  1. History repeating? We had a decent starting back called Ronnie Harmon in the late 80s, but he too had some dropping issues and eventually lost his job with the emergence of Thurman Thomas, a more dynamic back that could run, catch, and block.
  2. I got it last year. First year after about 25 that I did not have the NFL season ticket since it was no longer on DIRECTV Tv.. The bills were available on local Atlanta TV for about 10 games.. For those not on TV, I went to local Anchor Bar for one, streamed through Facebook pirate stream (unreliable) for a couple games, and watched on delay from NFL+ Premium site. (Bills) Games were shown in their entirety with NFL app (but with less commercials) immediately with the following their conclusion. So, there were a couple of 1pm Bills’ games I had to stay off the grid until 4pm to watch without having the outcome spoiled. I also enjoy the replay features. Every NFL game from 2009-present is available to stream. With the app you can view any game live on your mobile device or laptop that’s being shown in your local broadcast area. It was convenient to pull it up on my laptop and phone a few times. The app allows you to identify your favorite team and collectively provides all the promotional videos and press conferences that the team’s media department releases. I’ve enjoyed going back through the past season and replaying some of the better games when I have nothing better to do, it’s mid-May, and football fever starts up. For me, it’s been a good value.
  3. Good point. My opinion was based primarily on Josh’s sub-par performance in last year’s opener.
  4. I hate that worry-wart mentality. It’s like these over-protective parents we have now who are afraid to let their kids walk to the school bus stop or climb a tree. Josh might get hurt. Or…maybe he’ll be ready for the opener this time. It’s football, not duck duck goose.
  5. Why? Do you believe that Josh doesn't need to sharpen his skills and the work on timing and communication with his center and receivers? Or, are you just concerned about risking injury?
  6. Josh saw limited action during preseason in 2023. He didn't look sharp against the Jets in the season opener, throwing multiple interceptions. The Bills lost a critical division game to start 2023. I'd like to see Josh get at least 5 or 6 full quarters to knock off the rust and get familiar with his new batch of receivers and linemen.
  7. Looking good. Can’t wait to see it completed https://www.facebook.com/share/r/4dBzyDr7636eXCSp/?mibextid=ICIPch
  8. I believe the rule was instituted to reduce the risk of injury caused by high impact collisions that can occur when running full speed into each other.
  9. Keep them both. Kincaid is TE 1. Send Knox home to Tennessee for Titan’s 2025 2nd round pick.
  10. Please Save me the trouble of searching multiple threads and sources…what’s this about Allen’s ankle? First I’ve heard there’s an issue. edit: searched, found reference to Josh getting ankle taped. BFD. Some of you are the biggest hand-wringing worry wart pansies. These are tough men, running around, twisting, jumping, etc. There will be tweaks, strains, sprains, and boo-boos. A good portion of the players get their ankles taped before hitting the field, just for added support. But sure, let’s panic because Josh had his ankle taped during a no-pads practice. 🙄
  11. Cashing in while they can. Merchandising and endorsement deals are putting mega millions in the pockets of a lot of celebrities. If successful, it can do for the Bills what Tom Brady's wealth did for the Pats; allow him to forego higher salary demands, thereby providing more cap money for valuable teammate contracts. 12. Didn't catch the 'by line'. Spags?
  13. I think the expectations for Coleman are a bit exaggerated. He’s a rookie. He wasn’t even a top 5 WR pick. IMO Gabe Davis will be missed more than some may think. Overall, this is a much weaker group. We have a premier QB with average receivers. If Kincaid or Shakir miss any time, the O is in trouble. I foresee Josh scrambling for his life, getting sacked, and throwing INTs. Hopeful that Joe Brady has some creative play designs that can maximize the talent available. Interesting comparison to the Dolphins, who have superior receivers and an arguably slightly above average QB, and the Bills with the exact opposite arrangement.
