Ya for sure. People spend so much time fighting over high/low taxes that they forget to demand efficient spending from their government. It does seem like everyone in Portland moved there from somewhere else. It's super easy to meet people there from just about any part of the country (though I don't see you can say they work for the State). So after further reading it looks like it's 125k for single and 250k for family income. And then there is a minimum taxes for Corps raised from $10 to $150/yr. Also some fees and such added on to money flow in attempts to circumvent loopholes. Yeah this does not look like the the happiest tax increase ever, but also it looks like Oregon was in a really tight spot money wise and would have had to cut a lot of programs if they didn't do this. So... taxes will get a bit worse for you guys. But ... I mean then again, I don't think it compares to NY still.

Isn't this the thing where they raised taxes on people making over 250k per year, raising taxes for corporations and the wealthy to pre-Nixon numbers? Probably will be a nice boost for small business. If you are losing your job, go start your own business
