  1. I agree with your sentiment, certain in the very near future. But, this year, I still like our QB advantage, especially when compared to some of the other teams we’re likely to see instead.
  2. I’d love to see that again in a crucial situation in a playoff game … with a snap after the film’s out there and the defense rocking BACK on their heals.
  3. Careful what you ask for. I, too, am wearing my lucky tee shirt .. braless - and I was at the last game at the Rockpile.
  4. I was there with my grandmother and grand aunt! Interesting links in the OP. Bills were 13 point underdogs and fumbled 5 times, losing 3. Detroit had no turnovers.
  5. Something, something, Florida and hanging chads.
  6. I believe the two of you are exploring the difference between “not necessarily” and “most probably.”
  7. I”m not sure “should be someone else” is the best first instinct when someone’s honored, regardless of the merit of others. Could be lots of folk … it’s Dawkins. Here’s to Dion.
  8. I have been offered promotions I’ve turned down. As Clint said, “A man’s got to know his limitations.” I don’t think being OC prepares one for being HC. Being an OC can inform someone who has an HC aptitude but it doesn’t provide the aptitude. OCs are artists. HCs are decorators. Chefs and restaurant managers. DJs and event planners, etc.

  10. If they play .500 ball and we go undefeated, we can catch them in 51 years.
  11. … and lean forward with a kissee face, puckered with eyes closed. Benissimo, mio amico Italiano!
  12. I remember introducing his parents to one another …
  13. I mixed one part liquid bleach with two parts water in order to make a cleaning fluid yesterday. I, too, am adulterating.
  14. I think the post was reasoned and modest. I am missing the exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.
  15. When a question and answer session begins with “hope you can hear me, I’m out doing my Christmas shopping”, you can immediately lower your expectations for insight. How many times do we hear questions start and then transform to 40 to 50 word meanderings that are 1/3 follow up and 1/3 lists of possible answers to the original near question? “Hey, coach, thanks for taking my question. I notice you don’t run as much in the first half as you do in the second half and is that because you feel the need to get Diggs engaged because of his energy or are you worried about the loss of Edmunds and have a desire to keep the defense off the field especially with a lead or when playing from behind and how does Josh work that strategy into his preparation in light of his injury? Um, well, we prepare for everything and then, looking at the situation, pick the play we feel has the best probability of success. Ok, thank you.”
  16. I'm gonna go get the papers, get the papers.
  17. Kent Hull … and I loved the Electric Company.
  18. Season. And, no, before the silly questions arise, I’m not a physician. I don’t have to be. Watch the film, look at his expression.
  19. I think a patient Josh is likely, today. Those who know more than me have broken film down. What an interesting week. Disciplined routes and LA Ram style take what they give you … then pounce.
  20. Analytics agrees with you. Analytics takes score and the likely result of both decisions into consideration given time remaining. “Go for it” adds more than kick even with the high probability of a made FG. Analytics here said”hi for it” offered more points, even with success probabilities considered, than kick at that stage of the game. You take a 70% chance at 7 pts over a 99% chance at 3 pts until time remaining says you don’t. It would have been asinine to go for it with 3 seconds left and down by 2 pts. The problems were play selection and execution.
  21. I’m loyal to my guys. DNA. Von Miller was brought in “to close out games”. I’m now asking myself if we have the coaching staff “to close out games”.
  22. Become a one-human-being in a million, and you can! What’s stopping you?
  23. 1968. Richard Nixon was elected President of the United States, for a first term, just five days earlier.
  24. And now, thirteen inches joins thirteen seconds.
  25. They should send this coaching staff to the locker room when the two minute warnings are announced.
