  1. He's holding a special chat today at 1pm: http://buffalonews.typepad.com/sully_on_sports/
  2. Hung out with him at an NYCBBB event...awesome guy, totally down to earth, and still looks like he can play. Into astrology as well...
  3. I first heard about this at a park by Coney Island yesterday afternoon, an older woman said somebody flew a plane near downtown and scared everybody, she was infuriated that a publicity stunt like that would be allowed. Then my brother in London told me about it, he said all the traders on Wall Street he deals with were angry about it. It obviously scared the crap out of enough people to be "news worthy". Planes fly near there all the time, but not at that altitude and direction, and not with a fighter jet chasing it. My heart still skips a beat when I see planes near Manhattan, I saw the mushroom cloud rise from the 2nd plane hit on 9-11 from my LIRR train into the city. I can't imagine what the folks who worked down there then and work there now were thinking when they saw this yesterday. I'm sure outrage and they have every right to feel that, especially for this publicity stunt, and the media has every right to report the outrage. Part of me thinks that the White House giving permission for this shows a Pre 9-11 thought process, something most New Yorkers don't have, except for a few folks in Bloomberg's office obviously. The wounds are still healing here. Its also a stupid waste of money in a recession.
  4. Just because the Bills didn't draft a LT doesn't mean its a bad draft, that's what these guys don't get. If the Bills walk out with 4-5 starters, who cares if one of them isn't a LT, the Bills obviously felt none was worth it. It shouldn't bring their grade way down. What if they took Oher, then they'd get an A?
  5. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/4/26/...e-from#comments Halfway down the comments section, their Geronimo source is always dead on. 2 hours before the draft he said the Bills would stay at 11 and take Maybin if there. "Just heard from Geronimo on this one, guys. Nelson was their TOP guy going into today. As in, sat at the top of their board. If they’d had the No. 65 pick, they would have taken him. They thought about trading up for him. They didn’t have to, and this is TREMENDOUS value."
  6. Corto is from OP....one hometown boy is enough.
  7. He spoke at my college graduation in 2001....was awesome.
  8. Debbie Downer! As long as its a TE!
  9. If they go DB I'm going to lose my mind. Any other position I can live with.
  10. They can address LB via FA if need be, TE has to be addressed in the next two picks.
  11. http://scores.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draftCast/index View by team and it skips our 4th round pick an just shows us with 5,6,7 left. Maybe the Eagles forgot to give it to us?
  12. Tackle - What you see is what you get, Walker is likely our LT this year. Tight End - If the Bills don't take TE in the 3rd (trading up) 4th/5th, then they don't view it as a need this year. Although Buffalo Rumblings reported that the Bills tried to trade up for Pettigrew. They can only fill the hole via the draft. OLB - They'll sign one in FA this week I bet.
  13. I was thinking the same thing when I saw the pic!!
  14. They need to grab a TE in the draft...its the only hole that they can't fill via FA or what they have on the roster.
  15. If the NFL/Lions use the full 10 minutes to announce the pick of Stafford. It's a done deal, just get up there and say it so we can move on.
  16. Reminds me of the old riddle: A son and father are in a car accident and each are sent to separate hospitals. When the son arrives at the hospital, the surgeon looks at him and says, "I cannot operate on this man, he is my son." How is that possible when the father is at a different hospital? The surgeon is the man's mother.
  17. Again....anybody that'll be in NYC can come to the NYCBBB Draft Party, we'll have a bar packed with Bills/football fans: "The specials will still run from 1pm-8pm and seats are on a first come first serve basis. McFadden's will have the pre-draft coverage on for you fellow draft nuts. Again, the special are: $35 - All the draft beer you can drink and wings you can eat $25 - All the Bud/Bud Lite draft you can drink and wings you can eat $20 - All the pop you can drink and wings you can eat $1 off all mixed drinkspm-8pm and seats will be on a first come first serve basis." www.nycbbb.com
  18. I can't get over the ESPN love fest with him, all week he's all they've talked about.
  19. http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/entertainm...ddow_msnbc.html "According to the Los Angeles Times, Maddow's audience has gone from a high of 1.9 million viewers in the fall to just over 1.1 million in March. That's a big drop." Here's a snapshot, I don't get why CNN wants to force Larry King out: 8PM - P2+ (25-54) (35-64) O’Reilly Factor —3,897,000 viewers (875,000) (1,462,000) Campbell Brown—942,000 viewers (215,000) (349,000) Countdown w/Keith Olbermann —1,229,000 viewers (329,000) (601,000) CNBC Reports – 228,000 viewers (66,000) (98,000) Nancy Grace –1,172,000 viewers (469,000) (641,000) 9 PM - P2+ (25-54) (35-64) Hannity– 3,138,000 viewers (854,000) (1,291,000) Larry King Live—1,260,000 viewers (320,000) (447,000) Rachel Maddow Show —1,052,000 viewers (258,000) (482,000) Swoosh!
