I guarantee you they won't cut EJ. EJ has finally shown some improvement this preseason. I think EJ stunk it up his first two years partly because of "Marrone balony." Balony had EJ so worried he might throw an interception EJ was afraid to wing it. I'm not saying EJ would have been great, just not quite as bad as he was. You can bet Marone will never get another head coaching job in the NFL. The only way EJ might get cut is if the Packers release Hunley. But that is highly unlikely. Hunley has played great for the Packers in the preseason. Packers will probably find a way to keep him on their roster. Even if Hunley became available I think the Bills would keep EJ and dump meh instead.

I didn't hear anything, did Seattle finally sign him? I hope so Fred deserves to play in a championship game before he retires. He will be teamed up with Marshawn Lynch once again.

Bills have to pray nobody on the offensive line gets hurt. Kujo and Cyril Richardson are totally useless. If they're lucky maybe the Bills can find an offensive lineman or two on the waiver wire. Kujo is definitely a bust. I can't believe Whaley took this guy in the 2nd round. WOW what a mistake that was. RIchardson doesn't look a whole lot better either. NO DEPTH on the O line. The other area I see with absolutely no depth is corner. I think the Bills will eventually be forced to move Graham back to corner. Ron Brooks is a good special teams guy but he stinks at corner. He couldn't cover me. I have a feeling McLovin will be out most of the year so you can't count on him. Injury was a lot worse than the Bills thought.

QB Tyrod Taylor to start Week 1
ScrewyLouie replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As long as it was either Taylor or Manuel I was o.k. with it. I couldn't sit through another season with Orton, errr, I mean Cassel as quarterback. I would rather watch paint dry than watch a game where Orton or Cassel were playing. Did you notice how conservative the play calling was when they had Cassel in there. Just a whole different approach. No excitement and too afraid to take any kind of risk. When Taylor was in there the excitement level was like kissing a hot cheerleader underneath the bleechers. When Cassel was in there it was like kissing your grandmother. UCK! -
2015-16 Buffalo Bills Negative Thread
ScrewyLouie replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No Fred Jackson, that says it all. -
Are you kidding me?????? I am starting to think Ryan and Whaley are idiots. Why would they cut the best short yardage back on the roster. How can he cut Mr. Buffalo Bill who is also a great leader in the locker room? This is a sad day for Bills fans. Look at some of the junk running backs he kept. Number 41 and 39 stink, why would you keep those slugs over Fred Jackson? I just don't understand their thinking on this move. It doesn't make sense. WOW, I am still in shock.

Since you can't combine the two guys to make one super quarterback do what the Bills did today. Start Manuel. Leave him in until he cools off. As long as he's moving the team and scoring he stays in. Once he cools off put Tyrod in the game. Let him play a few series and see how he does. Rotate them and see who is moving the team that day. Go with the hot hand.

ESPN: Is Tannehill better than Luck?
ScrewyLouie replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No Tannehill and Thad Lewis are about even. -
I would trade any one of them for Tom Brady straight up. Or I would trade any one of the three for a 1st round pick. Other than that you might as well keep them all.

Lurker - Thank God you're not the Bills GM.

The Bills wanted to see how the defense would look without him. They want to find out if they can get rid of him after this season or if it would hurt the defense too much. If they can play almost as well without him they might as well trade him before they lose him in free agency. He's going to want Suh money and the Bills can't afford that.

Steelers at Bills 1st half thread - Preseason Game 3
ScrewyLouie replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would say thank you to the Pegulas. Money can change things, Whaley can't. Any GM can look good if he has an owner who opens the vault. Money talks and bull sheit walks. Well all I can say is a feel a lot better about the QB situation after this game. Tyrod and EJ had GREAT games. I just hope it wasn't a fluke. If these guys can play like that in the last preseason game I think you have to feel really confident in this offense. The O line looks 100 times better than last year. I think they are the most improved area on the team. Yep, it took Leo 5 years to learn to turn and look for the ball. He would be in pretty good position a lot of the times but he couldn't play the ball. -

Hackett only had two running plays in his play book. 1) run up the middle over left guard 2) run up the middle over right guard. Defense was so confused they didn't know if they were going to run to left of the center or to the right of the center. Is it just me or is this year's offense 100 times more exciting than Marone's baloney. -

I see an easy cut. Duke Williams. He can not cover anybody. -

I wouldn't get rid of Manuel. He may just be a VERY SLOW learner. The kid has all the physical tools. If he ever picks up the mental part of the game he would probably make a pretty good quarterback. Keep him on the team and make him watch film 8 hours a day during the off season. Have a quarterback coach watch the film with EJ and explain what he is supposed to do in those situations. Who knows a light might go off in EJ's head and he may someday catch on to what the defense is doing to him. Maybe he's just slow and it will take him 4 or 5 years to get it. After 5 years if shows no improvement cut his a$$ -

3rd string. Keep him around in case of injury and to help teach the two young quarterbacks. You just don't dress him on game day. -

Well that will teach you to dress up as a woman and try to pick up a guy on the football team. -

So one guy out means it's not the starting defense. O.K. then the Bills won't have a starting defense against the Colts, so we might as well forget about having a chance to win that one. Then what happens if one of the starting 11 gets hurt. Then they won't have a starting defense for the whole year. -

I think this is a two man competition for the QB job. Tyrod Taylor and EJ Manuel. They could keep Cassel in case one of those guys get hurt. Cassel should be able to move up to being the back up if one of the other two get hurt. Plus they can keep him around to help the young guys learn from his 10 years in the league. -

What do you mean it's not the starting defense? Are you watching the game???? I'll give you they don't game plan for preseason games but how do you figure it's not the starting defense? -

The Bills will have to put Cory Graham back at corner. They will have no choice when the regular season is here. Darby will get eaten alive, he's too small to cover NFL receivers who are taller these days. -

I have to agree with you. When Cassel is out there they call plays that are so conservative and predictable.
