No. You really dont know that. They beat Atlanta and Denver with Tyrod. They were 7th in scoring last year after 15 weeks with Tyrod. They have a much better chance IMO with Tyrod today than they do with a rookie 5th round qb who has zero starts under his belt. Ill listen to the Peterman argument next year. Id even listen to it if we lose the next four. But not yet. Were tied for first at the moment. Taylor had something to do with that. Our lack of weapons in the passing game are a bigger problem than he is. Again. Tyrods probably not the long term answer but hes our best option at the moment.

I knew this was coming. To be clear I do not see Tyrod as the long term answer and I fully expect the Bills to draft a qb next year. Dont miscontrue my lack of enthusiasm for Peterman as some sort of endorsement of Tyrod. I just dont see any justification to bench Taylor in light of Petermans very substandard numbers in preseason. The guy was a fifth round pick for a reason and did nothing to demonstrate that hes any better than that. Some think we cant do any worse than Tyrod. I think you could do alot worse. We were 3-1 going into yesterday. Not 0-4. You put Peterman in your likely going backwards not forward. Im not ready to pull the plug on the season when we are tied at the top of what looks like a winable division at the moment. Especially for a guy who hit 54 % of his passes in preseason for less than 6 yards per attempt.

Id say its pretty obvious based on Petermans 54.4 completion percentage, 5.7 yards per attempt, and 75.6 qb rating in preseason. His one touchdown pass was also very impressive.

Its reverserex. If it aint broke, break it. I like alot of what Mcdermott brings to the table but I just dont get why we needed to change the damn offense. Yes Tyrod is limited but there was zero need to change the run blocking scheme. Ruining the running game doesnt help your limited qb.

Mcdermott is trying to establish a ceryain level of expectation. Production is secondary. Doing your best is more important. Mcdermott doesnt care about productivity as much as he cares about guys maximizing their potential. A philosophy I happen to agree with. Its why Watkins is gone who interestingly enough did nothing this weekend. As Bill Parcells once said. I want guys who will do the right thing MOST of time. Translation I dont want a guy whose gonna run for 200 yards and fumble it four times on the goal line.
