  1. Davis. Reasoning: He provides a 2nd WR weapon, and with Watkins injury history, is a no-brainer. If Watkins goes down again, without another top WR, we're toast If we really want to find out if Tyrod is the QB moving forward, we have to give him the weapons to work with He's faster than Mike WIlliams, as big and has the all-time WR yards record in NCAA. You can tell me that's because he's from a small school, but so was Moss and he saw a lot of doubles being the teams only weapon The teams other major need (secondary) has really deep talent in this draft, You can get a 1st rid CB or Safety in rd 2 and a 2nd rd talent in Rd 3 RT is also a need, but you don't take one at pick #10 I could be talked into Howard, though his college stats and lack of "love for football" worry me, and I certainly could be talked into a trade down
  2. It's. It a big jump from 12 to 10 for CLE BUT they may do it if they're worried BUF will trade #10 to someone who wants to jump CLE. PIT jumped ahead of us a few years back and stole Rothlisberger from us
  3. For 1-10, I'd ask for 1-12, Cleveland's 4th round pick (1st pick in 4th) and to switch 2nd round picks (33 for 43). Having that first pick in Rd 2 could be huge.
  4. Mahomes please, no upside to this guy. He only hit on 60% of his passes last year, doesn't translate well to th NFL. You draft a QB with huge upside Mormons that's safe but with no chance of being a franchise qb
  5. The CB you can get in Rd 2 is close to the one you'd get at 1-10. Wr or safety at 1-10
  6. Salary cap is not a factor. We have plenty of room, and if need be can always restructure someone like Wood
  7. Like the idea of a trade down, but, there's no way you get that many high picks back from a move down of 2 slots with Cleveland. You'd probably get a 3rd, which I'm okay with. You also wouldn't get those 3 pics by moving Down 5 spots to 17. You'd probably get a 2nd or a 3rd and a 5th, again I'm okay with. I think a trade down from 10 will be available, if they don't fall in love with someone at 10??
  8. He has the Alabama Tackle as interior (#2 rated), which I don't agree with. He can play tackle in the NFL.
  9. A slight trade down in the first will get you more than a 4th. A slight trade up in the 2nd, last year, cost us a 4th. You don't trade down in the 1st, and risk losing the player you want most, for a 4th
  10. Yeah - thinking if Adams, Hooker or Foster fall to 1-10, you take him. Otherwise you looking trade down with Davis as a fallback option if you can't trade
  11. Mahomes is my #1 rated QB. He will probably be there at #10 and if he is, he'll definitely be there at #11. There is not a round one qb talent this year.
  12. Where as this lack of passion come from? Haven't seen this anywhere??
  13. Didn't know Ragland was down that much weight, where have you read that? Valid argument about Howard plus there was that article that buffalo coveted him (smoke screen or not). Problem I have with Howard is when I watch him I see that TE that Detroit drafted in Rd one a few years back. Can't remember his name. He turned out good but not worth a first
  14. I would be okay with Howard in the first, secondary (or a QB, if one falls) in the second and a WR in the third. My concerns: Is Howard a workout warrior, given his mediocre stats or is it a product of Alabama's system? What makes us think tyrod would be able to utilize him, considering his lack of targets to Clay?
  15. Which ones other than CB? Safety is important in this scheme as is the front 7 I do agree about Foster. Unfortunately we wasted a 2nd last year and a 4th this year on Ragland, a guy who isn't good in the 4-3 scheme
  16. With the zone defensive scheme, I don't think you need to draft a CB in the first round. Really wish we would have signed shead from Seattle. Using a 1st rounder to replace a guy you lost in FA is backwards thinking
  17. Pepper at #10 is ridiculous. Honestly, he has a better chance at being our 2nd round pick than our first. A lot of guys here, but all of these make sense at #10 to varying degrees: Davis, foster, Howard, Hooker, Adams, lattimore Run to the podium and draft at #10: Hooker, adams Fair value at #10: Davis, foster, Howard, lattimore. The #10 pick will have a lot of teams interested. I don't know which teams have multiple firsts or a first and an early 2nd, but my dream scenario would be to trade #10, for a first and an early 2nd and get: First: Davis, foster, Howard, lattimore, Williams or someone similar Early 2nd: Mahomes Our 2nd: Budda Baker or similar One can dream.... Btw, this thread is very good. A lot of knowledge, good rationale and justified arguments. Refreshing
  18. Cam Robinson has bust written all over him. Not good in pass protection - stay away
  19. He's the #2 kicker in NFL history in fg%. Think of that for a second. He's a top 2 or 3 kicker in kickoffs. Extra points were blocked not missed, which I think is better than the reverse. Kicks were a bit low, but trajectory is easier to correct than having the extra point yips (carpenter)
  20. We are taking wr (Davis) at 1-10, if he's there. Who knows if Watkins will be healthy and all these other guys are #3s at best. Howard is also in the mix. CBs and safety's are so deep that we can get Rd 1 talent in Rd 2 and Rd 2 talent in Rd 3
  21. Will look even better when Davis is added to it
  22. No way 19 - we'll be drafting a wr at 1-10 or in the 2nd
  23. Drafting Davis is a no-brainer. I could be argued into Howard, but drafting a CB at 1-10 doesn't make a lot of sense given our zone scheme and the depth of the draft. Now,.If Adams drops to 10, or even Hooker....Honestly though, if we don't draft Davis, I hope we trade down
  24. With the Dre Holmes signing, if we could sign Zach and maybe a good RT and a CB, we'd be solid heading into the draft. 1-10. Davis 2nd. Best CB or safety 3rd. Best CB or safety or maybe a Few 5th. Kelly 5th. Lb 6th. Whatever
