  1. Putting 4 defensive ends- including a couple of bigger ones in on the pass rush is the coming wave that they Bills seem to be preparing for. 4 fast guys, trying to penetrate (with some option of a blitzing LB) means that with 5 OL (6 if the TE or FB blocks) means that there is usually 1 double team but 3(4?) 1 on 1 against a speed rusher.... and the OL has to worry about picking up a blitzing LB or safety. I THINK that we will see this next year as an answer to the "mobile" QB, who lives on the ability to do a little footwork and a 5 yard sprint to get away from a 300 pound DT who broke through. .... There is a new NFL approach coming and the Bills are ahead of the curve.
  2. Really? But not differently for different distance objects. I just have a Phd degree in physical chemistry and ran a DUV lithography lens study for photolithography. No degree in optics, but spent a lot of time with really weird and wonderful people who were world class experts in the field and picked theri brains. Please stop. End of replying to this.
  3. No. I have a bit of experience in optics. I would love to see some ray tracing that had high magnification for short distances, low magnification for middle distances and then high magnification for longer distances.
  4. Either Addison gets traded for a third round pick or Hughes gets traded for a late second round pick. This gets a second day draft pick and saves money to help pay Allen. We have to start shedding the older, expensive, stop gap defensive linemen AND also have to get playing time for the new wave. The fast rush package is Obada // Rousseau // Basham // (Hughes or Addison) ..... ..... Epanesa fills in at DE on ocassion but takes a rest. Johnson is the 6th defensive tackle. This gives us the following heights in the pass rush: 6' 6" // 6' 7" // 6' 4" // 6'2" or 6'3". We also have T.Edmunds at 6'5" as a linebacker.
  5. Photo shopped. Optics do not have different magnification for different distances. Let's not be clowns.
  6. Defensive end on pass rushing does not require a lot of training. "See the guy who gets the ball from the center? He said you mommy was fat!"
  7. Bates, Ford or Hart might be in play here. I could see a trade of any of them for a 4th round pick 2021
  8. Hmmm. Buffalo was one game away from the SB in 2020. ... .... .... By the way, if you score a lot of points quickly, then the other team gets the ball back a lot of times. It is in the rule book and shouldn't be ignored. AND you can then play defense in a manner that requires them to run a lot of plays and use a lot of time to score... and increase their chance of a turnover or two bad plays in a set of downs, which leads to them having to punt.
  9. Nose tackle often means the center d lineman in a 3-4 defense. Heh? Believe it or not..... there are other defensive line schemes than that don't require a big 0/1 technique guy. Honest !!!
  10. Oliver is 287 pounds. Yes, Basham can play inside and spell Oliver. Basham may be able to bulk up from 270 and give us an extra 3 technique on the inside- especailly on passing downs. We could then have Hughes and Rousseau on the outside and two penetrating interior tackles. That is a lot of speed to go after the mobile QB's that we often are facing. We also have Zimmer as interior DL, who is also speedy and good at pursuit. There is a plan.
  11. goal line formations could have him playing a TE position sort of tackle eliable...
  12. I could see combining our 2nd and 3rd (which is 3 players from being a 4th round pick) to get a player who would be a starter by mid-season. I would also very willingly trade any of the remaining picks for a pick in the next higher round next year. We would be ahead by [1] a round [2] by ranking in the round (we will be in the 28-32nd spot and move up to ? 10-15th?.
  13. I was thinking the same thing and was going to post as a joke. You beat me to it.!! Big hands, tall person, long arms. We go DE in the second round.
  14. PAT FREIERMUTH is just a classic tight end. He doesn't fit the Bills offense. I rather see a DE project or the best CB avaialabe
  15. "The Buffalo Bills announce a trade of their 1st round pick to xxxxx xxxxx is now on the clock". Time for bed. Both of me agree with you all.
  16. What in the world do you mean by that comment? The guy that we could draft at #30 is not to much different than the guy we could draft in the middle of the second round. You can't wish a top 15 talent DE into our #30 draft pick.
  17. Let me explain- it is really quite simple. If the defence is agressively going after the QB, then they are not filling all the running gaps NOR are they defending against the very short passes that are literally 2 yards behind the defensive line players.(who are leaning the wrong way). TT was great at starting by blocking a DL and then sneaking out behind him to catch a 2 yard pass, for at least a 7-12 yard gain- and very often a big chunk of yards. Somehow this does not work with Singletary and Moss but should work with Etinate. Where did you get your information that Etienne's reported 40 speed is a fraud? Are all 40 times a fraud this year as well? Why not add 0.2 seconds to his time to really make your point? Somehow the college game film has also been altered to show him faster than defenders or maybe Clemson only scheduled teams with slow players?
