  1. The cover1 guys turned me on to him. Yeah his Purdue tape was good.
  2. I recommend watching a full game of his or two on youtube (search "nkeal harry vs") he particularly plays big against utah. Its not just the highlights. Hes working every play, and he brings some of his biggest plays when his team needs it in the 4th quarter. He really popped off the screen to me relative to other WRs. Heres Oregon. This was probably the game he struggled the most but if he makes two catches that he drops he has a really good game and ASU might win. Either way I think Oregon was super keyed in on him after he scorched them in 2017. This is Utah which he was huge
  3. Agreed. I just saw some wild numbers being thrown around in the thread. Wanted to pump the brakes a bit. As I said I think they can maneuver. Also thanks for putting this together.
  4. Agreed we can maneuver. But based on the available cap and the front loaded contracts we've given; do you see us giving out more than one big contract?
  5. Can we double check the maths? 45 mil -10 for rooks - 10 carry into the season - 7 for Ty - 2 for Gore - 4 for feliciano - 2 for roberts. Thats 7 left for a contract. Without cuts to Ivory and Ducasse. I think enough to get one big contract done but not much more. The cover 1 guys think its a DL or DE. I think they are right.
  6. If it happens I think they would be ok with it. But based on their activity they are certainly not looking to get him
  7. Thats without cutting players that are sorta expendable at this point (Ducasse, Ivory, DiMarco).
  8. Those were 1st down per target numbers, but glad we got the same results. I think this is your difference between the two.
  9. But Zay didnt play slot. McKenzie did. We can project Zay to slot all we want but he didnt play there. I would like to see number of first downs for each. Looked it up again. 39 for Cole and 33 for Zay. 1st down/rec is nearly the same (60% to 59%), but 1st down/target is not close (46% to 32%). The last one is why the signing.
  10. Yup i got the same numbers. More targets means more receptions. I think this explains the yards difference. Cole with his catch % would have ~100 yards more than Zay if he was targeted that much. I pointed to Zeke for the TD difference.
  11. How do their targets compare? I looked it up. 15 less targets for Cole (that more than explains the difference in yards, w/ same targets he would probably be ~100 yards more than Zay!). He had a slightly lower Y/R but much higher catch %. The TD's make sense considering Zay is working on the outside and Dallas probably just fed Zeke in the Red zone.
  12. Interesting. Doable but cap would be interesting. Based off numbers I gave I think they would have to back load some. Who would you give the longer contract to? I think the WR are the best bet but still might be hard to get both
  13. My favorite part of those videos posted up thread was how he would peel off on screens to demolish chasers. He definitely looks for work. Even the freak play that caused a concussion was him reengaging a rusher from what I could tell.
  14. I think Krofts is actually less of a dead cap next year (that’s who we’re talking about right?). Also I like how the Morse contract is structured. He’s making 8 mill per in years 3 and 4. If he performs that is cheap.
  15. No problem wanted to get some numbers in the thread and as I said we could get them if we absolutely had to have them.
  16. I don’t disagree that we can manage the cap to sign those players but Morse’s is 19 mill this year. I have 19 + 7 (Kraft) + 2 (Gore) + Johnson (didn’t see the #s) - 4 * min contracts = 26 mil +. Again we can do things to manage to get the listed players but one thing I wouldn’t do is mortgage the future after doing such a good job front loading contracts.
  17. I don’t see the concern with RB and CB. Gore is better than ivory so we upgraded. Johnson will push Wallace for starter and will be back up if there are injuries. The contracts look fine and don’t stop us from going after some other prizes (now and the next year). That you wouldn’t have bothered is the problem. You would’ve been happy with our current rbs and cbs? These are solid moves that will probably look good in hindsight rather than in the moment. I don’t start many threads but I did love the Poyer signing.
  18. I was combining the posts sorry. You said ACC mediocre and then pointed to an article from this year. I was trying to say that article was not relevant to your point that you think he played in a mediocre conference. He played his senior year in 2014 when FSU was coming off its title and Clemson was ascending. I think that it was likely the second best conference at that time. Certainly more than mediocre. Also hus junior year he lead the ACC in pass deflections. I couldn’t find targets anywhere but I wouldn’t be surprised if people stopped targeting him, assuming the other wake DBs we’re not good.
  19. Not really relevant. Johnson played 2010-2014. ACC was performing at a much higher level at that time. (Also HA! that ACC is worse than PAC-12)
  20. Did you just call the ACC a mediocre conference? Its not the SEC but they are likely the second best conference in football. Also college can be weird. You might not have stats because no one targeted your match up (cause you had them covered).
  21. I think Harry's more of a deep threat than people realize. DB's played off him a lot which is why he got a lot of underneath stuff. The reason they backed off is cause he could beat you over the top. At times his tape shows him struggling a bit with press coverage, but if he gets behind you its over. He was really good when he got a step on player.
  22. I’m so high on this guy right now. From the draft breakdown videos no one else really did anything for them. I think he drew double coverage all the time. Still made circus catches and huge runs in big situations. Getting physical at the line of scrimmage maybe his biggest weakness but he still show an ability to beat it. He’s a serious home run threat too. To another poster he didn’t get behind players as much in 2018 because it looked like he faced more off and over the top coverage after showing his deep ability in 2017.
  23. Felt like it was the QB from the tape I watched. His body control was really outstanding too. That’s not something the combine can really measure well. I am pretty high on Harry looks like he can do it all.
  24. I loved his tape. He created some plays out of nothing at some big times. The Oregon game was rough at times. Think he had 2 catches he should make go through his arms. But ASU could literally not get him the ball enough (lots of balls skipped to him). Depending on FA I would be very happy with him in the 2nd
