Bills 13, Eagles 31 postgame thread
LEBills replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eagles were playing for their season, Bills made some mistakes. We will move on and likely have a more successful season than the Eagles. Any given Sunday this can happen, it’ll be ok -

Nah you wouldn’t need a first round pick, but Corey Davis is going into a year where the Titans will have to decide whether to pickup his 5th year option and was a top 5 pick plagued by inconsistent QB play. He is older and not as physically gifted so the cost would be less than Cooper but a similar situation to poach -

I’ve been marooned in South Jersey for 3 years now. Really lookin forward to the radio after we beat them on Sunday and everyone here freaks out. They're not that good of a team. This will likely be a game that Josh delivers a big game through the air (I know we were expecting it this week) and our defense will smother Wentz. Plus, the Eagles will be caught sleeping after a short “Cowboys” week. If you can’t tell I’m pretty excited. -
Josh Allen - week SEVEN report card
LEBills replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh was good today. First half was a bit of a mess for the whole team. Defense let the dolphins hold the ball a lot time. Offense had some bad drops and penalties. Even the second half, we had one possession the entire 3rd quarter. I know that we wanted to stomp the dolphins because they have been historically bad but our team played down to the competition. Josh did everything he needed to today. Yes he still needs to improve his hot reads on those delayed blitzes that keep getting him. And he needs to improve the accuracy of his long ball. But his accuracy is looking really good. He is playing under more and more control. We should be very very happy with his development as a QB. The two issues he had will eventually come around with more experience and opportunity. -

What would it cost to trade for the Scottish hammer? Guy looks like he could rip Bojo in half and then coffin kick both halves inside the 5 -
End zone pick

It almost feels unthinkable posing this question. And we all hate giving up draft picks. But I had to watch the Eagles win a Super Bowl last year from the confines of South Jersey... They has a second year QB who played out of his mind, bolstered by a team that Howie Roseman crammed with talent by giving away players and draft picks for upgrades at positions of weakness. (You can read some of the highlights here: http://www.espn.com/blog/philadelphia-eagles/post/_/id/24219/the-seven-days-that-transformed-eagles-into-super-bowl-contenders) We are at the same point in a similar rebuild. And so I ask the question, is it an opportunity for us? We have a supposedly weak schedule, a budding 2nd year QB that gives us great cap flexibility and not that many holes to fill. Here are some moves I think could help us mirror the Eagles success: 1. Trade for Jadeveon Clowney. Houston’s lack of OLine talent could feed into our favor. Plus it seems Houston doesn’t want to meet the contract Clowney’s side wants. Trade them Dawkins and a 2nd for Clowney and a 6th? 2. Trade a 6th for Cameron Brate. TB has OJ Howard starting and are paying Brate, a backup TE a pretty penny. He would immediately be a very good pass catching TE for us and their is no guaranteed money on his contract after this year. He had a drop off in production last year as he played all 2018 with a hip injury but should be cleared by training camp. 3. Trade our first for AJ Green. The Bengals are entering a rebuild and having a second 1st round pick to maneuver around and get their top QB in 2020 may be too much for them to say no to. I know it may seem surreal to think about us making that type of jump, but if the Eagles could do it would it be that crazy to think we could pull off something similar?
