  1. Golden is like AD Mitchell last year. Good route runners who blow up the combine but it doesn’t match what you see on tape. AD Mitchell had no yac ability. Golden has more yac but for someone with 4.3 speed he got caught from behind an awful lot this year. He is better than Mitchell who was a mid- second rounder last year tho Felton is an interesting guy because he can make plays at all three levels but had a really high drop rate for someone who averaged less than 10 air yards per target. I like the bigger receivers this year, Harris, Horton and Higgins tho I’ve only seen Higgins gauntlet so far.
  2. two in the last two years it seems, Coleman and Torrence. 2024: https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2024/03/nfl-combine-2024-buffalo-bills-prospect-meeting-tracker.html?outputType=amp 2023: https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2023/03/nfl-scouting-combine-2023-who-have-buffalo-bills-met-with-in-indianapolis.html?outputType=amp
  3. Will be 25 in August, didn’t become a starter at Toledo until his fifth year in college. He did show out at the Senior Bowl and has gotten buzz as a first rounder lately but I would be disappointed if the Bills took him early.
  4. Moreso than height and weight, the Bills like to draft DEs with long arms. Since 2017, Boogie Basham had the shortest arms at 32 and 7/8 inches. All other drafted DEs had a minimum of 33 and 7/8 inches (Soloman, Johnson). AJ and Groot who were the first picks in their drafts had 34 and 3/8 and 34 and 1/2 inch arms respectively. Walker with sub 32 inch arms is probably a little too sawed off for the Bills.
  5. I’ll add this video from right after the draft to the people who were right about Shakir thread. Some of the things Kollmann pointed out like Shakir’s high catch rate, good contested catch percentage, yards after the catch, and missed tackles forced have obviously translated. He also made this video right after the shooting at the Buffalo Tops to draw attention to it and how to donate to the recovery.
  6. “Up to” 60 mill so wonder what the incentives are and what the real value shakes out to. Shakir is one of my favorite players so excited to have him along especially if it is even less than the 15/year. Just give Cook a similar deal and then the offense is set except for extending McGovern and drafting some WRs.
  7. I appreciate it, I haven’t seen much of his 24 games because his season got cut short pretty quickly. I’ll see if I can take a look at that Texas game. And you may remember that I loved Troy Franklin last year so now I’m thinking of moving Horton UP in my ranking (jkjk). I think you are right that is what I see in Horton, someone who can really stretch the field (he torched a young Will Johnson back in 2022) and where he is different from Franklin is he has awesome hands. For the route running, I definitely put that on the coaches and the terrible QBs he had. For Felton, honestly his size knocked him down for me. Not long arms, sub 9 inch hands, a wingspan smaller than Tez Johnson’s. And he had a pretty high drop rate for having a sub 10 yard ADOT. I liked a lot of what I saw of him attacking all three levels but unless he is uber athletic at the combine I think he may be capped a bit on upside. Ayomanor is a tough one because he also had terrible QBing too. There are flashes but I don’t think he moves nearly as well as other bigger receivers like Higgins or Harris. Would have been nice if he went to the Senior Bowl.
  8. Do you mean David Edwards when you are talking about Guard? IF we move on from him I think Anderson would be the replacement and then a late round pick or minimum contract vet to backfill the spot, if anything.
  9. Cisco at the right price would be great. Last year’s Free Agency there were only two safeties that got more than 7.5 per year. Anything more than that for Cisco and I think looking at other options would be better. Rather spend at other positions like corner or DL.
