  1. *****, they drafted Dobbins #1.
  2. Not to bring up politics, but one of the candidates seems to like to fondle little girls in public. I always saw a "this is creepy" look in some of the players at these hugs.
  3. Everybody has favorite scenerio for how the first round goes and how the 21 picks in the second round go, in order to get the favorite guy in the second round. Me? (no surprise) is that no RB's are taken and there is a stupid crazy run at cornerbacks, wide receivers, tight ends or QB's that soaks up a lot of draft picks so one of the top 3 running backs falls to were the Bills can draft them. (The other evil me, (or more evil the the other me) wishes that 5 running backs go in the first round and another 5 before our pick. Proves me right!!!! but the Bills are screwed into taking a 4th round rate talent ) What is your dream 1st round? Who would drop? Some diamond in the rough who you covet gets passed over? We got our pick in the 1st round already. I'm planning on watching Justin Jefferson during the season as he is, for some strange reason, right around #22 in the first round in so many mock drafts. I'll compare him to Diggs to see how we did on that trade.
  4. . Oh, I see that this chart could be looked at a different way. I was showing where the Bills picks were. You could also intreprete it as to where I thought the Bills should pick.
  5. Who is Zuniga? Somehow every big board has those guys ranked before #54 yet somebody who is LATEST DRAFT RANKINGS https://247sports.com/college/florida/Article/Jabari-Zuniga-2020-NFL-Draft-profile-and-rankings-from-Florida-Gators-Football-145312479/ - Every hear of reaching? Ever hear of "drafting for need" ( and is the 6th DE going to even get on the field- as if that is a need)
  6. premium edge rushers will not last to #54. Projects, hopes and development players will be there. We will NOT get somebody who will start this season. And we will go into a late season game with a chance to make the playoffs. The field is covered with snow, the snow is coming in horizontal, the score is 3 to 7 and wide receivers are elephants walking on slipper ice. We might have a 4th round RB, playing against a 1st or 2nd round pick. There is maybe a 1 in 8 chance that we have the better RB on the field. .... WTF. !!!!
  7. I have been saying this for a while and the response comes back a big silence. I think he trades up to get players he wants. He uses careful evaluation of free agents who out performed their place on the depth chart or were stacked up behind much better players, in order to meet some needs. He works that to get into a position where when the draft comes, he can move up and get the guy at a position of need and a guy who is a superior player who will win you games. ... I am just amazed by all the poster who say "Best player available" and then go into "well we need a 3rd string defensive end, 4th string WR because our starters and backups may retire some day". JMJ! THEY are drafting for need, but if you don't agree with them, well then, you are just a stupid reacher who lacks the sophisticated insight that they have. I also have a hope that we will find this out and be happy.
  8. I would be happy with any of the top 4 at #54 or with some sort of move up. Akers, because of the o-line problems and quirky offense scheme could be a bust or could be better than his ranking. He has more risk. We lack a RB who is a good WR and Swift, E-H and Dobbins are good as a wide out (Swift & E-H) and pass catcher (Dobbins). They would be my choice, but they might be gone. Anyway, if we take one of the top 4, I would not consider it a reach.
  9. Must have missed it. thanks. Well, teams that are struggling to get into the playoff...maybe they draft a RB high because it is the best pick to get the best and quickest improvement? And yes, low draft picks in CB, WR and offensive line often perform better than high draft picks. And you point is??
