Amen. That play sums it up. Receiver never had a chance surrounded by three defenders. EJ Blows. Desperately need a 1st down and he vomits that 6 yard pass. As I have said in previous threads EJ looks good against backups and third string players. Why? Because he is a third string QB. (Well not in Whaley's Opinion) He is IMO!

ALSO on first drive does anyone remember the horribly under thrown ball to CC. Replay gods were on our side. Bad Bad Bad. that is what EJ is.

Last audition? I think there are far too many people posting on here who have an unrealistic expectation for EJ. He is our backup QB and for a backup he led the offense to put up 21 points. There are very few teams in the league that wouldn't take that out of their backup. He was far from the problem today.
Last seven were a gift. He was a 1st rd pick. Stop calling him a backup. call him what he is a bust.

Wait and see Boys. Easy to bash Cassel. I'll eat crow when he sucks with the Boys. But IMO he will do better the EJ who on 3rd and 11 threw to a tripled covered Gragg who had no chance to get the first down. Why even throw that ball. Mind Boggling

Offense scored 21 points and would have been more had Miller not held or Watkins got hurt.

The last time we put up 21 points was the last time we had Sammy and McCoy on the field. Week 3 did happen after week 2.

EJ's performance today was the first or second best game performance by a Buffalo quarterback this season.
EJ wasn't great, but Tyrod hasn't been very good either.
Tyrod has shown through 5 games, in his 5th year in the league, that he is not "The Guy".
If today convinced you that EJ also is not "The Guy", then I submit that neither one is good enough to be the starter.

I am a Bills fan so I am an EJ "supporter". Too bad some fans can't support their team and have to cheer against a backup QB.

Is the game just too complicated for some people to do anything but blame the QB? Any criticism of the defense with another game with 0 sacks??? Couldn't stop the Bengals at any time they needed too? No , just blame the QB, no thinking required.
Defense was exhausted due to poor QB play.
