  1. Final thoughts on TE2. I’m happy to upgrade any position. They tried this season but kept Sweeney over hollister. I think $$ plays into it. Sweeney is still on his rookie deal. I think he stays around this year. By definition an average TE2 is not a borderline starter. That would be an above average TE2. If that’s what you want then fine but you’ll probably pay or draft for it. I agree blocking is a problem overall but I would like to spend resources on OL to resolves those problems. If you tell me we find a replacement for Sweeney on day 3 or as UDFA? Cool. If you tell me we sign someone for north of a million AAV then I’m fine with Sweeney.
  2. Sure but those seem like OL problems. Why not go get OL fixed rather than try to pay a TE2? I think Sweeney is growing into an average TE2 and will bounce around for a while.
  3. Plenty of teams only have one TE. Who is KCs TE2? tenn TE2? Ariz TE2? Dal TE2? So many good teams don’t invest there. What are you gonna pay this TE2? I don’t want to pay more than vet minimum and for vet min you’re getting a Sweeney type player. Poyer is playing at an all pro level this year. You better throw some respect on his name.
  4. He seems fine as a receiver. He’s got two drops in his career for a 7-8% rate. Not great not terrible. QB rating throwing to him is like 80 so not our best obviously. No data on his blocking on pro football reference, but I can’t recall anything too terrible (I’m sure he’s had some issues along with the rest of our OL). I wouldn’t expect him to come back after next year for more than vet minimum but I think that says more about where we are as a team than his performance.
  5. I’ll give you swing tackle but what do you expect out of TE2 for a team with as many WR weapons we have.
  6. My fantasy team is rooting for a good Chubb game. But my bills homer is rooting for that not being enough to keep up with LV.
  7. Not mentioned was his misplay on the kickoff against WFT. I think he’s let it hit the ground on punts more than he should too. Happy to see him in the offense more
  8. Lamar for sure.
  9. Whatever you classify diggs as. That was a good move. Would also say the Williams UFA contract last year was great. No disagreement on Butler. I was wanting literally anything for him this off-season. Fine with Morse and Klein is a slight overpay, but that happens in the UFA market a lot. Star has been fine this year but that contract is still beanes biggest mistake.
  10. Honestly think he was gassed. I think being gassed from giving everything was why OT went the way it did on both sides of the ball. for Gene and groin, if we can’t expect consistent officiating then you can’t really do much of anything. Having rules and having them applied consistently is fundamental to life (let alone football). Y’all both earned your ignores.
  11. this picture says it all That’s a terrible no call above that if they do call we almost certainly win.
  12. Agree. I wouldn’t use him this game. I like the rest of the board like what Breida has shown over moss.
  13. I agree but moss probably had his best game as a pro against the pats (1st game) last year
  14. Disagree with the OP. We need 12 and 21 personnel. Get diggs isolated so they have to either commit to stopping him or the run. I also expect Allen to be a big part of the running game. Fun things I found last night on pro football reference, we have the highest number of play action pass attempts and we are pretty efficient (> 10 YPA). Josh under center with lots of Sweeney and Gilliam makes us our most versatile. defense I think has been mentioned but press coverage probably cover 1 robber to put an extra guy in the box for the run. Also would expect a good bit of cover 3 to again put another player in the box.
  15. All pro Po. Will be a snub if he doesn’t get that recognition.
  16. You should see Singeltarys RAS then.
  17. The initial hit is fine. And he does hold him up some. But at the end he drives shoulder. Can’t do that. that’s the textbook part.
  18. There was a super bogus holding call on Morse on the play before the one you reference. That went for a first down if not for the phantom hold. The roughing was also pretty text book landing on the QB with your whole weight. That was not a terrible call in our favor at all.
  19. Not in the run game but they use their backs in the pass game. Klein trying to cover either of their RBs scares me.
  20. I would also say there is a big difference at WR. but agree with your points and would add tackling (a McD problem) to the disciplined part.
  21. Are you saying that headlines can derail the season? I agree this is an important game, but most important is getting to the playoffs healthy and playing well. Additionally, if we take care of the business with the Pats (they didnt look too scary last night) we will be fine.
  22. Yes we need help to get the 1 seed but I dont think it would be very shocking if it happens. Probably the most shocking thing is we would need to win out. With that said, I don't know why anyone would root for the Pats to beat the Titans. Winning the division is the priority always.
  23. My concern with Klein is in the passing game. Taylor is fast and Hines is super fast. They have >50 catches combined. Klein could struggle in that way. Would really like Maine back.
  24. Was thinking of a thread like this last night. Some crazy things about this defense. We have more than double the number of int (15) than we do TDs through the air (6); 58% completion percent overall!; I dont think Tre White has given up a TD; Jordan poyer has given up like 20 yards of YAC all season. I am honestly surprised we are allowing an average of more than 200 ypg through the air. I think we are probably not appreciating the play of this defense.