  10. Just for interest to see how some Big Boards rate the running backs. I think these rankings are better than my opinion about the relative merits and draft values of the players and would be of interest to people concerning the economic and value use of our 2nd and third round pick. https://thedraftnetwork.com/prospect-rankings 18 Dobbins 23 Swift 25 Taylor 37 Helaire 76 Moss 84 Gibson 88 Benjamin Akens not listed correction #41 in this board https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/04/19/draft-big-board-updated-top-255-prospects 23 Swift 29 Taylor 33 Dobbins 44 Heliare 66 Akers 88 Moss 106 Benjamin 107 Gibson https://walterfootball.com/nfldraftbigboard 14 Swift 17 Taylor 32 Helaire 46 Akers 48 Moss 50 Dobbins 77 Dillon 92 Perine https://www.cleveland.com/browns/2020/04/nfl-mock-draft-2020-see-the-composite-big-board-featuring-the-top-100-prospects.html The rankings used for this year’s big board come from NFL.com’s Gil Brandt from April 13, Pro Football Focus from April 14, USA Today Draft Wire’s Luke Easterling from April 17, NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah from April 20 and SB Nation’s Dan Kadar from April 21. 29 Swift 38 Taylor 49 Dobbins 49 Helaire 65 Akers 77 Moss http://www.tankathon.com/nfl/big_board 33 Swift 45 Taylor 48 Dobbins5 51 Helaire 65 Akers 80 Moss https://draftwire.usatoday.com/2020/04/17/2020-nfl-draft-rankings-big-board-top-300/3/ 17 2Taylor 21 Swift 42 Dobbins 47 Akers 49 Helaire 59 Moss Overall averages for the top RB 24 Swift 28 Taylor 44 Hilaire 48 Dobbins ....Bills pick at #54 55 Akers still at 55 71 Moss ...Bills pick at #86
  11. Walter football is ok but always trashes the Bills. By the way, I am interested in a second running back for the Bills and took these Big Boards and several others I found and listed how the RB's were rated in the top 100 picks. I put this in a new thread. "Big board ratings of RB's"
  12. No way. Look at his rankings in yards gains as rushing and yards gained from passing. I don't want to the Bills to be good looking also rans. Gee, What you said doesn't make sense. Unless there is this big RULE of FOOTBALL in the sky about positional value. Total yards gained as a reciever. Look it up.
  13. Brilliant !! Allen dies of coroan virus, Wuhan virus, COG29g what ever. The Bills get the BPA offensive center in the draft and celebrate. fail Not exactly. Singletary is not a top 24 RB/receiver. They are looking to upgrade from him and make him the complementary RB1B
  14. That OJ Simpleton guy was a bust
  15. So you are a draft for need guy Well then you explain to all those people who criticize the selection of a RB by saying they only have a 3-4 year lifetime in the NFL. So you are a draft for needs guy now? Corner Edge and o-line are 2 to 3 starter quality players deep. RB is one player deep and that guy was out a quarter of the last season and was about #45 in RB receiving. I think we can start from that and work out what the Bills are planning.
  16. Gee, OKAY the are just looking for a back up for the guy who was #20 in rushing yardage and about 45th in receiving yardage. Well BPA is okay if that player is a DE or WR or CB (that is not reaching or going for "need").
  17. Really. So you are in favor of taking a less skilled player for the Bills. Okay.
  18. Yes, I agree that is true to some extent. Could that author explain why they run the ball 40% of the time? I guess I would like to have a running back who was also a weapon in catching passes. Swift, Dobbins and Edward-Helaire are excellent there and Akens and Taylor were not asked to be a receiver very much in college. There are those who suggest that Swift and Helaire might have been top notch wide receivers
  19. Well, I show my predictions AFTER the draft and surprise everyone with how good they are.
  20. I give the trade an A. Justin Jefferson is a WR who is right around #22 in most mock drafts. Lets compare his production at the end of the season with Diggs. Also, remember that the NFL might only have 2 or 3 weeks of pactice before the season. The rookies will be much slower to come up to speed. Don't ignore that. It is one of the factors in the trade and jacked up the price.
  21. ?? 3 is a third of 9. 4-5 would be half. You also forgot the 7th from Mini.
  22. Why would you want an inferior RB rather than a top guy? If you make the backup RB the 8th or higher RB taken, most likely he will not be as good as the 3rd of 4th RB taken. If you get the earlier guy he is less likely to be a bust. IF you get the earlier guy, he should be even better than Singletary (I guess that obvious statement should get out the pitchforks and firebrand people) and get more yardage and more TD's. (touchdown maker). If you get the earlier guy you can get a guy who has more speed around the corner, has more breakaway speed, a guy who can line up wide and be an extra legimate wide receiver and a guy who is a natural pass catcher that the coaches would trust. It is a matter of getting BETTER at every position at positions that matter. We CAN get a guy at #54, who will probably be the starter or RB1A guy by the middle of the season. Why settle for a "cost effective" backup? I don't get it. RB is a position, where one guy can win a game for you and make the QB and wide receivers look better.
  23. CapeBreton brought up Dobbins. I think he has a better chance of being around in the 40-52 area than Taylor, E-H or Swift. He appears to be a good pass catcher and would give some wrinkles to the offense to complement Singletary. I also think any one of the top 5 RB's would be an improvement on Singletary and could be a top 10 RB, whereas Singletary is about at his ceiling around the 16 to 24 range.
  24. Silly me. Here I thought that teams drafted better players sooner than no so good players. Glad that you decided to correct me on that.
