Just dropping by to say we only have 6 OL on the roster even. This include Jordan Devey, Ryan Bates, and Trey Adams. We have a huge need on the OL. Put me in the camp of resign Williams and draft 2 OL this year (1 Tackle 1 iOL) along with a tender for Ike. Numbers from https://overthecap.com/calculator/buffalo-bills/

can someone explain the disadvantage for the player from Field yates? I wouldve thought the conversion becomes dead cap spread across the years. So yes the cap number is higher but the dead cap number is higher too. higher dead cap is a positive for the player with regards to him staying on the team (see Mario Addison).

How can the bills afford Diggs and Allen
YattaOkasan replied to dbfla10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stefon has little leverage if he doesnt play under his current contract (I believe he doesnt vest if he doesnt play), and we have him for 3 more years. This really isnt a conversation cause that trade was sneaky good because Diggs' contract was very reasonable. -
Failure to adjust to playoff officiating
YattaOkasan replied to Captain Caveman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Then they should offset it with the facemask Kelce was grabbing on the stem of that route. All of their holding was much worse. This did not lose us the game but was very frustrating. I will also say Chris Jones threw a punch. That should be reviewable. -
I made it to the End! Couple thoughts. I drink in all the media. We havent been in the championship before so I'm gonna listen to it all. Melody and Andrew Perna are great watches all the time (Washington Potatoes was the best way to deal with that franchise). I also very much like the Cover 1 guys as they are very insightful and measured. Most of the main media has been super up and down but Orlovsky, Hasselback, and Mina Kines have all been very excited about the Bills (along with GMFB). Simms is an interesting case. I think he tries to correct for how much he loves Josh. I was shocked when he had Josh as 18th best QB to start the season. Hes picked against us a fair bit too and I think its an over correction because he doesnt wanna be biased. In many ways this is a great weekend for Simms. He was high on Mahomes before most, obviously we know he loves our boy blue (probably his best theme song), and Rogers is his GOAT. Lastly he isnt as high on Brady cause of the cheating. He will be very happy when we win. For the game, I am so excited cause we def left a lot of meat on the bone in the last game. Very even matched offenses (more than the media thinks), and I think we have an edge on Defense (though they might have 3 of the top 4 players). Its been a great year and I'm excited to see it continue after Sunday night. Heres some more of Simms; I do think he likes Josh a ton (I disagree though on our defense cause i am pretty confident its better than theirs)

Couple thoughts. See some talk about the Ravens only putting 20 up on Titans, but their D really held a good offense down. Thats what scares me the most. Whether its Titans play calling or OL worse at pass pro than run block or Ravens are that good I dont know, but thats what worries me the most. I am hopeful with the way we have been tested and responded all season (last week is a great example of a team that wont back down if things do go their way at all). On Simms and Florio, I like them picking against us. I think we have done well in those situations, and i saw rodney harrison (Dungy also eye rolled) correct Florio's line of "the Bills have to be second guessing themselves." Both teams got a big weight of their shoulders and will be playing loose. So excited for this game.

Edmunds, Milano, and Zo w/ 4 lineman would just be a 4-3 base? Take one of them off (or a DL and have Zo in a 3 point stance) and replace with a big safety (marlowe or neal), thats Big Nickel. I thought you said 3-4 was big nickel. I think I am confused on what TD you are referring to. I remember the long one to a TE last year in the Ravens game as being Poyer peeking at the QB. The one to Doyle Saturday was Tre White missing an assignment, but again I'm not sure which one youre talking about now.

I wouldnt call that a Buffalo Nickel but I agree it would be effective against LJ. Buffalo Nickel is usally subbing a LB for a Big Safety in the front 7 (reg nickel is Taron Johnson at CB). I think the TE TD was Poyer peeking in the back field and then getting just a bit mixed up as the routes crossed on the release. It was just that little bit that caused him to be a step behind. I agree Zo and Star will be missed. I think Epenesa can replace what Murphy did.

[Misleading Title] Antonio W. Harkens FredEX

I would also like to see him block in the passing game as thats a critical need for our RBs that I know Moss and Singeltary have done well at. -
Week 16: Bills at Pats on MNF
YattaOkasan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The other Minshew thread got me thinking about if we needed Fromm this year. Any thoughts on if it would be smart to give him the second team reps this week and let Barkley be the Covid Back up -
How do we keep Daboll around?
YattaOkasan replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
above is really our best shot to retaining him. Being an NFL HC is the pinnacle of your profession and the folks at that level think they are good enough to turn around any situation (see Dabs previous OC gigs to see he has confidence to try and turn around some rough spots). So imo he will def accept any position that he is offered. So be in the super bowl which should also make one other good coordinators available. Then hope someone goes after retread like BO’B or Gase. -
Perna is a good watch. He is enjoying the heckling of Tompa bay this year (so a lot of good NFL content not just Denver). I got hooked last offseason with his "are you a moderately priced free agent we will sign you" bit.

Prioritize which upcoming UFA’s to re-sign
YattaOkasan replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really hope not that would really hurt our cap situation. Really tough that he opted out. Also on the $5 mil for rookies, I disagree (not sure who said this). It looks like $5 mil cause thats the sum of their contracts, but with the rule of 51 its much less than that (like 2 mil). -

This is sorta where we will be in a couple years though when Josh gets extended. You need your picks to provide value at the bottom of roster as depth. -

What? Hes under contract til 2023 and we moved up some money for him so I dont think hes gonna make that type of noise at all. I think we can sign all three (see Gregg Tompsett's breakdowns, he nailed the Tre and Dawkins contracts, on multiple pod casts) but if told to prioritize Milano (Critical to defense would make it incentive laden) Williams (Tackles is the most important position of the 3) Feliciano (Guards are the least valued position, though I love him). -
I feel like we should get some credit for the fact that we were in scoring position at the end of the game. So if you give us those 3 points thats ~ a TD more than the steelers allow on average (all this with us not doing much in the first half). If you look at it that way its a pretty different performance. Its harder than you make it seem. Since the last 3 of these are not on the roster you could only elevate 2 from the PS and would need to cut someone to make room for the last person. I agree use Fromm and as many as you can elevate, and maybe some become close contacts so we can elevate more including Dane Jackson? EDIT: all the ragging on the Bills O on that board caused me to look at our team offense stats. 20 is the fewest 1st downs we've had in a game. Thats crazy to me. This team matriculates the ball down field (3rd in total first downs).

Could we just decorate the fence to show what this season has meant. Seems a bit like HS but could look good if you cover a large enough section.

We can still sign all 3 with some restructuring. I’m not that concerned about being able to resign all 3 because of this year’s contracts. Wallace is opposite Tre. He’s gonna get picked on and was right there on a lot of plays last week. Maybe that bogus PI had him playing a step slower. Either way I think communication is big for this defense and I suspect this is why they can’t quite roll with Dane Jackson. Although I’m very excited about him next year competing for CB2.
