  1. it's entertainment.  I know in the present state of things that having a differing opinion is a terrible affront, worthy of banishment, but really ... if ya don't like the guy then DON'T LISTEN.  I don't care for MTS (Murph The Shill) so guess what?  I don't listen.  It's really that simple.  I am consistently amused by those who work themselves into a rage over (insert personality/network here) ... you're just hangry - have a Snickers

McDermott fired the coordinator from year one and hired a new up-and-coming coordinator in Brian Daboll.

except he's not new and he has been less than average at every other stop as an OC ... this is not a comment to bash/judge him, just pointing out a fact, which are frequently lacking in these pages

Absolutely nothing beats good sound! In the age of home theatre, I have remained a two channel guy. Vinyl is still the way to go. I understood good sound when I was a teenager. I shoveled drive ways for two weeks to get my first Marantz Integrated amplifier back in the day.

Beautiful! If you do get your hands on one, dont let it go. You may want to check Audiogon.com for vintage Marantz. It is a good site with honest members. Most audiophiles take better care of their audio equipment than their cars.

I still have my Marantz 4230 Quad receiver ... it's in pristine shape

I am an audiophile. I like high end stereo equipment, and I often buy, sell and trade it. My favorite brand of equipment is Bryston or Krell. The components are built military grade and produce awesome sound. Bryston equipment carries a 20 year warranty!

Nothing today sounds like a good quality component system of yesterday, even when we're talking about mainstream brands then (Marantz, Sansui, Dual) ... while .mp3 files have revolutionized taking music with you, they are the bane of audio purists

I do like classic car shows and museums.  The Pierce-Arrow museum in Buffalo wasn't bad.  The Cleveland History Center has a whole nice big section of vintage cars from the early 1900s in their basement.

I love to drive as well.  Sometimes even driving to get my food shopping done in Philly which is an hour ride from me.  Changes of scenery/driving are nice, especially when there's not as many people on the road.

Self driving vehicles will be the bane of my existence ... I can see the utility for me on a drive to Florida or something of that nature, but otherwise? NO WAY!

Anyone else notice when they sit down to hand write a few notes, that they can type for hours without a problem, but 5 minutes into a note and your hand feels like it's about to fall off?

#truth ... I have absolutely NO idea how I was able to handwrite papers in high school

Is WKBW in trouble? I know they are probably 3rd in ratings but I haven't heard that.

Joe B is leaving because the constraints of a broadcast sportscast doesn't give him the opportunity to play to his strengths, namely detailed, long form reporting.  Also, The Athletic is throwing some good coin around and TV salaries aren't what they used to be in the days of Irv, Rick & Tom (I am in the business, FYI)

I prefer Bove anyway..Long,tall Joe is hardly on and he's clueless about the Sabres. With that being said..those sports segments are getting shorter and shorter.

Josh Reed (4) is my favorite out of all the locals.

Bove is a genuinely good guy, is ambitious, and works hard ... partied with Reed in Lauderdale at last seasons Miami game: also a great guy