  10. you think the Bills would draft him with his weight? I think Tre was the smallest CB this regime has drafted at 190 pounds. He does play bigger than his size
  11. Doubt Amos runs that well. Good zone corner. If we decide to play more man coverage, Thomas would be nice
  12. Yea I certainly wouldn’t want that if I was Mara, that’s just one of the rumors I heard about Stafford.
  13. I know Cowherd was talking about this trade weeks ago and the rumor was Stafford for the Giants third overall pick (assume other things would go in to balance it out for the Giants). Basically Stafford comes to save Daboll and co.’s job and then the Rams presumably can get in range for there preferred QB, Hunter or Carter
  14. I agree Egbuka is a good receiver and better than Harris right now. Getting him at 30 would be a steal. My main questions for Horton is health. If you have any others I’d be interested in look for them too. Golden even at 8 is still a receiver I’d be happy with at 30. Some underrated things about Golden and his route running is he would get outside of a defender just enough that he drew a bunch of holding and pass interference penalties. He also was good in contested situations, even without being the biggest or springiest because he got himself into the best positions on the play. And he kept the Texas passing game afloat and when he was out for a bit against Georgia Texas offense just stalled. My main reason for having him this low is he just doesn’t look like that dynamic of an athlete to me. Now I felt the same way about AD Mitchell last year and then he blew up the combine. (Ewers just seems to have that effect of making world class athletes looks sluggish). But Golden would create nice separation for himself and then get caught from behind. I think he can be really good and will probably wind up better than some of the guys ahead of him in my ranks, but when I try to factor in upside I wound up with him at 8.
  15. Yea I think that is short changing him a bit. I get why you feel that way, the Ole Miss offense didn’t put him through many routes where he had to get separation. But I think there are moments against his SEC competition that flash whether it’s a screen pass, running away from a defender or stacking a few defenders for a long catch. So I think he has it in him to become a good separator for his size. Brown came out of a small college so I never watched him in college even though I’ve been following the draft since 06. Worthy is a good comparison because Bond basically filled his role in the Texas offense. Worthy is faster, but I think Bond is a better receiver than Worthy was. Worthy made plays but he would also make some mistakes (fumbles, drops, not being disciplined on the sideline). Bond has his own drops but I think he does some of the smaller stuff better. I think if you could use him like Zay Flowers in Baltimore that would be an awesome role for him.
  16. Recommend watching White’s 2023 film. More consistent QBing and variety of routes. UNLV got very run heavy and had White run much more basic routes in 2024. Horton was another guy limited by his offense. Great hands and hit 22 mph (or 33.5 km/h haha) on the field, he just didn’t get to show his speed a ton. Big fan of Harris. He isn’t much of a route runner bc of the system but physically he is dominant. I think Bond’s speed is special. He had a rough 2024 due to injuries which ceded touches to Golden. Prior to Bonds injury in Week 5, he was much more productive then Golden. Watching him at Alabama he was going to be the next guy up until Saban retired.
  17. Assuming Harris and Horton medicals are ok: 1. Tet McMillan 2. Tre Harris 3. Emeka Egbuka 4. Isaiah Bond 5. Tory Horton 6. Jayden Higgins 7. Matthew Golden 8. Ricky White 9. Luther Burden 10. Tez Johnson
  18. Let’s get this train back on track
  19. I agree, but only cap savings comes with a trade. So hopefully they figure that out rather than eating the $4 mill dead cap if they just release him.
  20. If we trade Elam before 6/1 we save 2.5 mill. Would some team take Elam and a 6th for a 7th rounder?
  21. Yea it’s a draft with no instant impact players, a couple guys that filled a role. Have the most hope for Bishop, Solomon and Grable going forward. McDermott had weird comments about Bishop in July about the number one thing for him is being in shape after the break [before camp]. That along with being behind guys like Hamlin and Rapp all year just seems like maybe the Bills didn’t get what they were expecting.
  22. Tre Harris or any of the DTs that wind up at 30 (Walter Nolan, Derrick Harmon, TJ Sanders, Kenneth Grant).
  23. Yea it will be interesting to see his measurements. He did outrun the Marshall defense on a screen pass so the speed may be there. I will say that he was clutch for OSU, he has just been there so long he is a bit taken for granted. Kind of like how Chris Olave was. Egbuka is my top slot WR and so when the rankings are combined puts Horton at WR6 too. He is another guy that ran a million short routes and didn’t get to show his speed enough in college.
