I know this is only his second year as a OC but I'm going to keep an eye on Philadelphia and the development of Carson Wentz. Frank Reich woukd be a great name to have lead this team. He'll be a HC one day, maybe we go the Jason Garrett route, becomes a HC a little early so it comes with lumps.

Wow. If we end up with the number 1 defense then we are SB contenders because the offense can score points. I believe at best top 10 but I'm hoping I'm wrong and we do end up #1

Jason Peters owes a great deal to Jim McNally, and he's said it himself. Maybe if Jasper had the opportunity to work with McNally then he could've stayed in the league.

I would've been ok with Roman as HC. He wasn't the problem.

Why would he want THIS job specifically when they don't have a QB? Wouldn't he be informing the Giants or the Titans, even Detroit seems better with Stafford and Johnson than what Chip left behind

I have zero issue with this stat. We scored points, we moved the football and we didn't turn the ball over. The offense didn't fail us, the defense did. Had we had a top 5 defense, this offense would've been good enough to win games in the playoffs.

Now that we know Rex is staying, I really hope they bring in a former Jet that knows the defense he runs well enough to be the field general, someone who can get everyone lined up correctly. Can't remember where I read it but that's what he had in Jim Leonard. Someone asked him why Jim was even on the field because the guy couldn't run anymore and his answer was simply "because he can get everyone lined up". Too bad we could to bring Bart Scott in last year, that would've gone a long way in transitioning to this defense.

Eh I would love nothing more than to be the reason the Jets don't make it to the playoffs, consolation prize for an overly hyped season.

IMO we have above average talent, below average coaching, and average QB play. And what's even more frustrating is that we have more talent than last tear and this team is worse. Tyrod > Orton McCoy > Spiller KW > Freddie (and I do like Freddie) Incognito > than any LG we had Darby > Leodis Clay > Chandler And yet Marrone and his little league OC got us closer to the playoffs than Rex and his SB OC

Agreed. This team has been on top for many years, they don't have down years, no organization in any sport has been this dominant and that's including sports that have no salary cap, and the most mind blowing part is that they do it with average talent, aside of the QB position, they get rid of players with high production and replace them with journeyman free agents and late round draft picks and remain on top. Genius or not every team has a dip. His genius has been finding a way to cheat and not getting caught.

The GM's job is to bring in talent. The HC job is to use the talent to win games.

Playoffs? Playoffs!? Anyway, I think the best we can hope for is a disaster and we don't carry this mess into next season. Rex Ryan teams always are at the top of the league in penalties. You can't win like that, not to mention he's game planning against our strengths.

Exotic blitz schemes is what you do when you need to generate a pass rush without having pass rushers. We have our cover guys rushing the passer and our pass rushers covering receivers. Makes you want to pull your hair out.

Also agree Whaley is not the problem. Rex hasn't lived up to his plan.
