  1. The only Bills jerseys I have are Bobby Chandler (#81, home blue) & Bob Kalsu (#61, road white - throwback). Those guys have shuffled off this mortal coil so I'm safe from trades or off-the-field transgressions. That said, I got a sweet Chinese knockoff of a Tyler Myers jersey. That's a risk, but the price was pretty low ($53 incl shipping). If I was going pay up and get a custom Sabres I'd probably get a #2 Tim Horton, #32 Rob Ray, or #22 Lindy Ruff (White, current/old-school, of course). Hockey player tend to be good guys, so less risk of off-the-ice incidents. Then again, I'm probably too old to be wearing jerseys.
  2. I'm going to assume you're channeling and not plagiarizing. Here's my favorite baseball-related quote: I could go on and on about the differences between baseball and football but I would get all condescending and Carlin-ish, and no one needs that.
  3. I find it sort of weird that AMC is now deciding to come into the kitchen and make demands on the ingredients. Their MO for original programming was to hire talented people and give them creative control. This has worked out great with "Mad Men", "Breaking Bad", "The Walking Dead" being the best shows on television (IMHO). Heck, even "Rubicon" was good once it finally got going. I have high hopes for "The Killing" starting this weekend. But now you've got people coming in and telling them to lose 2 characters and cut the show by 2 minutes? The heck is wrong with these people?
  4. Buddy Nix Fake Wall I searched both TSW and OTW to see if this was posted, but didn't find anything. If it's already out there, I'll delete.
  5. Maybe she follows the same philosophy as everyone's former favorite punching bag? But make no mistake, I'm definitely going to try that Bloody Mary recipe.
  6. Any product borne out of an idea that got Michael Scott's foot grilled has to be a winner, right?
  7. "I didn't invent the rainy day, man. I just own the best umbrella."
  8. The Dolphins own Joe Robbie/Pro Player/Dolphins/Dolphin/Land Shark/Sun Life Stadium. I don't believe any part of the financing of the construction or upgrades were in any party publicly funded, either (unlike Jonestown).
  9. Since AMC re-ran the entire first season, I decided to see if there are any podcasts out there. And, of course, there are tons. Here's one where the participants are fans of both the graphic novel and the TV show: Walking Dead Podcast Here's one from "ThisWeekIn.Com" that even had "Jim" for one show (YouTube Channel): ThisWeekInWalkingDead It's a long way off but with all the turmoil in the world right now, we may as well get ourselves focused on the inevitable zombie apocalypse.
  10. Anyone read the post on Deadspin from the anonymous BYU alum?
  11. And we're sure this isn't the start of The Zombie Apocalypse, but with puppies? And wouldn't that be the way "they" would do it, huh? I mean, who would suspect puppies? I'd just like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that "The Walking Dead" marathon starts tonight on AMC.
  12. My favorite protest sign: Link Oh - and like BuffOrange, Jack and Norma Arnold.
  13. Man, people used to be awesome. Antonio Meucci needed an angel investor.
  14. I've got a Young Dubliners CD around here somewhere. I love their version of "Fisherman's Blues". ****, now I've got to find that and The Chieftains' "Long Black Veil". After football, February is a long wait for March Madness & St. Patty's Day.
  15. And then there's this.
  16. I live in Charlotte now, less than a mile from my office. But I'm on-board with your "no one has a right not to be offended" stance. Please add it to the platform.
  17. Hops' Edict: You can't live farther than walking distance from work. /You people drive too much.
  18. [Wipes mouth with wing] "No, no. It's just ice cream."
  19. Current: 5'9" 157 Highest: 193 (decided to get fit by exercising & eating right, magic right?) The other day, while waiting to board a flight, I looked around at my fellow passengers and decided that I would back a move by the airline industry to charge by the pound.
  20. It wasn't natural. She stated clearly in the blurbs for the spread that she had them done after she had her child "to get back what I had." /Yes I read the articles //"read" past tense, as I only subscribed '98~'02
  21. Strangely similar to Jack's story: I was in study hall when I found out, but it happened 20 minutes earlier during my French class. Another teacher came into my silent study hall and whispered to the SH proctor (my former French teacher) and she gasped and said, "The space shuttle exploded." Her voice was even, not alarmed. She said it as a statement but there was a plaintive tone to it, like she didn't want it to be true. I'll never forget how, well, weird it felt. I didn't see it until I got home that afternoon. Horrible day.
  22. Did you see that Kevin Smith is making a movie based on "Hit Somebody"? Pompous liar Mitch Albom is involved, so it's sure to suck.
  23. Looks like she co-wrote that. Judging by the cast, I bet it's pretty good. She must be a total right-brainer. In both "Breaking Bad" and "Gravity" her character had a talent for drawing. I bet that was her input. At this point, I've probably followed her enough lately to qualify as a "mild" stalker.
  24. I just started watching "Gravity", "She's Out of My League" is in heavy rotation on Cinemax, and the second season of "Breaking Bad" is being played on AMC late-night Wednesdays. I give you Krysten Ritter.
  25. This story is a complete fabrication. In 1990-91, "Comedy Central" was called "The Comedy Channel".
