  1. Torn between Nyheim Hines (taking a punt to the house) among other productive returns and offensive contributions or Dawson Knox. Gut tells me Dawson Knox has a day.......
  2. I think the term you are looking for is eft. j/k, appreciate the reply.
  3. ^ This, versus the (a) 13-seconds game (b) wide-right game (c) throw back (forward) game or the (d) "just give it to him" game? Hmmm. That is curious. Yet, this is the beauty of a message board, diverse perspectives from an equally diverse fan base. Still, it is time for blue pants/white jerseys.
  4. Ah, blocked that out of my memory.....yet, this fortifies the argument that it is time for the blue pants/white jerseys; of course only within the context of thinking that certain uniforms are jinxed.
  5. I appreciate the above as I have been super cold on Ed as there is a chasm between his statistics and the eye test. I have to admit I am likely biased against him due to his underproduction based on his draft pick status (9 overall?), which I know he did not control. As someone above (GreggTX) states, he is a hair above "average". No way he is top 10, that is just goofy to consider. But he is not horrible, either. He is replaceable and not worth a heavy re-signing at all. He seems like a good guy, works hard, but he is inconsistent and while he can hit the quarterback rarely does it have impact. The image of him sliding down Mahomes as he is trying to sack him, yet, Mahomes stays upright and throws a TD, is quintessentially Ed Oliver.....close, but not close enough.
  6. Here me out.......13 seconds = white on white; blue on blue just produced the Jets "game"; not sure we can believe the blue pants are jinxed anymore. Sure, blue on white is mysteriously absent, but perhaps for karma or a cathartic impact, we should try white on blue? Truth be told, about all of our uni combinations have "led" to some debacles so maybe a year of sitting on the shelf is a long enough time out. Thanks for listening.
  7. You make a lot of assumptions and have a few hot takes, not sure I appreciate your low brow approach to a message board with your version of what people should post. While I thought it would be enjoyable engaging with someone like you, I have learned it is actually not. Your line of thinking and logic does not rise to the level of a challenge, rather it seems exhausting to try to summate what you are trying to say and even harder to conjure up a reply that you would understand and reflect on. This stated, peace out. Be well.
  8. I am upset? Enlighten me on how you came to that conclusion. You are projecting. As for what petty means, geez look it up. I should not have to do your work for you. My goodness you look petty in this thread. Give specific examples? Are you serious, did you watch the game? Josh threw interceptions that literally by any measure were bizarre....like right at the defender with no receiver close. Sure, there will be reasons given, but his reads and throws were off. This is not to mention his really surprising lack of pocket awareness and forcing balls to receivers that he seemed to have developed out of. His apparent audibles also did not seem to work or he did not audible into a play that seemed to have a chance. All this, to me anyway, leads to him being distracted. Which is not an usual place to be in life. We all have been distracted in life with trying to do too many things at times. You are free to disagree, as this is a message board. Finally, give you a break? I have. A lot here. Ponder that for a moment. Take care.
  9. Strike a nerve? This is a message board, you do not look good here telling someone to stop sharing their thoughts on a message board. Josh looked distracted today and is not playing at the level he nor anyone would likely expect. Petty? Me thinks you need a dictionary.
  10. Disappointing for sure. Season is not over, but ideally this will humble the players, coaches, and hometown pundits. Too many dismissed the Jets and they just ran the ball down our throats and made us look soft and very undisciplined. Karma is a b*$& and just slapped us in the face. Josh needs to stop podcasting, thinking about commercials, and get back to being the best quarterback he can be. McDermott is baffling too me. I am not sure "he has the lockerroom" like most of us hope or see from the post game speeches after a win and he does get outcoached more that we would like to see. Lots of room to improve, go Bills!
  11. Great trade; Hines is fast and productive out of the backfield as a runner and catcher. Plus is an effective Punt Returner. This is a really smart pick-up and aligns with Beane's and McD's philosophy of versatility and production. This is not only for next year, but for this years' playoff run. Hine's needs to be accounted for by the Defense, no question. This is another outlet for Josh. Great trade.
  12. 3 hours before the game I scored a bottle of allocated bourbon at a grocery store of all places. Literally asked the manager who was in the area on a whim and he went in the back and brought it out. Still laughing at that.
  13. ^^^ This; the all white uni's are brutally ugly. The all blue's are, apparently, popular with a lot of personnel for the Bills as evidenced by how frequently they wear it.
