Phil Villapiano. The whole time he was here he complained about being here. His only memorable quote was "Buffalo may not be the end of the world, but you can see it from there." I was glad to see him gone. He sucked anyways.

He is one of the best, if not THE best blocking TE in the NFL. They didn't sign him to split the safeties deep anyways. Also, he doesn't drop passes.

Slowest Bill ever and after 2 seasons, he still didn't even know the playbook.

That quote is actually hilarious!  If we’re being honest, Buffalo was not “all that” back in those days ... I guess I’m not thin skinned about buffalo jabs like many seem to be.

Minimal talent? The guy won how many championships in Canada? I thought everyone liked Flutie. Even had his own cereal geeez.

By all accounts I’ve heard, dude was a first class azzwhole, but I never had any interaction with him. He definitely had talent and energized the bills fan base when they desperately needed it, but opposing defenses caught on to his skill set rather quickly, so he was more of a flash in the pan type.

  3. A city with things to do for average buffalo Joe Sixpack is very different than a city with something to do for young ego driven millionaires. Combine that with crappy weather for a fair portion of the year, NYS income taxes, and an overall record of crappy football?  It is what it is and you will pay a “Buffalo tax” for free agents

I travel to all bills away games in the southeast. I’ve also been to new era recently. The amenities and condition of new era is no worse than the superdome in New Orleans or the titans stadium in Nashville or the Jags stadium in Jacksonville.

Meh.  Those other stadiums have concourses that,  while not pretty,  are 2x to 3x wider and far more accommodating to fans.

  5. Fighting?  Puking?  I suppose both of our big time sport franchises have nothing to offer in that regard.

I thought he displayed amazing control ... projectile vomiting would have been more onerous for those around him ???

  6. I guess it’s nice for him that he’ll be on a Super Bowl roster .... wondering if he’s planning another party where the ladies have to apply and submit medical records!  He was a better soldier in Buffalo than I thought he’d be, and our one bonafide star for several years ... he hit the wall however - no shame in that, we all do sooner or later.

The Bills have all the pieces in place to replicate what San Fran is doing.

With a stronger commitment to running the ball, and a continued effort to keep the defense as one of the best in the NFL the Bills could be an elite football team next year.

I think they need to ask Allen to do a lot less, run the ball more with their backs, and continue to upgrade both lines.

I just don’t want to draft a quarterback 7th overall and ask him to do less. I could draft a guy in the 3rd for that.

It's Jerry Sullivan's holy grail. He needs a flaw in McBeane's armor to pick at. Without a negative story the guy is lost. You should have heard his radio show when the Bills were 3-0. He sounded like he lost the will to live.

To be fair, he’s heaped praise upon the team this season when warranted. You just have to listen more frequently. He has some excellent guests and is often more interesting than the Simon/White program

I have no problem moving on. The problem comes from fans that won’t admit Mahomes is great. Why can’t they admit that? Admit it was a mistake to draft Nathan Peterman then a project QB the following year instead of Mahomes and then move on.

This. Somehow many fans seem to believe that running down other quarterbacks somehow makes our guy exponentially better.

it's been time to move on for a while.  it would be way more fun to have him on this team, but it's not longer an option, so move on.  i wonder if chicago fans have this much trouble with it.

As a Chicago expat with family and friends there, I can tell you definitively that they do, far more than bills fans. It’s the nature of the football fan beast. Telling people to get the fug over it constantly is equally annoying.

If you threw that cast on this team Tate would be playing with Beasley and Brown. The rest would be developmental guys. What they turned into and the players they were when they first got into the league are very different. Kudos to their work ethic and Seattle’s coaching staffs. Comparatively, Allen is throwing to a veteran Beasley and not fresh out of camp UDFA Beasley that caught 15 passes.

I’m not knocking Allen. He’s improved tremendously and no where near his ceiling. His play style and inexperience aren’t exactly great for improving the play of inexperienced receivers though. Some of that is on coaching though.... A lot of these other teams with scrambling QBs have WRs who settle in zones, work back to the QB, etc during a scramble. Ours don’t do that well, and that’s most likely due to coaching. The one guy who really seems to have that aspect figured out is Sweeney, and they stopped playing him (coaching).

    You clearly are undervaluing Baldwin
