I get why they can't keep every player they want to move on from until they have a replacement, the cap just won't allow it, and perhaps you have some cancerous players, but I don't think either is the case with our current QB.
I really hope they keep Tyrod until they have a better player. The cap hit isn't any worse than whiffing on a big extension, and it gives us a chance to not play a rookie in the first couple of years.
It drives me nuts the way the Bills seem to cut their best QB because he's not "good enough" when they don't have anyone better.
I'm gonna wait until the season ends, I mean if we get to 8-8 from here there's a lot to hope for going into next year. Some of those other years just left me hollow inside. Maybe if we loose the next 7/8 like we lost the last three, but until then . . .
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. People love to judge decisions based on outcomes instead of possible outcomes.
I wonder what the game would have looked like if Benjamin hadn't gone down immediately. I'm sure he was a big part of their game plan. After that, a pick six that wasn't Peterman's fault, and then to immediately have a pick when your hit. I'm not sure many rookie QBs would be able to pick themselves up after that.
Having KB catch contested balls all day would be my game plan going into the game.
Well as far as 5 goes . . .
I think the successful part of the running last year was the strength of Glenn and Incognito side by side with a pretty dependable Wood next door, the whole right side was a mess and we were just able to plan around it mostly by bringing our left linemen to the right.
Now Glenn is hurt and Incognito and Wood are a year older. I'm not sure the right side has gotten better either.
And I haven't even mentioned Roman yet.
The only bargain is that you might actually be able to trade for him. No way is he cheap by any stretch, just consider how many teams would be interested.
Rex was having Mario drop into coverage . . . It wouldn't have suprised me if he had Darius drop into coverage once . . . I'm sure that might be confusing . . . and not just to the QB.
Yeah I think we can probably ship TT for a seventh. His contract is pretty good for a starting QB, and he would be awesome as a back up when teams haven't planned for him. Seems like there's not a lot of downside if you know you don't have a set starting QB.
Maybe there are even situations where you can get more.