  14. Oliver is 100% tradable. All things considered, and by that I mean (a) his contract status - Edmunds should be the priority (b) the fact we did not miss him while Injured (c) he is not a game changer and (d) we would want to protect draft picks if we make a trade to shore up our roster for a playoff and SB run, I feel Oliver is very expendable. I hope potential trade partners/suitors feel as highly as some posters here feel about Oliver here as that would ensure we get a good payback. But when watching Oliver he is just not a game changer. Does he make a play a game? Sure, but he has never dominated a game nor does he alter game plans. He has heart, but is undersized and simply cannot finish big plays. Yes, he deflected a pass in the KC, but that stated Mahommes also completed a TD pass while Oliver was trying to take him down and got put on his back from a single block and moved too easily to frequently. I get it, he seems like a good guy, seems to work hard, but we did not miss him at all during his time healing the high ankle sprain. I feel in the colder weather when teams will be running more we need sheer size on the DL and Bryant and virtually every DT back up we have provides a solid alternative. Honestly, I do not consider this a hot take, just a common sense consideration when you take actual play into account not aspirations or hopes.
  15. Funny! I did the same, but have a cat, it went from sound sleep to a horizontal jump 1/2 way across the room. It did not leave, rather stared at me with a hunched back for about 5 minutes. Then returned to sleeping.
  16. Please keep doing your game day post of "Ok boys, let’s matriculate the ball down the field!". At the risk of appearing mildly superstitious, I do search for your post in the game day thread each week. It is like my coffee fix on game day and shows me all is right in Bills-land.
  17. We need to keep Oliver on the bench, he is losing 1:1 battles easily, got carried for 3 yards by a RB, and got absolutely leveled, put on his back on the last play 1:1. Ed is just too small and not strong enough to do what we need to have done. See Jordan Phillips. He is crushing their OL.
  18. And 13 secs. White on White is the worst look, by far.
  19. And to be fair, Daboll earned much of the flak and critique he got here. Sure, let's "neutralize" the lack of running game while he was OC here and where the blame should fall, that not withstanding, he earned a lot of the criticism he received. He is not the Giants OC. He was blessed with having Allen (not visa versa) and as evidenced by our OFF output currently, seems like an argument could be made that Dorsey is an upgrade. Not sure of your original point, but it is clear ol' Dabs is not missed here from an OC viewpoint.
  20. ^^^ This. If we had an NFL caliber RB we would be a pretty dangerous OFF. I would add stretch runs to the mix.
  21. Absolutely. Also, it is not like our "new" safety tandem is in fact "new". They have been working very hard for a very long time for this exact moment.....for Bills fans this is where fears and dreams collide. We wanted to be the best, have quality depth, and be consistent favorites, well here we are.......maybe some of us are calm because we trust the Bills on this one. Why be so negative with adversity? That does not work well in life, at all. Go Bills!
  22. ^^^ This. Sure the shear volume of D players out is slightly concerning as is the consolidated timing of them being out, but this is the NFL and the backups are highly paid professionals. I think the media narrative of the Bills being 'vulnerable' will be leveraged in our favor. Great teams deal with stuff like this, in a successful way. This game will codify how "great" this Bills team is, this year. I trust Beane, McD, Frazier and most importantly the Bills players who have worked so long and so hard for this exact moment in time. Go Bills!
  23. I think if any game we need to bring DT's in from our practice squad it is this one. It appears Bryant, for sure, and likely Emili are notably bigger than Oliver and this has to help in not only literally stopping Henry and being able to physically handle him but also in requiring the OL to account for bigger players....ideally this frees up our linebackers. While Oliver looks better this year, thanks in large part to DaQuan, he really is not a game changer or someone an opposing OC loses sleep over. To preempt any hate here, I think Ed looked much better in is 1/2 of play with DaQuan on the field last week, yes. But he is far from being a "stud" in terms of the DL overall within the NFL landscape. This is the game having big nasty interior DL helps. Oh, on Henry's big 76 yard TD run last year against the Bills, IIRC, they ran right at Ed. That says something.
  24. Jordan Phillips. He will make big plays at key times. I feel he is the most dynamic play maker our interior DL has.
  25. Daboll was average at best; let us not forget game one last year, too many head scratching OC plays to count, yet the 4th quarter 4th down play call was cause for termination. Let us not hold Dorsey to a higher standard. Daboll was not even in the top 3 or even arguably top 5 in Josh's development.....Palmer, Dorsey (as you know, QB coach), Beasley/Diggs, veteran leaders at the time like Lee Smith, McDermott/Beane...that is 5 right there, off the cuff. Daboll and Allen's first year together, by all accounts, was not smooth in any way. Hence, the move upstairs. They viewed each other in vastly different lights...case in point, during an interview Josh would say it is nice having a guy you can call with a play idea and talk through it, etc.....then Daboll in a similarly timed interview would state he viewed Josh as "a son". Not only is that awkward, they were not even in synch in how they perceived their relationship. A buddy vs a father figure. To me this captured Daboll's disconnect of his perception to the reality of his place on our team. To be fair, Daboll was a genius play designer. No question. He was a very middling and average play caller. He was vastly overrated on his impact to Josh's development. By the end of last season with the sudden emergence of our running game you can tell McDermott had a come to jesus moment with Ol'Dabs. I am grateful to the Giants each and everyday.
