Someone please get a bill board started. I can't take much more of the Rex show . He Talks the Talk but he can't walk the walk. "Get ready Bills fans, We're going" LOL
-
He will finish WORSE than Marrone, that's a given. But nothing will happen this year. They just hired him and owe him a lot of guaranteed money. Ryan will be the coach next year, you can bet the ranch on that. There might be a few other moves like an assistant coach or GM but you're stuck with Ryan for at least another year. I know after 16 years of missing the post season that's the last thing you wanted to hear. A few more years of losing before they clean house and try to turn this abortion around. Maybe it will make you feel better to know most people around the country pity Bills fans because they know what y gone through. Most people that don't have a favorite team will usually root for the Bills because they feel like no fans should be put through what Bills fans have. They feel like enough is enough. Give those Bills fans a break already, let them have a winning season for crying out loud. Those poor souls have suffered for close to 20 years. They haven't had a decent team since Jim Kelly retired.

That's why Levy had success, he let his coordinators do their thing. Levy was a very, very lousy coach, his coordinators and coaches made him. When Kansas City ran him out of town he was still trying to run the old triple T college formation. If you noticed his first year or two the Bills had a good D but their offense couldn't score. Levy was smart enough to realize he didn't know jack shiit about offense so he let Marchibroda and Jim Kelly design a whole new offense. They threw all of Levy's dumb plays in the trash can and invented the NO HUDDLE. Marchibroda made that team not Levy. All Levy did on the sideline was decide whether they were going to accept a penalty or decline it. The other coaches did everything else.

Name the ones pre Whaley, kitty cat.

Sean Peyton is probably going to leave New Orleans. Pull the truck up to his porch and start unloading the green.
-
By bunch he means MANY. What he is telling you is the Bills have MANY bad contracts . If you want see another perfect example of a team with bad contracts, (especially to aging players), look at the NY Yankees. Arod, Tex, Sabathia, and Beltran to name a few. You get it now?
-
They shouldn't fire him until they get the record over 20 years without a post season game. The Bills are a perfect 16 and 0, why give up on the only record the Bills have? Yeah it might not be the nicest record to have but it's still a record no matter how you cut it. It's the only one they are good at so let them get it up over 20 years so no other team will ever be able to break it. You get it up to 20 years in a row and it will be nearly impossible, if not impossible for any team to break. They're on a roll don't upset the apple cart. Keep the record going. Buffalo has to be known for something.
-
I think you're all fonged up. Whaley has built a team with a losing record. Winning is the key in the NFL. NFL stands for Not For Long if you don't win.
-
That's o.k. like Pegula said before he'll just tap another oil well. LOL Guy has a ton of money but you have to admit he doesn't know jack shiit about owning sports teams. I don't who's worse the Sabres or the Bills. They both suck!
-
I don't think Schwartz would come back. I think he would turn it down. How did Rex con the Pegula's into signing him?? He must have dazzled them with his bull shiit.

Great poll, it's nice to find out that not all fans drink the kool aid and walk around with blinders on. The smarter fans can see the inept people at the top making poor football decisions. No matter how hard the kool aid drinkers try to sugar coat it this is STILL a NON PLAYOFF, losing team. 16 years in row kool aid drinkers. Explain that one away! HA HA HA HA Oh wait kool aid kids, here's what you can say: They lose because of the officials. The whole league, the officials, and the rest of the world are all out to get the Bills. It's a huge conspiracy against Buffalo. It's probably the same people who were in on the conspiracy to assassinate John F. Kennedy. LOL
-
o.k. I'm glad you admitted the Bills aren't in good shape with the salary cap. They have to let at least two starters go because they can't fit them under the cap. On top of that they don't have much room under the cap. They will gain a little because the cap will go up but not a whole lot.
-
You just answered your own question. He built a LOSING team, not even a .500 team. But anyway I would like to add drafting of EJ Manual in the first round. No matter what you say that wasn't Nix's decision alone. Whaley was on board 100% of the way with picking EJ. In fact because Nix was leaving I think it was more Whaley's choice than Nix's.
-
Man dude you're way off base. You sure you're not high on something? They might not even be able to retain their own free agents let alone go out get some from other teams! They have Cordy Glenn, Rich Cognito, Percy Harvin, and linebacker Nigel Bradham becoming free agents just to name a few. And they aren't very far below the cap already.

There are rumors going around that Sean Peyton might leave the Saints after this season. If it happens and I'm Pegula a I would jump at the chance and sign Peyton. I'd give Rex his pink slip and tell him to take Whaley with him. Whaley was a Buddy Nix pupil and it shows. If it wasn't for Nix's bonehead decisions the Bills would already have their franchise quarterback. Buddy Nix was the worst GM in Bills history except for maybe Marv Levy. Between Marv and Nix they set this team back 5 years. I can't blame Levy he was a coach NOT a qualified GM. I blame that on Ralph (the loser) Wilson. Wilson didn't know any better because he lacked football smarts. Wilson was a nice guy but he was ratard as far as understanding how to run a football team. In fact I kept telling everyone as long as Wilson owns the Bills they will NEVER win a super bowl, and boy was I right!!! Rex's schemes don't work in this modern day era. The game has past him by. If I was Pegula I would have Rex join his brother in the unemployment line. Both of them are HAS BEENS. Their father's schemes worked 40 years ago but those days are long gone. The game is completely different than when Buddy Ryan coached.

