  1. Haha agreed. I was talking with another poster in the week leading up to this game and we were worried about the aggressive/reckless way he plays the game as if he's trying to end someone's career on every single play. What a punk, he seems destined to become a Jets/Gregg Williams player at some point. Idk he might be the kind of guy we'd like if he was on our team and played with that edge. But as you said, talks a way bigger game than he can actually back up with his play. Watching their safeties struggle gives me so much appreciation for the job that Hyde and Poyer do. Love those guys.
  2. I'm strangely confident/calm about this game. My trust in McDermott to get the defense fixed and the huge expected difference in the health of the Bills and Raiders today leads me to believe that we'll score a bunch on their defense and then limit the damage that Waller and Jacobs can inflict on the other side. Most importantly, the massive leap Josh Allen seems to have taken in his development gives me faith that we are never out of any game and can outscore teams in shootouts which is a fun feeling that we haven't experienced in ages...probably since the Bledsoe years? Bills 34 - the Fighting Grudens 21 P.S. Many thanks to the Raiders for the assist in drafting Ed Oliver! Ferrell looks like a decent player this year but I'd rather have our guy!
  3. Agreed, almost a Jamal Adams-lite in terms of the aggressive way he plays the safety position. I have been checking out the Raiders fan forums this week though and a lot of their fans are unhappy with his play so far this season. Missed tackles, poor angles taken, etc. Like you said though, keep him away from Josh and Diggs especially.
  4. I was there last year for the Rugby World Cup (two weeks mostly in Tokyo/Ito/Kyoto/Osaka/Kobe). These deer eat right out of your hand. Japan was an amazing place, would highly recommend. https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e4103.html "Considered the messengers of the gods, Nara's over 1000 deer have become a symbol of the city and have even been designated as a natural treasure. Deer crackers are for sale around the park, and some deer have learned to bow to visitors to ask to be fed."
  5. Bring Fitz back to be Josh's back up on Day 1 of the 2021 offseason (AKA the day after the Bills Super Bowl win 🤪). Seriously though, great guy, great leader, still has the ability to step in and keep the offense going when needed, and can be another coach/mentor for Josh which will be especially important if Daboll leaves. Seems like a win-win to me...1 year/$5.5 million?
  6. It would be huge for our defense if he is out. His elite speed is something any defense would have to game plan for. I think Edwards (their other rookie WR) is definitely out this week, he's the type of big, physical WR that has given Levi trouble in the past. We need to concentrate all our resources on containing Jacobs and Waller. Better tackling and gap integrity in the run game than last week would be a start. The Pats actually did a really good job limiting both Jacobs and especially Waller. Renfrow is a tough cover as well. I do think the defense has a bounce back game this week, hopefully we're healthier by Sunday and I trust McDermott to get it fixed.
  7. IMO the Raiders X-factors or players I'd want to game plan for are: Offense- Jacobs, Ruggs (will he be back for this game?), Renfrow, and Waller. Incognito being out is a huge loss for them though and hurt them against the Pats. Hopefully Ruggs rests another week as his speed would change any offense. Renfrow is sneaky good and seems to be Carr's safety valve. Pats contained Waller for what that's worth (on paper, our LBs should be miles better than theirs). Defense- Maxx Crosby...and that's the entire list. He's an underrated pass rusher (2 sacks in 2020) and we'll want to chip or provide some help to Darryl Williams. But other than Crosby, not impressed with anyone else on the Raiders defense. A bunch of league average players for the most part. Other than Ruggs, I think we match up well with this team. Hopefully we can execute a complete game in all three phases for the first time this year.
  8. Agreed, no Jalen Ramsey equivalent or anyone close to it on the Raiders. Diggs should be able to feast again like Weeks 1-2. The offense was even more impressive yesterday when you consider that the Rams limited Diggs to a certain extent and Brown left the game early. If Dawkins and Brown get healthy (and our LBs get closer to 100%), we're flying.
  9. Anyone notice the bitmojis of the players that come up during the Seahawks-Cowboys game when someone scores a TD? I wonder how many TDs Josh Allen needs to score before Fox bothers to assign an intern to draw up a Josh Allen version LOL Not sure what qualifies players to make the cut but I feel like it's the highest honor the Fox broadcast can give out and I want some Bills ones.
  10. IT DID! Thanks dude, you definitely get credit for the win!
  11. Know what you mean but I doubt he was sneaking by any more defenses anyways after last week's highlight TD catch. I've seen enough, the kid is going to be a great player and a huge steal for us in the 4th round.
  12. I feel like you have generally given fair/reasonable takes on this board in the past especially for a fan of a division rival. The only logical explanation for the above is that SAR I or Jimmy Spags have hacked your account.
  13. Agreed and you could make the case that Goff is the worst QB under pressure and least mobile of the three QBs we'll have faced. If we can pressure the QB as effectively as the first two weeks, we'll be 3-0.
  14. Don't be fooled, apparently he gave up 11 completions in coverage last week and that's why he had so many tackles. You could make a legit case that the Rams starting LBs are worse than our backups.
  15. Every time one of you guys tweeted out these deep ball highlights in preseason, I tried not to get my hopes up because there was no real risk/stakes and it's just one on one coverage. But man has it been awesome to see Josh consistently hit these throws the past two Sundays...onwards and upwards!
  16. Looks like the Rams starting LG will miss this game which could be significant for us. Hopefully Oliver and Jefferson can have huge games and wreck some plays up the middle. Also sounds as if Rams' fans aren't expecting Akers to play much this week with his rib injury. Will be Brown/Henderson in the backfield with the obligatory carries for Kupp and Woods mixed in.
  17. All this kid does is work. He was outside running routes like 10 minutes after we drafted him. Loved the pick then and even more now. Need to spread out the Rams next week with the same 11 and 10 personnel we've been running and find ways to get the ball into Davis' hands.
  18. Chargers should have gone for it on 4th down in OT, would have been 100% the right call. Chargers had been moving the ball on KC all day and the analytics/win probability would support going for it. Have to mention though that the Ingram Offside penalty was a huge factor though on KC's winning OT drive. It gave the Chiefs a new lease of life, they would have had to punt otherwise.
  19. THANK YOU! The game day threads have been spiraling into despair so quickly this year. More positive vibes for Week 3 I hope! Allen has taken the next step and hopefully one or both of Edmunds and Milano are back soon. Can't wait to see where this team is headed!
  20. On pace to exceed last year's passing yards total by Week 9. What a start to the season.
  21. Awesome game by Allen and Diggs. Strong performances by Brown/Beasley, the O-line, and the RBs. Defense missed Edmunds and Milano a lot, but was impressed with Poyer, Dodson, and the D-line. When everyone is healthy, we are a CB2 away from being able to match up with anyone in this league. Exciting times ahead.
  22. Haushka about to be the new Titans kicker next week. Gostowski just missed an extra point (after missing 4 FGs last week).
  23. Because they thought it would be funny to build an open stadium where the sun only beats down on the visitors' sideline...tbh it's super obnoxious but I have to admire it as a manufactured home-field advantage for most of their games when the sun is out.
  24. The Legend of Jerome Boger strikes again!
  25. This. Even though Parker, Xavien Howard, and Byron Jones are likely available for the game, they all were limited at practice this week and it doesn't sound like any of them will be 100% which is good news for our passing game and pass defense.
