What they thought in 2017 of McD hire
LEBills replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was completely wrong on McD. I wanted an offensive minded coach back then and was disappointed with another Defensive coach. I even had some doubts about him in 2018 because I loved Josh as a prospect but I thought he (and Beane) handled the QB position terribly (starting Peterman, not having an experienced QB room until midway through the season) But he has really been great and he has improved in the nuances of coaching. Glad to be very wrong and excited for the next several years with him and Josh -
10/10/21 SNF Gameday Bills @ Chiefs Pregame Thread
LEBills replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now I like this -
If our OLine whips the Chiefs DLine, this game will be a blow out for us. It will only be his second start, but the physicality that Spencer Brown has shown so far is something we didn’t see last year. Its a lot to ask of a rookie 3rd rounder and he will be challenged but if he punishes whatever defender he is assigned to, that is going to go a big way in our winning.

Dolphins are the frontrunner on trade for Deshaun Watson

Plus they can throw in Hurts, who while not great, is much better than Tua -

Tua bruised ribs (update: fractured, headed to IR)

Yea Tua is done in Miami Maybe he will carve out a place as a backup somewhere -
So about the OP. Josh running is still part of the game plan and that is why he is averaging more runs per game now (7 per game) than he did last year. However, I remember last year Josh saying during a press conference that his body hurts more than it probably should. So I don’t think he wants to take it out of his game but he wants to be smarter with it. Rather than running over Van Noy, he is running out of bounds, or sliding at the goal line. But I think he is especially trying to sit behind the LOS and throw it more rather than scramble. The pass blocking has made it where their are instances he probably should have scrambled more but I think he is trying to figure out a balance. He is our franchise QB. Scrambling but being smart about the shots his body takes is his next step in his evolution. It may lead us to question what is going on early this season but I think it will pay off in the long run. Cant wait to destroy WFT tmrw

Bills Parlay today. Yea or Nay to hit ??
LEBills replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Devin averaged over 6 yards per carry last week. Essentially, you are betting he gets 7 rushes. He got 11 last week. I would take that even with Moss playing. Sanders had 52 yards last week. As much confidence we have that Josh will torch them, Miami has two good boundary corners. This is the one I would be less sure about. But would still take. Good luck! -
Matthew Fairburn off to cover the Pats (update - he’s back)

Bills trading Daryll Johnson to the Panthers for 6th rd pick
LEBills replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is great for the Bills and Bam. Bam was never going to get a real chance to shine on a bills Roster that now has 3 young, high draft picks and two veterans. Across from Burns, Bam might be able to get more playing time than he would have with us. For the Bills, we got a 6th rounder for a former 7th rounder who was going to be a free agent after this year. As the Bills cap figure starts to creep up with Allen’s new contract, these are the type of roster churning moves that have to be made to keep us competitive. Move off a player a year before he gets more expensive than he is worth or before he can leave for nothing. Good job Beane and good luck Bam, you played well in your limited role here. -

Buffalo Bills could be among least covid-19 vaccinated teams
LEBills replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What choice did he make tho? If I remember the reporting correctly he said he was vaccinated but not outside of the two week post vax timeframe where people are still susceptible Actually he did say he was vaccinated and did so for his wife and child but still got hit hard https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2021/08/19/buffalo-bills-dion-dawkins-describes-scary-covid-19-bout/amp/ -
This is the correct answer, after a year sitting behind Allen he will follow Daboll to his next stop with a decent contract and that will go into the Bills comp formula.

Now that the LA and Las Vegas boogyman are gone the NFL doesn’t really have a city to threaten teams with. ohhhh we could move the Bills to…Austin Texas lol. You better pay or we will move your team to Portland Oregan! St Louis, Oakland, San Diego have already rejected public funds for a stadium. The Pegulas will get taxpayer funding here for their stadium, it won’t be 100%. These leaks of potential moves are becoming funnier and funnier tho. Terry and Kim are not very good at a lot of things. Can’t wait for our new stadium!

I think it will be ok because I doubt everyone who makes the team will be vaccinated so it will show the Bills are not excluding non-vaxed people from employment. This will only affect the fringe guys and cutting a few can be explained away as going with who they thought was the better player. But it does potentially open them up for a grievance (which like I said probably could not be supported). But those comments may be more headache than they were worth in the long run. But it was certainly an honest moment that really shows Beane’s thinking regarding our team and really underscores how calculated our rise to success has been by doing all the little things to be as competitive as possible.
