Looking for a good Bills bar in Ft. Lauderdale

Rivals, across the street from the Diplomat on A1A. 3460 South Ocean Drive Hollywood, FL -
Traveling tip at the CLT airport: After you check your bags and have your boarding pass, go to the security check point to the far left (D/E?) It's always the shortest security line. Usually there's no wait, but since this is the holidays, there will probably be a slight delay but still way better than the other more crowded lines for US Airways. Once you're in the terminal, you can easily get to your gate. /The more you know.

When it comes to breast cancer awareness, I think my favorite tag-line is "Save 2nd Base". -
Good news for all you single guys

She's 26. I'd have to break the "half your age plus 7" rule by one year. Can I get a ruling here? "Sorry, Ryan. She's just not that into you." Hey-O! -
It makes sense that Kirkman doesn't want to get bogged down in the details of the cause. It's messy on both the biological-chemistry as well as biological-evolutionary levels. Re-animation? Okay, I guess you could say anaerobic bacteria could be responsible for something, but re-animating brain tissue deprived of oxygen for up to 8 hours stretches credulity. Also, a mutation/infection that leads to the cannibalization of the living would not be very good for the general population, right? Or can zombies reproduce? This reduces the whole thing to the "Red Death" that EAP covered. Of course, I'm over-thinking it but that's what the TS-19 episode makes you do. Nice to see Noah Emmerich getting work, though.

Do you know the way to San Jose? Take the 33 to the airport, boys!

[superintendant Chalmers sees Principal Skinner's kitchen on fire] Superintendant Chalmers: Good Lord, what is happening in there? Principal Skinner: The Aurora Borealis? Superintendant Chalmers: The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen? Principal Skinner: Yes. Superintendant Chalmers: May I see it? Principal Skinner: No.

Just plowed through all 6 episodes. I don't normally go for zombie stuff but I found this to be compelling. I won't be fidgeting waiting for new episodes like with "Mad Men" or "Breaking Bad" but I'll be happy to see this show return next fall. AMC seems to be hitting on all cylinders despite "Rubicon" not coming back.
-
Yup. No surprise there with those abysmal ratings. "Seinfeld" stumbled out of the gate but was given so time to find an audience. Shows get no chance these days. Rubicon won't be back, either. This guy was in both shows. He's the new Ted McGinley. Britt went to jail, right? No way he leaves Katie and the baby (his or not). Plus, he's still wanted in Mexico.

She was pretty great in .

AMC is going to be running all 3 seasons of "Breaking Bad" on Wednesdays late night. Set your DVRs accordingly.

Do not restart your PC if you are using AVG
HopsGuy replied to Booster4324's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Mine was an XP Pro that was taken down. Not BSOD, but froze 20 seconds after boot... EVERY TIME. It was maddening. I tried to kill the AVG processes, but no one can point/click/type that fast. My bp is rising just thing about it. -

No kidding. My work PC was destroyed by the latest AVG update. I had to reformat. Thank goodness for Dropbox & Mozy. I too, switched over to Avast. -
That's my thing. I've basically switched over to Bourbon or Scotch (despite my name). When I'm buying Bourbon for the house, I'd like to keep Maker's Mark or Knob Creek but I go with Jim Beam. For Scotch I'd like to keep Johnny Walker Black (or Blue!) but I go with Red. When I'm in the Canadian mood, it's Crown Royal. I have a friend in FL that likes "Crown and Ginger". At a wedding a few years ago (before I switched from beer), he got one for me. Later, I was telling my dad about it. My dad's drink of choice way back in the day was Crown and he said, "Ginger Ale? Boy, that's a lousy way to treat Crown!" Since then, I've only had Crown on the rocks. Dad's usually right about these things.

I applaud you for "thinking outside the box" (an overused phrase that actually applies here). This story was picked up on Dealbreaker. The Dow was up 250 today, but this story still managed to make it to one of the best market blogs out there. As a caveat, the post was made at 4:20 PM today so we might all be high to think this is possible. Anyway, good on. If it goes through, you should give away t-shirts that say "Certified Bills Bondholder" with each $250 bond. I'm pretty sure you could get more than 1k here in Charlotte alone. This place is lousy with WNY transplants.

One of my college roommates loved to randomly yell out, "Hey! It's Enrico Pallazzo!" in public places. Always got a laugh. They only made 6 episodes of "Police Squad" before it was cancelled. I was 12 years old and this was my first sign that adults don't know everything. Here's a nice tribute on The Big Lead. "Is this a bust?" "Yes, it's very impressive but I would like to ask you some questions."

There's an electrical products distributor in Syracuse called Baldwin-Hall. I was told that there was a familial connection to the Hollywood Baldwins. Judging by the website, the same guy is running it as when I dealt with them back in '97-99. That's one business that never seemed to fall to the big box store phenomenon. Sure, there are some big chain electrical distributors (Graybar, WW Grainger, etc), but that's still a relationship business. Weird.

The lack of a post in agreement didn't mean that no one agreed. Sometimes that's just the way it goes. Here's His Royal Purpleness at his best: I'm just sayin' that dogs catching Frisbees would be a big hit at a very low price.