  18. Keeping him on the roster, when he is contributing little, getting good bucks and taking up a roster spot is dumber.
  19. BPA. check. Biggest improvement to the team. check. Improves our offense on 33% of the plays. check. Speedy enough to be a wide receiver and is a good pass receiver check His 40 speed is listed as 4.46 On one draft board, the top 10 wide receivers have 40 times of 4.40...4.45...4.45...4.44,,,,4.51.....4.48....4.50....4.45.....4.45.....4.49. six were faster, usually by 0.01 second and 4 were slower. Imagine lining up on the outside and having him defended by a big safety (all are about 0.1 second slower) or a linebacker (there are 2 freaks who are faster but all others are a few tenths of a second slower). D.Singletary ran 4.66 verus a 4.46 I see no reason why people shouldn't consider him an assist to the passing game as much as just a better RB.
  20. I agree that the top 15-20 holds the 1st rounders. If our BPA from that group drops to #30 the choice is clear. If not, than a player in the top 40 and an extra pick is the way to go. A reason why teams would get extra value from trading to get our #30 is the 5th year option on the player drafted in the first round. Options to using the delta draft value of +120, would be to trade up our 2nd or 3rd round picks. Say we trade #30 down to #40 and get 120 draft value points to play with. (yes, you have to get different teams to tango with you- lets see the sort of things that could happen) #30 #61 #93 Is what we have right now #40 #49 #93 If we trade down our first and up with our second round pick #40 #61 #68 If we trade down our first and up with our third round pick. Two players in the top 50 looks like a better choice- we could get good quality at DE and CB. Another option is to just take that +120 points (worth something at the bottom of the 3rd round #95) and invest it in a 2022 draft pick, which would become (using the bromide that trading a pick this year for a pick next year gets you a one round higher pick next year) a low second round pick (#62) in 2022. 2022 is supposed to be a much richer draft class and that would give us two second round pick
  21. He is an all around back but does not have great speed.
  22. JHC !!! Look at this list ..https://www.nfl.com/stats/player-stats/category/rushing/2020/REG/all/rushingyards/desc ... and look at who and what team the 27th f'ing leading rushers is in the NFL. It is the leading rusher of the Buffalo Bills. GET A F'king clue !!! And this is with the defences playing stop the pass 98%+ of the time. "What ????? the Bills did a running play??? Is that legal??? ................. ................ An okay, short ranged chugger is going to get some yards against spread defences because the safeties and LB are playing deep zones, and they can afford an ocassional 4 yard run and a rare 15 yard run. (Rah rah). ............. ..................... We need a guy with wheels and open field moves so that the LB and safeties and defensive linemen have to worry about the RB getting loose.
  23. We have the starting player roster points filled. This draft is funny. There are a number 15-20 of sure first round players. Then there are a lot of high second tier players at positions of interest to the Bills. (Corner, edge and O-line) that are about equal value.. The Bills should trade down from their first pick and trade up from their second pick OR trade down from their first and trade up from their 3rd round pick. They would like to get two picks in the top 50 and another in the top 75. We are guessing what they intend on upgrading the running back position. The Bills run the ball 38% of the time(21st most in the nlf) and getting a home run hitter there who can also catch passes, would be the biggest single player improvement in the team. If that is the case in their heads, then stand pat at #30, if two RB are taken ahead of our pick.
  24. What is wrong with drafting the players that will improve the team the most? I know that "BPA" has become the sacred cow, that can not be questioned. Let's rethink a bit. Right now, there are not a lot of exceptional DE's available and even the top 5 or so, come with some serious reservations. There is not that much difference between the second tier (late round 1 and round 2) and the players that we already have or could pick up with a cheap trade during roster cut-downs or as FA's. I saw somewhere that there are a lot of good CB's (18?) who have good grades and many are all about the same. My vote is to trade down from the first round and up in the second. Draft RB (one of the top 3) and CB (in no special order) with the first two picks. Then go BPA with a serious look at either a development type defensive end OR offensive lineman. The running backs gets their hands on the football between 33% and 55% of the time. (ignoring planned QB runs). Buffalo is #21 most often running with 38%. A big improvement in the RB is the best bang for the buck. The top 3 RB's are also weapons in the passing game and wil add more to the passing game (by creating a speed mismatch (Entente) or good pass catching) as actual receivers (note all the people wanting ANOTHER WR in the draft), forcing the defense to respect the run, as well as a sort of short pas TE role.
