  1. We'll probably draft a punter late too. We have a ton of picks.
  2. Yep - I'd rather pay a ton for Higgins (CIN) and use #30 and the 2 seconds on 3 d players: (1) DL, (1) CB, (1) S
  3. I don't like this at all as I think there will be be better lineman at #30. the (2) 2nd round picks I'm fine with but wasting picks (even if they're late picks) on non-need areas of P, RB, G and QB is a bit stupid. Take flyers on DL or WR there and see what hits. Is a RB really beating out any of our top 3? Is a guard making our team (Oline is stacked)? Same with QB and Punter. I do like the fact Beane has 10 picks to use or trade.
  4. I was begging for McConkey but people reasoned he was too close to what Shakir did for us. Fair argument but I still think there's plenty of room for 2 Shakir's. 2 points that need to be considered: 1. The chargers receivers were so depleted, would McConkey have gotten the same opportunity/stats with us. His stats at Georgia were veyr pedestrian. Know who also had average stats from Georgia - James Cook. 2. I had Coleman as a mid 2nd rounder and no problem with the choice other than desperately wanting McConkey and being deathly afraid of his 40 times. His 10 cone drill (quickness) and athleticism was near the top in the draft class. He was really coming on strong and I was thinking he could be a star before the cheap hit by Poyer (I think he had 185 yards in 2 games prior). As Beane stated, when he came back from the injury he wasn't the same player for some reason. Hopefully he heals up and takes 2 steps forward next year.
  5. So Ladd and Shakir couldn't have been on the field at the same time? Interesting. One interesting thing you brought up: Coleman 29 receptions, Ladd 84......
  6. which makes no sense. Epenesa played 3 times more and was not noticeable? Babich also played man twice as much as usual which made no sense and was a disaster. I get it there were injuries and a general lack of talent, but Babich should have a lot to answer to on his game calling Sunday. Also, on the season this was a bottom five defense on 3rd down and a bottom ten defense on yardage given up.
  7. At least by not playing much this year he was able to maintain an elaborated notebook. My guess is that some team thinks they can salvage him and we get a 6th for him??
  8. Isn't efficiency measured by TD'S scored when inside the 20? On KC's game winning FG drive they were on our 10 yard line and settled for a FG. Seems that makes them somethingless than 6 for 6??
  9. This is a bit of a lazy take. I thought he was one of the better defensive players on Sunday. Led the teams in tackles, wasn't picked on in coverage, and wasn't beaten in general and certainly not beaten deep. Hamlin and Elam were getting killed in coverage. Bernard had a sub par game and Rousseau had his worst game of the season against a back up tackle with 30" arms. Douglas, Oliver, D. Williams, Phillips and Bishop were the 5 that didn't suck. Maybe my bar is low??
  10. The thinking that the league "wanted" KC back in the Superbowl is absolute BS. There would have been no better/bigger story for them than Detroit vs Buffalo. KC is old news, and if anything, the league probably would have preferred they lose. Public is sick of KC. Now the refs sucked but unrelated
  11. Feeling a bit better. Sunday night I had trouble sleeping so it was a long work day Monday. We are Buffalonians so we take these things ridiculously hard, but, in the end it has nothing to do with us/our decision making. I think we are the better team and we have the better QB, but we don't have the better coaches nor the better front office and we executed somewhat poorly on Sunday. If Josh was given the protection that Mahomes got he would have put up 50 points. Cook getting only 16 touches is borderline insane - he should be on the field 80% of the time not 55%, including the last drive. Every other defense this year allowed less points to KC than Buffalo D did Sunday. KC played a lot of bad defenses this year. Not going to get into the refs as we should have won despite them. This is on the coaches and front office as much as or more than the players. Look at our draft picks in recent years compared to KC's. I'm at peace with myself, disappointed, but their constant failure vs KC is not on me
  12. Typically a stat indicative of success. Unfortunately, sometimes we can't outscore what the defense gives up
  13. Yeah I wish Josh wouldn't have dropped that heroic 4th down pass he threw. I'm starting to wonder if a good portion of this board even understands football.
  14. Hilarious
