Since working from home I've been watching some of their daytime programming like NFL Live, which is pretty good (especially compared to TSN talking head shows in Canada). However, their business model of bilking cable operators to give them $5 a pop from every customer, even if they just want to watch Lifetime or whatever is screeching to a halt this isn't 1998 or even 2012 anymore. ESPN+ is a tough sell too as you can't be everything to everyone and expect people to pay for analysis that is widely available for free.

I think he underplayed the injury. He's not going to put a target on his back shoulder and let the world know that the was the reason for his dip in play in weeks 5-6 (leaving out 7 as he didn't have to do as much). The weather and lack of Brown of course weren't ideal either.

Meh, Tua's new and he had a good game vs the #1 pick from the year before, of course people would be excited to talk about it. Josh and the Bills are getting plenty of deserved love for their signature win, but I love that it's not seen as exciting as the 2 other big stories of the weekend: Tua's big game & Tompa Bay crapping the bed at home. We were a 6-2 team who convincingly beat a 6-1 team, albeit with the presumptive MVP, in our own stadium. I'm glad the national media isn't treating it like a total shock.

I'm rooting for the Pats 100%. If the Jets win, all week I'd be paranoid about BB tanking the rest of the season and landing Trevor.

They don't usually do a game on Sunday if FOX does not have the double header. Also: Wentz. Dude. Take control of that division and put us all out of our Dallas in national games misery.

He'd probably have to DC another team to get consideration, similar to how Mike Pettite had to leave the Jets under Rex to get consideration. There's a lot of nepotism in the league, so it's not the craziest idea. Teams may be tantalized by the idea of a HC that can ask advice from Bill (especially after he retires). I'm sure he's more liberal sharing knowledge with his son than he was with Patricia, O'Brien & McDaniels.

This seems like a Bill move to me. Minor "injury" to hold him out to trade him. Sitting him with no excuse before a deal is in place could show desperation to get a deal done.

He really has been getting better and better. For the national guys: Romo's the best. Collinsworth is at his his best when the game's a blowout and riffin' with Al (though Michaels does most of the heavy lifting). I generally enjoy him but he is the most rigid in his preconceived notions of players and teams of all the national color guys. Aikman seems a little checked out this year, and his Dr. Hibbert laugh is getting distracting. Griese and Riddick are off to a good start.

It's surprising how bad he's handling this. He felt this was "his team" for the first time since Buffalo? Really not the 2015 Jets? His brand has being a good teammate and acting as a mentor to young QBs. 100% the Dolphins should have talked with him before it was leaked to the press, but this (sincere) outburst won't help with team cohesion and the players rallying around, and showing patience, with Tua. This could cost him a bunch of money down the line, I'm sure GMs drafting a rookie QB are taking notes.

Never. There are few HC/Owner combos I can see getting along worse than Bill O'Brien & Jerry Jones.

This is the right move, get Tua some playing time. The goal was to sit him until they deemed him ready. This isn't an Alex Smith/Mahomes situation, that team was loaded.

Not to give credence to the "fire everyone" mantra, but the Bills at that point were coming off their second Super Bowl appearance. I'm generally happy with the HC and front office since they took over, but they should win a playoff game first at least before we start using these analogies.

I can't speak to his playing ability at this stage, but it's hard to fathom a stronger message.

Someone like Jordan Phillips sure could help us out.
