  1. I am glad we found a way to introduce “the league manipulating” into this thread. The first dozen or so posts failed to address this. Phewww … I was afraid we were going to have a straightforward tactic vs. rule conversation. I’ll be back later. I have to remove the fillings from my teeth that the CIA is using to track my whereabouts.
  2. Kids can watch games from the Titanic’s ballroom.
  3. Change Eagles to Cowboys and I have the same story. New air fryer, Franks and Butter. A very light roll in olive oil and flower with salt and pepper, first. Before Sunday, i would’ve sneered at “air fryer.”
  4. No one will convince, or unconvinced, another, but … I saw OJ as far back as college. He played in my first Bills game at the Rockpile. He was the hero of my youth and among the greatest ever at RB. Thurman Thomas is the best running back the Buffalo Bills ever had.
  5. We are a 59 yard field goal in the rain away from being 3-0 agains the gauntlet we all pointed to when the schedule came out. I will be in Miami. I think it’s going to mean something. I think the Fin Fans are puckering up. THIS game was the mental and emotional “cushion” they built into the NFL’s last four weeks.
  6. What’s Phillips smoking?
  7. We gotta get cook out of there and feed Diggs! What are they thinking??
  8. LOL, Rapp saved him from Oliver.
  9. could get tossed for that …. what are they thinking?
  10. I hope we build a HUGE lead before Cook goes to the bench for three or four rotational series in the second half.
  11. All the Bills need is a #1, #2, #3 WR and two TEs who can catch the ball ….
  12. For the past seven months, I have using generative AI and a staff of interns. The assignment is to find a single sporting event in the history of mankind that doesn’t have judgement calls or plays that might have turned out differently. I want to see if this “gifting” is a rare event or part of the construct that applies to every game, every time. I am paying particular attention to teams that have great success in close games, looking for the “gifts” that led to the results. Forgive my statistical generalization, and recognize I’m not finished, but watching all players and every bounce on every play suggests “gifts” occur roughly 32,438 per game. I will ask my team to look into the two plays you reference and get back with the results.
  13. Be prepared for incoming from the aggrieved, offended and insulted crowd who find umbrage everywhere they look, real and imagined.
  14. Oh, for heaven’s sake, it is not. He’s not making light of the man, disrespecting him or at all contradicting the sadness of any loss.
  15. Manicotti from Mazzaro’s Italian Market, $8.99 a pound. Large screen TV, $2,800. L shaped sectional sofa, extended, $5,200. Patrick Mahomes losing his ****, priceless.
  16. Fourth and fifteen … JUST where they want us.
  17. LOL, OFFSIDE!
  18. If it’s rigged, the Bills are involved. No one manages the end of games like this group.
  19. Why are we throwing passes on first and second down?
  20. Well, this should stop the “refs are against us” narrative.
  21. I think Von Miller ended up in the end zone concession area after that pass rush.
  22. Lots of back and forth, here. Here’s what I’ll be watching. Motivation is something we talk about without a lot of precision. I think all players find motivation differently. Frankly, I think players are almost all motivated almost all of the time. They’re playing for themselves as well as the team. Teams are composite competitors with individual contracts, bonuses, recognition, free agency goals, etc. With that, we now have 53 players whose coach was just embarrassed league wide. Do they show up in KC knowing there’s blood in the water with a coach they’d like to move on from, or do they show up with the same coach and want to retain him? I’d love to see the Bills perform like “he’s our guy” and have something to prove.
  23. No. That’d be the stupidest, brand jeopardizing, wealth destroying, scheme imaginable. I’m leaving out the impossible to accomplish without exposure angle. “We have one of the most exclusive, century old, billion dollar industries on the planet that works just fine and keeps getting rmore lucrative. I know, let’s risk it by involving unsophisticated operatives like part time working-man officials and pro athletes, many of whom are recreational drug users.” For those that want to exclude league involvement and just bring in Vegas, amend my quote changing century to centuries.
  24. To the learned …. he does a hand punch or jab pre snap. Is he responding to signals being called? While I’ve not exactly charted anything, he doesn’t seem to be “calling” this guy or that as his man … I don’t see it elsewhere as regularly. Gratefulness in advance …
  25. Counterpoint … it’s his football stardom that makes it a story to begin with. The same thing happened in Dallas a dozen times on the same day and it’s not being discussed nationally. Relevant to the facts in the case, no. Relevant to “news”, yes. NFL stardom in the news context is relevant because of stardom’s link to celebrity, not prowess. We can await the facts, call this a bad event regardless of the facts, and condemn domestic violence all at the same time. IMHO. Prophylactics, before the replies: “Dozen” isn’t a crime statistic I have access to. I made it up. Further, the fact that domestic violence is not unusual doesn’t make it not terrible.