I am still concerned about this offense
ScrewyLouie replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you should be concerned with both the offense and defense. Both sides are not playing better than .500 ball. That won't get you into the playoffs. It's mind boggling how Ryan could take a defense that was 4th in the league and drag them down to the bottom half of the league. I would bring Schwarz back and make him assistant head coach and def coordinator, with a huge pay raise. If Ryan doesn't like it fire him. I can see it's true what Jets fans were saying about Ryan. He's just a wind bag full of hot air. He spouts off and talks the talk but he isn't capable of walking the walk. I remember last year before they played the Bills the second time. Ryan said there was no way the Bills could beat them again. He said it was going to be a lot different the second time around because the Jets were a lot better than the Bills. The Bills went in there and blew the Jets out by 30 or 40 points. The guy is a complete idiot. He came to Buffalo and when asked about the playoffs he said, "get ready, we're going". LOL The only way they're going is if they buy tickets and sit in the stands. -

Mark80, you may be satisfied with a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 16 years but a lot of other fans expect a little better product for their money. You are one of the main reasons Buffalo is known as the "city of good losers" around the league. You're one of those fans who are just happy to have a team no matter how bad they stink. A lot of other fans want to feel what its like to have a winning team that has a legitimate chance to make the post season. I bet you're also happy with the Sabres another loser that has been in last place since Carter was president. -
Oops! Hogan's No Catch was a Catch says the NFL
ScrewyLouie replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You want some cheese to go with your whine? You don't seem to mention the bad calls against Buffalo's opponents do you? It's not a one way street. What about the blown whistle that shouldn't have been when the QB got rid of the ball and he was still in bounds? The refs blew that call too. I don't hear you complaining about that one. Buffalo fans are so used to losing they always blame the losses on the refs. It makes them feel better. -
Dude it's Buffalo, the city of good losers. It will NEVER end. Not in this millenium anyway. The Patriots will rule for at least 10 more years. And in a few more years they will still be at the bottom of the league. This franchise is doomed for a long, long, long time. Stay drunk my friend, the games are much easier to watch that way.

I hate to admit it, but Taylor sucks
ScrewyLouie replied to Doug Flutie Band's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's so simple to evaluate Tyrod Taylor and everyone here is trying to make it more complicated than it is. Anyone who understands football can see Tyrod is a really good to exceptional back up quarterback. But as far as a starter, not so much. I hate to burst the bubble of the kool aid drinkers but he's not a guy who can take a team to the promise land. As a starter he's what I call a .500 or 8 and 8 quarterback. He can limit turnovers because he doesn't take chances and if the defense and the running backs play a 100% error free, perfect ball game you can win with him. But if you get behind and you need him to make a comeback to get back in the game you're out of luck. He's not that guy. He can't carry a team. I like the guy but mentally he's LOST out there. He can't read a defense and can't figure out where all of his receivers will be. That being said there is nothing the Bills can do until the off season anyway. You have to play Tyrod this year. EJ is the biggest bust the Bills have ever drafted except for maybe Maybin or Walt Patulski. Throwing a football EJ couldn't hit Lake Erie if he was standing on a dock in the Erie Basin Marina. -
I don't expect the Bills to win but I hope they can keep it close and respectable. I don't want them to get blown out again like the first meeting. The Bills need to throw on FIRST down! Everyone plays the Bills to run on first down. Screw them up and throw high percentage short 8 to 10 yard passes on first down. Don't throw the long low percentage bombs. Use the short pass to set up the run, then run it. On defense you have to blitz UP THE MIDDLE. If you come from the sides Brady will kill you. You have to get pressure in his face up the middle. If you can push that pocket back into Brady's face you can rattle him. He needs that middle of the field to be clear so he can see the field. Pressure up the middle is the only way to get him off of his game. But that's easier said than done. His offensive line is hard to push back off the line. If the Bills D can't get pressure up the gut they might as well get on the bus and go home.

What the hell is wrong with Karlos now?

A blueprint to slow down Brady?
ScrewyLouie replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brady throws under 10 yards 90% of the time. Blitz him so he has to get the ball out fast and have your DBs jump the short routes. Bump and run coming off the line for 5 yards and stay right on them to guard the short quick pass. If you get beat deep because of it, so what. He's going to march it down the field with dink and dunk anyway. He shouldn't have time to throw deep if he's getting rid of the ball in 2.3 seconds. A receiver can't get deep in two seconds. So the DBs have to concentrate on covering the short routes. The blitz should make Brady get rid of the ball before the receiver can get deep. The key on blitzing is coming up the middle and pushing the pocket back crowding Brady and his vision. If you blitz Brady from the sides he just steps up in the pocket and let's you go around him and tackle air. Watch Jerry Hughes in past games and see how many times this happens to him. You have to get the pressure up the gut with hands up. That partially blocks Brady's view and he also has to find a lane he can get the ball through without it hitting the extended arms that are up. If you give Brady a clear view of the field without pressure coming at him from the middle he'll tear you a new A-hole. -
A blueprint to slow down Brady?
ScrewyLouie replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Robey is too small to knock Brady down. Robey could put his helmet between Brady's numbers and he would just bounce off. Brady could swat Robey away like a fly. What's Robey, something like 5 foot 2 and 125 lbs. ? -
After Spikes got in trouble in New England and released him I haven't heard anything about him. Is he on someone's roster? Is he injured, did anyone pick him up?
