I think it's the case of a few bad apples with the Raiders. I had a similar observation, but I think I saw 99? 97? it was one DL and I think 24? who were the late hitters. Everyone else seemed classy.

I dunno about that. But like I said: from what I've seen, Po has been "solid". In the Marshawn Lynch sense.
For some reason "game balls" didn't pull up the Rams thread, but Poyer has been listed by us for both the Jets and Dolphins game.

I dunno about "Poyer doing terribly" I haven't seen the Raiders all-22 but I thought he was solid before that. Doing his job. The problem has been in front of him IMHO.
Pretty sure there have other games this season where Poyer has been the one person that wasn't playing poorly for the D.

Credit to McD, our conservative coach???, and Daboll for going for it as well.

I'm sure I'll be disagreed with, but more often than not I agree with McD's challenges

Raider DBs keep hurting themselves while taking shots at Buffalo receivers.
Or each other. Pretty sure Joyner got hurt from Abrams hit at the end.

Man, the idea that he missed the chance to make wearing masks patriotic, seems especially poignant right now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Darnold have a career similar to Tannenhill. Does well on a team as soon as he is out of the AFCE

It's weird to think about Flacco and Gore suffering in such a dumpster fire. Wonder what they think.
I think Gore could be used to it. Weren't the 49er's that for a while when he was drafted?

A couple points on this:
1) Historically 75% of 3-0 teams have made the playoffs (based on a chart I found that used data from 1990-2013). Of the ten 3-0 teams they measured as the worst, six made the playoffs, so 60%. Without checking DVOA you would have assumed 7 or 8 of those teams would have made the playoffs. It's a small sample size but the data is somewhat predictive there.
I don't think anyone here needs to go digging, but I wonder what that percentage would be if the 7th spot was included now that we have seven teams go to the playoffs instead of six.

People need to complain about something and it’s hard when they are undefeated. Now I agree the defense has not been up to its usual standard. But that’s been the case across the league. Perhaps the lack of tackling in the offseason and Lack of preseason film plus limited TC has impacted the defenses more than the offense. I’ll give it until mid season and see where we are. Until then I’m glad we finally don’t need to live and die on the performance of the defense and can let them get their bearings.
Not much to add except, as usual, I agree with your well thought out post.

And tre is meh, Micah is a bum, And Knox, Should be cut and Allen gets a b for the rams game. some people just have no freaking idea wth they are talking about.... god forbid when we actually loose a game.
Three weeks into the season no less. There seem to be a lot of posts that are demanding instant gratification.

And some of you wanted to have Roberts cut 😄

His trucking went up by 6 points 😄

Before everyone gets their hackles up, on 538's predictions they have a segment on QB's. Josh is ranked 9th currently.

Good for Zay, just cause he wasn't great for us doesn't mean anyone here needs to diminish the fact that this really nice kid is doing well enough to stick around in the league.

we did go "conservative" after scoring 17 until MIA got the lead.
How? Was the balance of run to pass different? Did they use play action less? As far as I could tell, the difference was that they didn't execute on their run blocking and passing.

Shaq reminds me of lil' Donte Whitner. Got drafted too high, flashed in some games, disappeared in a bunch.
A decent pro, will be in it for a 10-ish year career. He probably owes Rex a little money for the over-inflated Clemson factor.
That's a good comparison. I think Donte actually went to a probowl or two, however he also was drafted higher than Shaq.

Usually they go with a psychologist, the guy/girl who helps reframe thinking and mindsets. Not the guy/girl to give us ativan.

I’ve been saying until I’m blue in the face, we can’t call McD “conservative” because he hasn’t had an offense.
All of you know-it-alls can stuff it in a sock.
People throw that term around to describe when the Bills lose a lead. Allen can go 0 for 3 on passing and people B word about McD being conservative.

He means we traded the pics we got for Teller for Diggs. Unless, you're trolling him and already know that.
