albright knox delaware park We have a zoo, that is slowly dying elmwood & chippewa the "Gin Mills" or just the fact that we call them that strange things like the buffalo colored musicians club our old buildings, Buffalo Central Terminal, Grain Mills, and countless other historical sites. the food the people the polish/irish/italian history of some of the neighborhoods that sign on military that say "acme nipple co." all these things i like about buffalo and would be overshadowed by a casino.

Its about PRIDE not money. I know most people here have lived in Buffalo at one point in their lives. When you leave Buffalo, you suddenly feel that hometown pride. You even find your self bragging about things from Buffalo (where?). Nobody ever cares about a city with a casino. Who brags about being from Las Vegas, or Detroit. You ever been to downtown Detroit? the sight of Detroits pitiful state might be enough to change your mind. There is just something about having a casino in your city which just causes you to stop caring about it. Sure money will come in. Thats about it though. Everything else will just be wiped aways by the lights and skyline of the casino. This might be Masiello's final ax to the chopping block he calls Buffalo before he steps down. Greedy bastard that he is.

Personally I don't mind the gas hike. I don't drive my car much anyways. It's my opinion though that everyone who is stupid enough to buy an SUV or Hummer is now getting what they deserve.
