Did you know that Marv got recruited to Wyoming as a defensive back? He attended Wyoming for one semester before transferring to Coe because the coach who recruited him to Wyo left and he couldn't stand the new coach.
So the Wyo-Buf connection has deeper roots than I had realized.
Hard for me to imagine anyone that Marv can't get along with. The replacement coach must have been an 'over-officious jerk'.

The Bills are about due for a game in London or Berlin. If they get London and it works with my schedule and overall health, I'm going to try to make it for that one.

Good news, in this day and age , until you hear the deal is final, always a cause for concern.. as someone who lived thru thrreats of the team leaving, the Lancaster Dome fiasco , thanks for the info!
But, they’ll probably have to execute a drawn out environmental study before the first shovel of dirt is thrown.
For someone living in Atlanta, it’s astounding to me how slowly progress is made in NYS. The layers of bureaucracy is mind-boggling.
When there was talk of building a new stadium for the Falcons, they got the ball rolling and 3 years later they were playing in the Georgia Dome.20+ years later, did it again and built Mercedes Benz Stadium.
The Bills and league have been talking new stadium since Doug Flutie and the stadium rehab of early 2000’s.
As far as the new stadium goes…I’ll believe it when I see it.
BTW- how’s that new Peace Bridge project coming along?-

Interesting that many of you believe Beasley is ‘washed’, but Josh Allen who purportedly requested his return doesn’t think so, or is at least willing to find out.
Beasley was signed to the practice squad for cheap (presumably). What do they have to lose?
If he looks slow and not useful to the active roster, they can cut him loose.
Frankly, I don’t care about his vaccine position. It doesn’t affect my enjoyment of watching the Bills. If he contributes to wins, that’s the extent of my concern with his personal life.-

Like Spencer Brown and Cody Ford?
I agree- the OL needs help next year. it’s just a roll of the dice no matter the position. Just because we draft someone in rd 1-3, doesn’t make them an nfl starter.
top draft picks can still be beach chairs.
The best O-lineman Beane drafted was a 5th-round pick who quickly became a pro-bowl guard for the Browns after one year with the Bills.
The Bills used the 6th round pick obtained in Wyatt Teller trade for Tyler Bass, so it worked out, but it would be nice to hit on some other mid round picks rather than wasting another # 2 on someone like Cody Ford. That was a terrible waste of a early round pick.
Maybe they can get lucky and turn that trade into a decent player from the next draft.-

Surprised we haven’t seen the classic standing red Buffalo helmet yet. I wonder if it’s being phased out or if they’ll have it for one of the final 3 games.

You want to know the real reason he's here?
To get revenge on the Buffalo Bills.
Last time Cole Beasley was in Buffalo he drove away with his middle finger up in the air and Orchard Park in the rearview mirror.
The organization wronged him.
It was personal.
Now that same organization is in the #1 seed and one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl.
You really think Beasley is gonna let that happen?!
Picture this:
It's the AFC Championship Game. The Bills have the ball, down by 1 point. There's 10 seconds left. It's 4th and 5 and the Bills need to convert in order to get into FG range. Empty set, Allen takes the snap, Beasley finds a cushioned pocket in the zone 5 yards out.
It's an easy pitch and catch opportunity.
Done deal, right?
WRONG!!
Allen darts it to Beasley right between the numbers, but just as Allen releases it he notices something.
There's a sly grin across Beasley's mug.
Josh knows then.
Flashback to 2021. The disease. The debates. The disorder. The dissention and desertion.
Drop.
Beasley let's the ball hit his hands and bounce to the ground. Game over.
Beasley takes off his helmet and throws that middle finger in the air, calmly rotating in a circle so the stadium full of helpless fans can see.
He strides away into the tunnel darkness.
The End.
Ha😊 more likely he wants to win SB, thereby giving Brady the middle finger.

