  1. Or we can read the above and come to the conclusion that the poster is implying that Beane is fiscally responsible much like Pittsburgh and NE have been for the most part over the past decade and isnt going to recklessly give out big money deals that may have serious cap implications if the player isnt living up to the contract.
  2. Like I said Im hard rock/metal first and foremost and I generally despise boy bands and anything related to them but Timberlake is the real deal. Lady gaga as well. Shes got an incredible voice. Saw U2 at new era 9/5. Great show. Saw prince in the 80s at the aud. He was great also.
  3. "I was milkin my cow. Then I made love to a sow." Yee haw Wilbur. Pass me the moonshine and our sister when your done with her. In all seriousness Im sure George Strait is great. Just never was a country fan and its really fun and easy to poke fun at it. Metal and hard rock are my first love but I like most music. John 5 is an amazing guitar player who currently plays with Rob Zombie. I mention him because KD Lang hired him for one of her tours. Hes a big country fan and a very accomplished country guitar player in addition to totally shredding it as a rock guitar player.
  4. Does this mean Peterman gets to play soon? Its not how many points the offense scores or how many wins we get. Its how many yards he throws for. Dont forget that.
  5. Yea. We need George Strait. "Got sum luvin from my cousin. Now we got a bun in the oven". Now thats music. Inbreedin, beer, and tobaccy. Yee haw.
  6. ACDC would be mine. They get played in retail stores these days. Why not the SB.
  7. They won the game against a team they werent suppossed to beat. Who gives a crap about the yardage. Ill take 13 more wins like that
  8. This has to be a contender for stupidest thread ever.
  9. My impression of Marcell is that hes a lazy tub of crap who took the bills for a ride and doesnt feel the least bit obligated to give the bills anything back. How come Lesean Mccoy doesnt need to be poked and prodded to make an effort. Or Kyle Williams. Or Jordan Matthews by all accounts. Lots of other guys on this team I could name who give it their best without having to be begged to do so. Dareus isnt one of them.
  10. We get it. OJs innocent. Manson was abused as a child. Jeffrey Damher had psychological issues.
  11. Just saw on 6 oclock sports that the falcons give up 4.8 yards per rush. Pound the rock. Control the clock. Keep Matt Ryan on the sidelines. Bills win by 9.
  12. Gotta keep the defense honest and keep pounding the rock. The only way theyre gonna get these new blocking schemes down is by continuing to work at it. I have a hard time complaining about the play calling when I expected them to lose by 20 and they won by ten. Not trying to bust your chops. Ive done plenty of complaining about this team myself but Im feeling some renewed enthusiasm after Sunday. That win was very much a coaching win and I think Mcdermott might just be on the verge of delivering a little more than we hoped for. Also Tyrods play should give this staff some confidence to open it up a bit and get teams out of those eight man fronts. Sunday in Atlanta will be a tight game. Not sure they can pull it out but it will be a game at the start of the 4th quarter. It took the k-gun four years to become the k-gun. I think these guys are still figuring out what works best and what doesnt.
  13. I dont even remember Thad Lewis. Last 17 years have become a blur.
  14. Points are what matters. Pretty solid in the yards column though.
  15. Usually a team loses in this league because the losing team makes mistakes that contribute to the winners victory. Last game I remember where each team played pretty much flawlessly was the Bills 49ers no punt game in 92.The Bills just outlasted the 49ers in that one. Normally someone gets smoked by the refs or turnovers or missed passes. The Bills played a very technically sound game Sunday. Thats why they BEAT the Broncos.
  16. Yep. Ive been hard on this team. Primarily because they have failed time and time and time again to win these exact type of games. Playing a relatively clean game and letting your opponent beat themselves is nothing to apologize for.
  17. In light of Shaws Belichick comparison and your Patriot comparison Im gonna take this a step further and say that this Bills team is alot like a Bill Parcells coached team. Nothing flashy offensively. Big plays when needed but more importantly a superior job protecting the football and as Parcells once said "having players who do the right thing most of the time". Coupled with great defense. Thats who Mcdermott reminds me of. Maybe a kinder gentler version of one of my all time favorite coaches( Marv not even in the same category. Sorry but thats the truth.) But still that win on Sunday was reminicent in many regards to those 80s and 90s Parcells coached teams. Play smart. Let the opponent beat themselves. They beat Atlanta, Ill be convinced theyve got something special going on.
  18. Since your Isolating your comparison to three games Ill go by what matters most. Wins. Tyrod has a .666 winning percentage which projects to a 10-11 win season. If we do that theres a good chance we make the post season. Thats all I care about. One thing the anti-tyrod crowd never talks about is how well he protects the ball. Ill take 200 yards passing, 2 tds, and zero turnovers over a 400 yard passing game with three picks all day long. If this offense can consistently put up 20-30 points a week with the defense playing the way it is we should win alot of games. If they win ten plus games and he keeps playing the way he did against Denver he could get extended. Why not?
  19. I think the evidence is growing that Mcdermott is laying the proper foundation for building a championship caliber team. It starts with playing smart disciplined football. As Bill Parcells once said "I want players who do the right thing most of the time". In other words he doesnt want a qb who throws 3 picks on his way to a 400 yard day. Or a running back who fumbles twice in the redzone while rushing for 150 yards. Yesterday was a prime example of that. Nothing flashy in that win. Just sound football. Let the other team make the mistakes and walk away with a 'W'. That to me is one of the most critical differences between winners and losers. Not beating yourself. With a few upgrades in the talent dept they can be a consistent playoff team. Through three games this team hasnt made an overwhelming number of mistakes. Thats a good sign.
  20. Gonna take a total team effort against the Falcons. On the road. Need an error free game. Gotta keep it close and try to steal it at the end. Been doin bong hits of koolaid all day after that Denver win so Ill say 27-26 Bills. Why not? Need Dareus to show up and be the game changer we all know he can be.
  21. I think the Bills have some very good players. Castoffs and journeymen is a bit harsh. Just how good has yet to be seen. Beating Atlanta is another step in the right direction.
  22. This was a great win against a solid team. Im not gonna diminish it. You can point to five or six moments that swing most games. The Jets win was irrelevant. We were a nine point favorite. One of the most meaningless wins I can remember. This was totally different. We were underdogs. We looked totally mismatched against their defense yet we got the job done. Hopefully this year is different and this team uses this win as a springboard. Gift from Denver. Nope. Im having none of that. We kicked their a$$. Period. Exclamation point.
  23. Clearly hell go 50-50 for 700 yards and 8 tds. Gotta get him to put down the ribs first!
  24. Opponents must not be leaving their gameplans in the trash anymore.
