I was hoping that this would be announced a day after Josh McDaniels accepted the position and 5 minutes before he was due to sign the contract.

It's entirely possible that Josh was collateral damage and his agent Tom Condon was the real target. He came off looking the worst IMO - how could he not have tasked a junior employee to scour over the social media accounts of his draft prospect clients? Possibly a rival agent?

They don't have enough money to pay most likely, with the Rams and Patriots in a bidding war for him.

Hard choice between Reich, Lynn and Nagy. All have done great jobs with their teams this year. Nagy having the worst of the QBs by far cancels out my Bills homer-ism, but getting to dunk on McDaniels gives Reich my vote.

I think all 5 teams feel good-great about their QBs. All have shown flashes, none look like outright busts this year. However, if we are talking coaches, Todd Bowles likely regrets the trade that lead to taking Darnold over Allen & Rosen. Nothing against Sam, but he hasn't looked that much better than the Joshes to justify losing the two second round picks (plus one next year). Would those picks have translated to enough wins to save his job? Probably not, but I'm sure he must have thought about it.

Respectfully disagree here. They haven't been competitive at the same time for almost 20 years now. Obviously, beating them in the finale last year helped get us into the playoffs, but they threw in the towel after Cutler's first series. That game aside, it's hard to remember many meaningful games between the two teams in recent memory. I think the Jags are the main rival right now.

This was THE rivalry when I started watching football, but it's been 19 years since both teams were good at the same time. Time to call this rivalry? The Jags are much better Florida villain.

I've done a deep dive into the NFL rulebook and found something shocking: It's actually legal to retain an OC for consecutive seasons. Crazy but here me out guys: why don't we retain the guy who's offense has been improving and give the rookie qb some continuity in year 2.
