In 1974 they moved the goal post to the back end line, if they left the damn thing where it was the kick would have been in Norwoods range!
THat is very true but I still feel after watching it again that it would have been closer but I still feel it would have been wide.

I love this article and wish the media would focus more on positive news such as this. Kyle has been a true leader on and off the field and a complete class act. I am proud that he is a Buffalo Bill and could very well be the best 5th round pick we ever had. I remember complaining that we only got a 5th round pick for Eric Moulds but then Kyle dropped to us when I thought he was gone by round 3 for sure. My favorite analogy when he came out of college was being compared to a bowling ball with butcher knives sticking out. Wonder article thank you very much for posting it.

They are paying him $36mil over 2 seasons, I would do whatever the hell the team wants for that.
-
SInce we are now $14.2 under the cap I would love to see us kick more tires for our right side. I know Khalif Barnes is 34 but I would not mind seeing what he can bring to the table.
-
Bart Scott could definitely still play if deseired, always a beast
-
I think the chess match between TT and defenses having a full year of film to study him will outweigh our right side.
-
By the way, UB's OT John Kling (from Depew) was signed by the Bears
I think he will stick too if he can play special teams as well, he has so much football sense he will make it work
-
He put up Gronk like #s in college and a near genius IQ.
I don't know anything about what kickers are out there, but hopefully we bring a couple in.
The kicker we signed from Georgia has a monster leg and I would love to see him make the team so we do not need 2 kickers like normal teams
-
I agree that this was a good draft but the 1985 draft I still feel was our best so far, but time will tell
-
Offer him 1mil with an incentive laden contract. Cannot afford to pay guys $6mil to barely play.
I would much rather see us go after James Jones if he is affordable, at least if the rumorr about Green Bay not wanting to resign him is true
-
Is Gilmore's contract not friendly this year?
He is getting $11 mil this year in actual pay and vs the cap, well deserved

Would it be criminal to pick the 80s?
I had lots of fun in the 80's, not as much as the 90's though, being at the 51-3 AFC Championship game getting stared down by Howie Long from our Howiiiiiiie chant, never leaving miracle come back game, Joe Montana's last football play getting concused by Bruce Smith right in front of me and I in my Bruce jersey and the Jags playoff game where Jim Kelly took a very cheap forearm to the head right in front of me for his last play ever.
-
I think we would have paid him decent money if not for salary cap issues, I wish him well
-
5 mil, 3 years --- sounds on the low-ish end == like a hometown discount.
What do you guys think?
It is and he said it was as well because he likes how Rex treats the players like men
-
Oh and the fact that he punched Golden Tate in the face makes me like him even more. If only he could get to Trump and Kanye now.....
-
Ok that is awesome and I could not agree with you more about keeping him, he is a stud at guard and was our best on the line the last time he played here as well, we should have resigned him then too
-
next up...
Kyle Williams
Leodis McKelvin
Corey Graham
?
Nigel Bradham is unsigned

Our salary cap is killing us this year, that has not been an issue since the 90s. The franchise tag will be high for Glenn if it is 13.7mil for RT this year I am sure left will be 18 or more.
HILARIOUS !!!
He helped Eric Wood look better you mean. Eric should be chipping in ; )
I agree with you on this completely, he lost his Louisville mean streak
-
He was so well rounded and not just a pass catcher
-
He plays safety on our Hail Mary pass defense

Is there any doubt repetitive head trauma whether minor or not is bad for your brain. Just look at former boxers. I'll also go out on a limb and say playing basketball is bad for your joints.
And playing hockey is bad for your dentition
Hockey helmets are not even close to football helmets for concusion prevention. I have been playing for a very long time but I also have a good neurologist. The NHL should consider a similiar protocol as football for concusions.
From the Dr. who discovered CTE, an engaging thought provoking piece in the NYT: "Don’t Let Kids Play Football" http://nyti.ms/21IClUy
Aside from building character it also teaches them how to work with others in a team setting and is very beneficial for future employment

You can also look at it optimistically that the chance based on this alogorithm went frolm 17% to 37% in 3 weeks.
-
We have the final playofff spot now, it is just up to us to retain it.

Still trying to figure out why we kept Boobie Dixon over Fred and Bryce. He has had 2 big special teams plays since coming here and that is it. Even if you rule out Fred for being 34 Bryce had far more upside potential than Dixon.
I cannot forsee them cutting ties with Whaley either.

If Tyrod still looks good after the other teams have a year of film of him to study then yes by all means pay the man.
