I wouldn't normally post something like this, but I just can't keep it to myself. The following email was sent by a girl in our customer services department to every employee on the floor (about 60). Enjoy: Re: Missing Container left in Fridge Yesterday morning, I placed a plastic container that had a red lid in the fridge. The container had some milk in it. Yesterday afternoon, I went back to the kitchen for some coffee. I went to the fridge and opened it. Low in behold, my container with milk was not there! I thought, no big deal maybe someone moved it. I searched the door. I searched each shelf and even the crispers (just in case) I thought, well maybe I put it in the other fridge. Needless to say, I searched the other fridge and still, no container! I went home and thought maybe I didn’t check thoroughly. I thought; if someone decided to use the milk, it won’t be long before they return the container. I come back today and checked both refrigerators thoroughly. You all can guess the rest. No Container! I am bringing this to your attention because it is not the first time it has happened to me. This is the second time in 2 months!! After speaking to several other employees, I hear their stories of missing yogurts, salads, sandwiches, food once in there containers and then placed back empty! It’s not about the container or the milk I had in it. It’s about the PRINCIPAL! It’s a violation of ones personal property! To think, it is being done by your own co-workers is down right inconsiderate and disrespectful. So for those who don’t know.. We have a food bandit among us! Whoever took my little square container with the red lid, can put it back in the fridge. I am not concerned with finding out who it is. My concern is that this does not continue to happen and you show some respect and not take something that does not belong to you. If you are that hungry then by yourself a snack or ask someone if you can have there snack but don’t take what does not belong to you. I am addressing this because it needs to stop. If you find this e-mail amusing, feel free to forward it to your friends. This is not a joke. ---------------------------------------------- And the follow up: ---------------------------------------------- My mistake, it’s the PRINCIPLE not the PRINCIPAL. Maybe we need a Principal since it feels like we are in school getting are lunches stolen. ----------------------------------------------- Also of note: We use MS Outlook, so she has a blue sky & cloud background on all of her emails. My boss is pleading for restraint from us. He's sure he'll end up in HR later today because one of us will make a snippy reply.

Who are YOU rooting for...........
HopsGuy replied to BeantownRob's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Philly - I went to college in Philadelphia, so lots of my friends are Eagles fans. They rooted for the Bills during the SB years, so I'll reciprocate. Of course that might be the kiss of death. McNabb was at the 'Cuse when I lived there. I can't help but like the guy. He seems to be the antithesis of the athletes that get the headlines (Moss, Artest, etc.). -
My buddies and I have gone to Vegas for March Madness the last two years. But since it's become such a sausage fest, we're thinking of moving that trip to the fall for a football weekend. Some other friends have a boat, so a trip to Bimini or Port Lucaya might be on the horizon (so to speak). Then again, the Bills play at San Diego next year...

Tom, you haven't been to South Florida in a while. After your description of Steve, there would be one of two responses from the ladies here: (1) What does he drive? (2) ¿Que? -

Bills/Raiders Championship game (51-3)
HopsGuy replied to Fezmid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe you and Fezmid can collaborate on something. I have a small wishlist: Dolphins at Bills ('90) - Reich and Roll Bills at Dolphins ('89) - Kelly scores on last play, Marv drags cable boy down field Bills at Dolphins ('83) - Fergy's best day as a pro; Marino's first start Rams at Bills ('89) - MNF Reich wins in closing moments Bills at Raiders ('91) - Norwood misses a ton of kicks, but finally wins Bills at 49ers ('92) - No punts Fez - I'll want that 51-3 game, but I'll probably wait until you have a few more games. Your work is great. -

Don't knock it Jack. I had chicks chasing me down the street like the Beatles when I was published in a Sports Guy column. -
[superintendant Chalmers sees Principal Skinner's kitchen on fire] Superintendant Chalmers: Good Lord, what is happening in there? Principal Skinner: The Aurora Borealis? Superintendant Chalmers: The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen? Principal Skinner: Yes. Superintendant Chalmers: May I see it? Principal Skinner: No.

Better DDS, Hermie or Orin Scrivello? -
I caught "Euro Trip" the other night. Laughed my butt off. God I'm immature.

The more I watch this game, the more I think that it's probably best the Colts lose here. The saying is that "defense wins championships", and the pathetic display the Colts' D put on with that last drive football fans deserve better in the Championship in 3 weeks.

amount spent on alcohol/cigarettes monthly
HopsGuy replied to millbank's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Easily $250+ on booze. I go out with friends quite a bit and that ranges from $50- 120. I buy a 12 or a case when I go over to a friends house for football. A bottle something for the host of a party. The girl I'm seeing has expensive taste in wine, so that adds quite a bit. Damn, maybe I have a problem? At least I don't smoke. -
Steve is right, it's 6 of one, half dozen the other as far as distance. I wouldn't go so far to say the PBI is nicer, but certainly less crowded and much easier to get through. If your company is paying for it, go PBI over FLL.

(1) Send stupid emails from guys' computers when they step away from their desk (2) Set their home page to the pixieland site. (3) Put up David Hasslehoff photos for their wallpaper. (4) Put a napkin in their sandwich (always a good time when they bite into it). We have a pretty good time here.

Maybe he should get Jackie Childs from "Sienfeld" to represent him? "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the defendants' rhetoric is libelous, slanderous, OUTRAGEOUS!"

(OT) Are there any self-help interview books out?
HopsGuy replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ask them why a manhole cover is round. I was asked that once and I replied, "I'm sure is was so that interviewers would have a standard question for prospective employees to determine their ability to think creatively. Oh, I'm sorry. It's so they won't slip down the manhole they cover." -
Yup, and why did they do it? Because the residents of East Timor are Christians. My friend is a dentist in the Navy. A couple of years ago he was in East Timor doing some dental work on the locals (mostly pulling rotting teeth). He sent me some pictures from the USS Harper's Ferry. Looked like a bunch of refugees, but they sure were happy to see the sailors. This was about 4 years ago.

How about this one?, since he's already caught up with you. There's one here, too.

Robin is not leaving the show. She is going to try to do her own afternoon interview show, kinda like Ellen. Howard's deal is 5-years for $100 million. I have a short drive to work, so I'm probably not going to be a satellite subscriber. If I had a drive of over 45 minutes, I'd probably consider it. I love the show.

Dave, don't you worry that FAU will overtake UM in football soon? I mean, what with the lower academic standards up there in Boca the Fightin' Owls will be able to better recruit from the plentiful football talent in our state? Oh wait, the high academic standards of UM don't apply to athletes in the money programs. Good thing they aren't as strict with the players as that place up in South Bend. On the other hand, the basketball team seems to be getting better since the move to the ACC. They're a fun team to watch. Y'know, if you're in to basketball. I love to get under Gator fans skins when they whine about the football team. I say, "Well, UF is a basketball school anyway." I might have to start breaking that line out with my 'Cane friends.