Beasley had 4 catches in 2 games for the Bucs. His final reception was on 3rd down & he failed to convert, he got screamed at by Brady all the way back to the sideline, retired the next day.
That may explain his sudden retirement. After playing with Josh and the family atmosphere of the Buffalo Bills, he finds himself on a team with a whiny finger-pointing QB who berates him publicly as if he’s a rookie who needs to get it together.
If I’m Beasley in that situation, I tell Brady to F.O. and retire.
If he’s the same Bease that had a knack for finding open areas and rarely dropped passes, I’d gladly welcome him back.
QBs look for receivers they can consistently count on. Currently, Josh has only one of those.-

Love this take overall... Especially the comment about limiters or compression
so true, LOL! ... and you're right about Brown he does his homework better than most of them, even though most see him as a useless homer.
Good to hear it's not just me with the sound issues.
Maybe an Audacy thing. I really enjoy Tasker's insight and colorful turn of phrase, but unless he's getting amped up about a subject, he can be a 'low-talker'. So instead of straining to hear what he's saying, I turn up the volume, and Chris comes screaming into the mic with his 'high-voice' cranked up to 10 when he's adamant about something, so I have to turn it down....until Tasker comes back when I have to turn up the volume again, and hope Brownie doesn't surprise me with a screaming interuption. Does anyone there know anything about levels. or do they just have the on-air talent do 'testing 1,2,3' at normal conversation levels, and then the engineers walk away?
And, it's only on the One Bills Live show I have that issue, so I presume we can point the finger of blame at whomever handles engineering at the stadium studios.

I dunno, weather it's the morning show or the afternoon show I hear things I disagree with and things I agree with. I honestly think it's all pretty decent radio. they cover the Bills, talk about Bills related topics for the most part. That's all I'm asking for.. I think the criticism of WGR is way over the top sometimes. Just my opinion though.
The criticism of every commentator/host/announcer is over the top.
There's nobody today on TV or Radio that is universally loved. A lot of people here have an issue with Collinsworth. There was a fair number of Dierdorf haters back in the day. Some can't stand Tasker. I like all 3 of them.
Chris Brown on WGR tries too hard to be a comedian, can be overly-animated with inflections that make my speakers rattle (any of you GR engineers heard of limiters or compression?) , and interrupts too often, but gotta give him credit for doing his homework and having good insight for someone who never played.
Most agree that Beth Mowens has an annoying voice. But, if you read a transcript or used closed-caption for her, you'd realize she too has done her homework and is knowledgeable. Maddy's voice is not the best for broadcasting (I'm used to it now), but like Beth, she knows her stuff. Besides, she seems like a really sweet and genuine person.
Madden and Cosell were not always loved before they became cultural and broadcast legends.
Maybe some throwbacks like Keith Jackson, Dick Enberg, or Merlin Olsen were rarely disliked.
But, I agree that there's a lot of listeners who have issues with many of the personalities. It's their right. I really don't, or if I do, I simply don't listen (Bulldog).
When I first relocated to Georgia in the 80's, the most Bills' info I often had access to was a 2-sentence blurb in that POS rag USA Today. I'm just happy to have so much content that's specifically Bills-related, regardless of the messenger.

I was assuming the turf in Detroit caused problems but that wouldn't make sense at home.
Is there a common factor with the cleats injured players are using? Not enough give? If the foot is staying planted when reasonable force should cause movement, it could easily lead to ankle and knee injuries.

I know this will be a long shot but does anyone know where to watch the Bills Jests tilt on Sunday in Key West? I am arriving there about 11:30am. I am hoping there will be a place.....thanks TBD'ers!
The Dolphins play at night, so no local broadcast conflict there, and I believe the Bills-Jets will be the nationally televised 1pm game with Romo and Nantz. The Bills/Jets game will have as much interest to S.Florida fans as yesterday’s 49ers/Dolphins matchup was for Bills fans.
So, it’ll almost certainly be shown on any TV with CBS, including the one in your room if you prefer to watch without the usual distractions at a sports bar.

They went different directions with their priorities. The office of line for Kansas City might be better than the bills, but the defensive line for Buffalo is better than the Chiefs.
there at this moment is literally two games separating these teams, and the bills have won their only head to head match up this year
people need to stop fawning over the Chiefs. We have our own eight and three teams sitting right here in front of us.
Fawning over the Chiefs? No. I was using their immediate rebuild of an offensive line as something that is do-able. But, good point about Bills conversely focusing on D-line.
For me, I see an offense that could be almost unstoppable with good run blocking and a complimentary WR. Love Gabe, but if Diggs is ever out, it’s scary to think of Gabe as being our # 1 WR.

