll get that tat with the Lombardi, the logo, Roman numerals. score, and date. Maybe include locale if design doesn’t get too busy. I will find a real pro to do the work and pay top dollar to get something with great artistic integrity. For this- it must stand out and have ‘wow factor’. Of course, I’ll need to leave room to ink Roman numerals for subsequent championship years. 😉

Including live view... at least 25 times, including multiple angles. Still not as many times as I've watched 'wide right', stupidly somehow expecting a different outcome.
