There was a book that came out 2016ish? called Grit, written by a psychologist on what makes people able to persevere through adversity. I don't know if I can recall a plater who has more of this, than Josh. So glad he is our QB.

In other words: Aaron Rodgers is a dick and Josh Allen isn't.
I can't see either of those things changing. Ever.
I'd add to that another thing I don't see changing is a good working relationship between Josh and McBeane. People can fault Rodgers all they want, but the sentiment of "You didn't take my opinion into account at all when making personal decisions" is understandable. I have to think Beane and McD will be a lot more open and upfront with Josh which in turn should substantially help their relationship.

Any news on veteran DT cuts?
I know it's pff, but at least they list cuts by teams and how many snaps someone had last season. On numbers alone Cleveland cut a guy who might be worth a glance.

Lets get one thing out of the way, Beasley is a better WR at this stage of his career than Cam is a QB.
BUT...they have very similar cap hits if they were to be cut. Maybe don't be shocked if Beasley is cut given McKenzies new vaccination and Stevenson in pre-season?(although I would not put money on it)
Both Cam and Beas had to miss practice time too because of that, however Beas's wasn't really his fault while I'm pretty sure Cam messed up protocols. If Cam has already caused himself to be unavailable then that is a very strong reason for him to get the axe.

I went and looked at the Steelers message board, since y'know maybe we should look at more than one opinion. No one has really mentioned the Bills yet other than a few saying that they would need all hands on deck in order to stand a chance against us.

I'm surprised to see the negative reaction to this trade. Johnson was only useful on special teams. As a pass rusher he offers replacement level ability. I assume the Bills decided they don't need him on special teams and they're obviously not going to pay him when his contract is up so they're taking what they can now.
Probably because many here don't like Addison and wish that it was him who was traded...whether or not that was realistic.

To me it comes down to Addison versus Obama
Addison has also done virtually nothing in preseason well Obata has had the stronger camp and is younger
MacBean is not above cutting a player they have given money to
Gotta go with the former president every time.

Careful with this one. Keep in mind that players develop, especially under this staff. Lot’s of true film analysts ( cover 1 Erik Turner , etc) have stated he’s by far ( like not close) our best run blocker and is fairing decently enough in pass pro this off season.
Yeah, they're also ignoring the fact that Ford played great in the first two preseason games. I'm not sure which Ford we'll get during the regular season, but it's not like he has been absolutely terrible all camp.

I don't know man.
I've actually been sort of pleasantly surprised out of what we've seen from Butler in the two preseason games I saw.
Anything in particular he did that stood out to you?

We really don't know what's going on inside the meeting rooms and inside the clubhouse.
Remember, McDermott is the one who was observed getting all up in Matt Fairburn's face chest-to-chest and chewing him out "Are you With Us, or Against Us?" for some reason - I don't remember the specifics.....Fairburn has an MMA background IIR and was un-flapped by it, but I think it was a momentary glance at the inner Sean Mcdermott.
Point is, McDermott comes across as a level-headed and patient man in front of the press, but he is still a successful HS wrestler, a college football player who made good as a walk on, and a football coach wrangling players who are a good foot taller and twice his mass.
I wouldn't bet the rent that hes all sweetness and nice in private.
Kind of matches with what we see from him on game day, right? He positive and encouraging until he's not. He seems like a fiery dude who can be goaded into responses more inline with what happened with Fairburn.

Curious if anybody else got vaccinated if ECMC sent somebody out. Hoping Milano and Davis.Based on the timeline of when the players returned isn't likely that Milano is already vaccinated? He and Klein returned earlier than the others though I guess that could be due to other factors.

Darnold looks decent so far, not great, not terrible.

But we have Tre.
Definitely, but I think they're operating with the "two is one and one is none," mindset. With Tre we're fine, but we are one unfortunate play away from being screwed. Other positions have better depth.

As our team currently stands, it is TE, right?

Some people, especially in America take their personal liberties seriously. Beasley for example.
And that is different from the idea that he will retire...how? The NFL will utilize it's liberties to require vaccination, Beasley will exercise his liberty to then retire. Other players will exercise their liberties to get vaccinated and continue to play. Strange that you single out "some people."

A lot people hate math and logic. The question is value. Would you take 3 first round picks for Trubisky? Would you take one 6th round pick. Most people are probably somewhere between those two points. They question is where do you land. One possible answer is “this is too hard to think about, pass”
There's more to the equation. It's more along the lines of:
Trade value of Trubisky vs. Insurance of Trubisky + 3rd rounder that should be awarded when he signs elsewhere

We won’t, but if Addison truly fell of a cliff, I’m confident our staff would cut him.
I don’t think he has, and if he’s on the team, expect him to look much better - especially in a deep rotation, second year in Buffalo.
Pretty sure this is the sentiment McD has expressed too. The idea that Addison SHOULD look more like his 10 sack seasons because of a deeper rotation. We'll see though. As great as McBeane have been they aren't infallible.

Fine for him, but not fine for Nagy and his coaching staff. They are already on thin ice.
Definitely great for the Giants though who have the Bears first and fourth round pick.

When I watched the Breida play I thought he just assumed he would beat the defender to the end zone. He miscalculated and stepped out, which was a mistake. But guys like him often just assume they will run by people which they usually do. I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised by how Daboll uses Breida, the same way he uses McKittrick. Breida is super fast.
To add to that we really could have used a player like him during the Chiefs game. I think having speed in the backfield will really help us if teams dare us to beat them with the short passing game, draws, etc...

Yea I agree. Still think they will be in the market for a vet OT at cutdowns but it depends what Alpha is predicting. I take it as the 53 when we cut down. Not the 53 for opening day.
I wonder what the chances are that they would slide Ford over to T and use Ike as guard if Williams or Dawkins gets injured.

Always appreciate these posts, Gunner.
Ford, Feliciano and Ike were all active. From what you have seen, and assuming what you saw matches what the Bills have seen in the games and TC, who would you put on a starting OL during the season?

Correct, so you have to weigh how much you'll want to use a team later, combined with the odds that it will even matter that late into the season if everyone else is out.