  14. It's a fair imitation of my wife spotting a mouse in the house. His overenthusiasm appears disingenuously affected (trying to be Jeanerette), and maybe somewhat effeminate. He's no Clip Smith in the pun department either in his vain attempts to coin catch phrases. Personally, I don't much care as I'll probably never have a need to listen to a radio broadcast. The only time I'm subject to it is when they use his voiceover as part of an NFL films presentation. It'll be an incredibly joyous time when the Bills finally win the Super Bowl. The only downside will be watching the NFL films Super Bowl reviews with Brown screeching 3 octaves higher than normal, "the Bills are world champions. The Bills are world champions. The Bills are world champions". Ughhhhh. BTW - Brown provides great analysis on One Bills Live. The guy does his homework. He is a fairly knowledgeable sports nerd. He's just not a particularly good voice for play by play in my opinion.
  15. When # 49 wasn't re-signed and went off to the windy city, there were some who expected a drastic drop at LB. I was not one of those people. I had a sense early on that Bernard would be a vast improvement over the overrated, and now overpaid Edmunds. If the dynamic duo of Milano and Bernard can stay on the field all year, I believe we'll have some of the best linebacking in the league. And we're still developing a promising 2nd year player in Dorian Williams.
  16. I was at the Roland Hooks game, and sadly missed the ending since the people I was with wanted to leave. Games I attended with best memories are first Monday Night, 1973 1974 season opener on Monday night against Raiders with several lead changes in last few minutes, much like 13 seconds but with better ending. 1980 opener, finally defeating Dolphins.
  17. I'm with you 100%. I used to go to at least one game each year. Even had season tickets in '92 and '93, even though living in Atlanta area. I love the atmosphere of a live game - seeing the whole field in 3D and living color. That said, I haven't managed to get to a game since 2008, and being a senior now, I may not find the inconveniences that come with a live game quite as appealing. I'd love to take my Bills-fan-by-marriage wife, but at just under 5 ft tall and 2 knee and 1 hip replacement, it would be an unenjoyable experience if she was force to stand the entire game by the inconsiderate A-holes in the next row who refuse to sit. Even standing, she likely wouldn't see much of the action. Of course, it's always a gamble. I could schedule a Sept or October game, easily spend a grand on plane tickets, game tickets, hotel, car, parking, etc. - and then wind up sitting in a rainstorm and 50 degrees. I do enjoy the comfort of home, especially as the temperatures drop and I can sit in my recliner, big screen HD picture, pause, rewind, replay, fireplace roaring, roast or some other aromatic food wafting from the kitchen, snacks at arms-length, clean bathroom nearby with no sign of piss on the floor. After the game, I can enjoy another game, go outside, or do something else that doesn't require sitting in a post-game traffic jam. I'd like to attend a game or two before I'm done. I've seen Kemp, Kelly, Ferguson, Simpson, Thurman, Bruuuce, and all the greats, so I'd like to see Josh in person at least once. The Bills will be here in Atlanta next year (unless they make that an international game 😗) I plan on being there. As I stated in previous thread a few weeks ago, I was at the Bills' first Monday Night game in '73 at Rich Stadium. I'd like to be at the first Monday Night game when the new stadium is completed in 2026. For now, I'll enjoy watching from home sweet home.
  18. If all things were equal, they'd be more than close - they'd be equal. The same. Allen is more advanced in the facial hair department, but only because Mahomes is hormonally stuck in early-puberty. Josh is more likeable and as far as we know his brother isn't an a**hole. For all intents and purposes, Josh was the winner in the 13 second game. He had the Bills ahead with only a complete breakdown by the defense and special teams stealing the win. He's also defeated Mahomes-led Chiefs several times in regular season. Allen all day long.
  19. My 200 ft cruiser is having the gold atrium updated in dry dock. The 80 footer is the dinghy.
  20. I was being facetious. There are actual million+ $ mansions in my subdivision. I don’t have one of those. Why would I need one when I spend most of my time on my 80 ft yacht? 😜
  21. That's about a 15 minute drive from my mansion. I know the area well. Tyrod's house is in the same general area of Jones Rd and Bowen Rd where Takeo Spikes' house was/is.
  22. At least they spelled Chiefs correctly 🙃
