Bills are Improved But Not Contenders
maryland-bills-fan replied to vorpma's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Also, we don't have a reserve place kicker on the roster. -
Cowturd is a cowturd. However, he probably has created more Buffalo Bill fans, just because people would like to shut his face up. Somebody said it right in a previous post. He his like the !@#$ at a cookout who is loud, opinionated, obnoxious and has people walking away from his area of the yard to avoid getting irritate by a simple !@#$. He makes just enough sense to keep himself from being dismissed and is good at sliding from there to beating the drum on his egotistical opinions.

I expected the Bills to get to 8-8 to 10-6 this year and fall just short of the playoffs. Missing Kyle, Bell, Williams and Merriman is giving us a little more of aan uphill battle to get to 10-6. We need stud outside linebackers to get a pass rush from the 3-4 and Jasper to come through. Then, next year is playoffs.

Burress' Assault on McKelvin
maryland-bills-fan replied to Joe13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will agree that the jests dominated the physical part of the game, but the ref's calls were against Buffalo in the part of the game that the bills usually win with. -

If we can play this game over again
maryland-bills-fan replied to billsfaninva's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Get Kyle into the game. Get Merriman and Kelsay back at outside linebackers. -
On offense: The track record is that the jest like to do wild ass blitzes and depend upon their two good CB's to handle the WR one on one. I don't see any change in that from the jets. We will run a bunch of stacked receivers to run picks and get the ball to our secondary receivers quickly. We will also run a lot of draws, slip passes to Freddy, and shovel passes. As a "surprise", I expect to see us go 4 or 5 wide and split out Jackson and Spiller to try to get a mismatch with a linebacker covering them. Fritz will roll out to get more time to pass. I also expect some sort of flea-flicker off of this with Fritz rolling and then passing/laterially to Smith on the opposite side. Don't be surprised to see a lot of Smith as QB, not only to read-and-run but to actually pass the ball. I think we have been setting this up in the last few games. On defense: I expect to see Darius as a classic nose tackle. Most of the year, we have played a contain the run defense with the defensive line putting their hands up to block passing lanes and close coverage. We never got the pass rush from Merriman or anybody else for that matter. Based upon last game, Darius' collpasing the pocket from the front and our weakness at linebacker, I expect to see a lot of blitzes from the Bills as well this week. It's something clear-cut for Moats and Batten and Coleman to do, Any other ideas?

Brad Smith - Are we using him correctly?
maryland-bills-fan replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course, Brad Smith cause the other team to have to prepare for another wrinkle and also watch our substituion pattern more (and whatever, somewhat less). Brad gives Fitspaterick a rest for a few plays throughout the game. Smith has almost always done a read and then a running play into the line. The option of throwing is still there. Other teams plan on the Bill's tendancies and the players get used to what the Bills usually do. Sooner or later, we are going to be in a fix and Brad is going to fake a run into the line, and then roll out or rear up and fire a long pass downfield to somebody who is wide open. If we have Brad pass routinely, then there is no surprise factor. Gailey is good at using one play or a series of plays to set up a future play. I think, we are providing a lot of repetitive film to opponents to prove that we don't pass from that formation. Don't be surprised. -
I live close enough to Washington that we have a mix of foreskin fans and baltimore browns fans. It is true that the majority feel of the redskins is a bunch of entitled, wealthy, government, we-are-the-elite and better-than-you fans(?), who consider their season tickets as a status and royality-status indicator, just like their kids private schools and country club memberships. UGGG.

http://www.hogshaven.com/2011/10/31/2528355/a-look-at-all-9-sacks-by-the-bills-against-the-redskins They show an analysis of all 9 sacks and blame Beck for poor decisions on most of them. I'm not sure what to make of this. Did we get all those sacks because our defense is coming around or because Beck is bad? I think that it is a little of each and for reference would like to see an analysis of typical games where there are 2-3 sacks against better QB's. Anyway, being able to feast on the other team's poor play means we win games that we used to not be able to win.

Shut-out wins are unsustainable.
maryland-bills-fan replied to SouthGeorgiaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The OP is right. We can't really have any confidence in the Bills untill they prove that they can get behind by a few touchdowns and still come back and win the game. -
I posted this in another thread. sorry if you already read it.

I don't think that the waiver wire position had much to do with the players that we have. Most of them were plucked off the practice squads of other teams.

Injuries & the Jets game
maryland-bills-fan replied to r00tabaga's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Before making too much of a deal about the foreskins losing because of injuries, consider what the Billls had as injuries and missing players. Starting slot receiver Roscoe Parrish.......IR Stating 2nd WR Donald Jones....................out with ankle Starting LOT... D.Bell...................................out with shoulder backup LOT Harrison.................................out with ankle starting LOG...Leveitre.................................playing LOT, replaced with Rheinhart starting OLB Merriman...............................IR starting NT K.Williams...............................out with bone spurs starting nickle back A.Williams................out with collarbone injury That is EIGHT players who would be starting and were replaced with backups. We are a beter team if those guys were playing. We will be a better teams as some of the rookies and young players get experience. Things are only going to get better. -
How bout that Andy Levitre

Imagine how solid the line will be when we have Bell and Harriston back at tackle. Imagine how solid it will be if man-mountain Jasper develops like he could. -

A Few Thoughts About The Game
maryland-bills-fan replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Troy Achingwomen has a very deep disrespect for the Bills and for Gailey. He is a pretty boy from big city glamorous Dallas and played with a bunch of "American's Team", self-appointed heros and stars. Gailey was OC in Dallas for a few years at the end of the group of hero's careers and had to put up with a bunch of giant egos and divas, including "the Troy, Captain America". It was pretty common knowledge that Gailey had problems dealing with the bunch of had-been star's egos, and any coach would have had trouble, unless he let them run the ship. I think you saw some of that hostility coming out in a hissy fit comments by Akerwomen. Akerwomen seems to have his head frozen in the time when he considered himself American's hero. The wildcat has a place in today's NFL as its another way of attacking more sophisticated defenses, which don't have an answer for a QB who runs to the open spot in the middle of the line as a first option. If the defense runs a twist or stunt that overloads a section of the offensive line, then there is a big gapping hole for someone like Smith to run through for an easy 5-7 yards. If the just hit and hold all the gaps, then a short pass behind the linebackers is also undefended. Acheingwomen isn't smart enought to see this type of evolution coming. We now have a number of big running QB's in the league and its only a matter of time before we see more of this as designed plays. Screw prettyboy. -
Honestly, I think they should have given Spiller the rock for a series or two near the end of the game. Maybe using the wildcat with Smith running the ball to run the clock down was sort of the same thing. We should spell Jackson more.

I just added I guy that you forgot to include in your list......
