I’m still a seven day subscriber (yea, I’m the one) .... there’s still some occasional in-depth reporting going on, though it’s become more sporadic. I used to stare at multiple screens all day at work, so actually reading newsprint was a treat for me .... this may be the beginning of the end for them getting my business, unless a digital only version is less costly, due to the entire print process going away. By all accounts I’ve heard, dude was a first class azzwhole, but I never had any interaction with him. He definitely had talent and energized the bills fan base when they desperately needed it, but opposing defenses caught on to his skill set rather quickly, so he was more of a flash in the pan type.

I think most people, whether famous or not, can come across very different depending on the situation. I had two interactions with Drew away from football and found him to be genuine. I also had a terrific conversation with Gregg Williams on the set of a PSA shoot, and Rex bought my buddies and I a beer, so like I said, opinions vary depending on the situation.

I just never understand the mindset that elite talent somehow isn’t required to be a true championship contender. It’s almost as if some Bills fans think we don’t deserve top tier talent and should somehow cobble together a roster with journeyman types and hope we get very lucky with entry level contracts

I guess it’s nice for him that he’ll be on a Super Bowl roster .... wondering if he’s planning another party where the ladies have to apply and submit medical records! He was a better soldier in Buffalo than I thought he’d be, and our one bonafide star for several years ... he hit the wall however - no shame in that, we all do sooner or later.

To be fair, he’s heaped praise upon the team this season when warranted. You just have to listen more frequently. He has some excellent guests and is often more interesting than the Simon/White program

As a Chicago expat with family and friends there, I can tell you definitively that they do, far more than bills fans. It’s the nature of the football fan beast. Telling people to get the fug over it constantly is equally annoying.
