  1. Part of the reason why TOs are correlated with wins is likely the resulting field position. We have struggled using that field position at times this year. I think it's a fair criticism.
  2. Thanks for the reply. Appreciate the reasoned take
  3. Merely expressing MY opinion that Peterman won't win a competition with TT next year that he might be starting because of injuries specifically to TT. Still do you disagree that there would be trade value with TT? We would definitely want to do explore a trade next season if we are drafting a QB high?
  4. Then would you support picking up his option and then trading him? Cause he would have soooo much value to other teams. BTW I also disagree that Peterman will be starting 2018 Week 1 because he earned it.
  5. This is what I saw too watching the GB game and doing the short cut of the Browns game. In the GB game their offense didnt score a TD for almost the last 3 quarters of the game. The Browns are comically and tragically bad (tears of laughter and despair).
  6. Was Milano supposed to be on the field during that 4th and 1 (heard it was an LB we were missing)? If so thats pretty bad too.
  7. Was there someone off the screen that were missing? Hyde? I see the 4-3 look with two corners and Poyer walking down. We were playing a safety really deep all game. All 22 (or maybe 21) should show this.
  8. Buffalo rumblings has a post about White up (itself a good read) that shows an All 22 with Jerry dropping from last game. I suspect he's dropping to a zone if we're bringing pressure. Think Poyers two sacks or a double A gap blitz.
  9. On the TD someone said it was designed. First read holmes i believe, second run, third clay.
  10. Is it bad luck then that on the play before Tolbert couldn't just catch and walk in. Honestly both plays would be executed a high percentage of the time. Having both plays go sideways seems very flukey
  11. I thought he was required to make run/pass reads a clemson which explained his "slowness" off the ball. Can we put that to bed now? https://www.buffalorumblings.com/buffalo-bills-analysis-all-22/2016/5/15/11673640/shaq-lawson-pass-rushing-reads-scouting-nfl-pass-rushers
  12. Agreed on the OP listening to poster about the reads. I think Clay can make that catch. Any thoughts on going back to Zay on that read? I didn't notice until today but hes coming across the back of the EZ open at the start of the throw. I am with poster above at 35/65 Taylor Clay. Sorta just a crappy play. Hopefully its cleaned up for this weekend.
  13. Close. If you're gonna tank I would do it the last year with a HC (i.e. someone you intend to let go) like the jets have done twice now (rex and bowles). First time they had a much better season after the tank.
  14. I'm confused how we could simultaneously resign Taylor and then be looking to undercut him? I get there was stuff in between like TC but still seems odd to just assume they won't resign him with out a snap being played.
  15. Didn't get a chance to watch the game, but I didnt hear much on the safeties besides the close PI call. Sounds like they had a good game? Are we maybe not doomed (we certainly are anyway)? Any one have specific comments.
  16. I also agree their coverage is very good. Listened to the podcast yesterday as well.
  17. Still lots of questions out there for me as well. I think the answers may be there for all of them. I think the least resolved is the safety position, but overall I feel pretty good about the work that'll be done in the trenches.
  18. This is how I've been evaluating QBs lately too. If I remember its the 3rd down % (maybe YPA after last year) that needs to improve for TT while maintaining above average performance in the other areas.
  19. Thanks for all your replies to this topic!!! I also think the LB crew has a lot of question marks. I am hopeful that Ragland can play but am a bit concerned about the comments on his current weight. I started this thread cause I thought safety, particularly Poyer, was a bigger question. I am hopeful that he can play safety in a zone but theres just not a lot of proof. I think safety is still my biggest question on the team.
  20. The one where you catch the ball on a pass route.
  21. I believe he thinks you should only do 1 year deals if you're a "contender." Practically these are common for all teams.
  22. My understanding was MG was a castoff too. Maybe just calm down everyone and see if the coaches think the kid can play?
  23. Thanks bandit. The articles were a bit helpful but they were pretty sour on him (maybe for a good reason). The biggest mistake I've seen from him is that Pitta play where he lunged for no reason after the ball and ended up giving up a lot more yards. Other than that though I havent seen a load of terrible plays (the other two plays mentioned in the Ravens write up seemed to be over the top safety problems to me). I'll keep digging and see what I can find. Thanks.
  24. So everyone keeps ragging on Poyer on here. So I went looking for tape on him, but I can't seem to find any recent tape on him. I looked at two highlight videos of Browns v Raiders and Browns v Pats last year. He was nowhere to be seen which I took as a not bad thing (god the Browns are bad at tackling and covering). Is there any recent tape people could show of him (I looked at college tape but that was an eternity ago)? Could cover1 do a little segment on him. Bandit, Bloke I think you commented before, but can you remind me if the kid is any good. I mean hes gonna be our starting safety...
  25. So I can understand that (I'm on the fence about the extension but lean towards its ok). But my gripe is with the phrase Tyrod got the last staff fired. What you said is not Tyrod go the last staff fired. Rex got himself fired. Full stop.