Based on the Tre White pick, Bills fans concluded Beane was a wizard at finding CBs. So far it seems to remain the only data point supporting wizard status.
Tre was drafted before Beane joined the Bills organization.
It’s a universally accepted notion that the draft is a bit of a crapshoot. Beane has done some brilliant maneuvering to attain additional picks and improve position. The moves to get Josh and then Edmunds in the first round was genius. Would Whaley or Buddy Nix have pulled that off? They’d have drafted the next Terrell troop or John McCargo.
Beane has had a few misses (Cody Ford is the obvious name that comes to mind), but he’s built a competitive team through the draft and by fostering a culture that attracts FAs.

I don't know if he was blowing smoke, but after the draft Bean claimed that when their pick came up, Elam was the last guy left on the board for whom they had a first round grade.
I forgot he said that. Maybe he was being truthful. Beane seems like a straight shooter, so I don’t doubt it. On the other hand, he wasn’t going to admit that it was a reach for a guy graded as 2nd-rounder (if that was the case).
I believe Elam will be fine with continued coaching and more experience. Maybe our expectations were inflated by taking a CB in 2017 at #27 who was a force from day one.-

Phillips, Lawson, Brown, Klein, Marlowe, Barkley…
Yeah, the word is out among job seekers that Buffalo, besides being a odds on favorite and contender with a star QB, has a culture, national exposure, and fan base that is very attractive to free agents.
NFL players make up an exclusive community who frequently talk among themselves. I don’t think there is a single current or recent past Bill who had anything but praise for the city and team. -

Which two? None of the corners other than the ones that were taken very early. Are playing at Elam level.
Maybe I’m mistaken.
I swore there were 3 or 4 CBs ahead of him, but I just looked and McDuffie was the only other one the Bills had a realistic chance to draft, with Stingley and Gardner going early. I’m not much of a college or draft guru, so I just rely on grades and reviews leading up to the draft. I thought McDuffie would be a good pick.i still believe Beane probably had prospects in other positions graded higher, but there was such an immediate need at the CB position, especially with the prospect of facing WRs like Jefferson and Hill on the other side of the ball.
Though it’s way too early to talk 2023, I’m hopeful the Bills find a way to make their O-line a priority. KC had to basically replace their entire line since their super bowl win and are playing at a higher level than the Bills line. -

Hopefully Elam progresses, and that becomes no longer the case
I still think Elam was a reach and a consolation prize after the early run on CBs in the 2022 draft. I think Beane had his eye on at least 2 others before they were grabbed up ahead of the Bills’ pick. But with Tre’s scheduled return uncertain and with Wallace gone, they were desperate and chose Elam, who they claim they had a “first round grade” on. Not sure I buy that line.
Elam is still a project. He has the skills and I believe the desire. Just needs to get with the program and play smarter. He’s not there yet, but hoping he’ll make the jump by year 2.

A coping? Or perhaps we see how other QBs who run like Allen have fared. The fact is their careers were shortened because of injury and they couldn’t adapt their game to be a pocket passer. Could Allen buck the trend? Maybe but it’s not coping point out his style has not fared well in the NFL.
Who are you talking about?
Elway? Young? Rodgers? Favre? Tarkenton? Flutie? What scrambling QBs had a career shortened by their penchant for taking off when the opportunity arose?
Newton? He’s the basis of your argument? He played 11 seasons. Not exactly a short stay. He’s not playing because he’s physically unable. It’s because he’s a lousy passer and a washed up diva. So, who are the scrambling QBs whose careers were shortened by their style of play?

I'm repeating myself, but sure I speak for others as well.
Last season, Edmunds was the subject of much deserved criticism. It's wasn't based in hate. The comments were based solely on performance and what appeared to be lack of effort.
There were missed tackles, bad angles, getting pushed around, etc.
I think we're seeing a different player this year. Something happened - either through self-evaluation and discovering areas for improvement, better health, or continued coaching that has inspired the turn-around.
Either way, Edmunds is playing lights out and is an integral part part an effective defense. Just as he deserved harsh criticism last year, he's earned praise for taking it up a few notches this year.

Bease had an innate knack for finding the open spot to get a first down, and rarely dropped one of Josh's bullets. He kept the chains moving.
Yeah, if he's still got anything, I'd love to have him back. Besides, my wife has the #11 Beasley shirt, so there's that.

I was being facetious. I'm fairly sure it's happening. Just skeptical of what other agents or other issues that may delay the 2026 opening. Understand, I've been hearing 'new stadium' for over 20 years. Starting to feel like Linus every year, waiting for the Great Pumpkin who never arrives.
The fact that it will take nearly 4 years the build is what surprised me. The empire state building was completed in 13 months over 90 years ago.
