  1. Our OL is pretty good. Spain can certainly be retained or replaced with another FA. Nsekhe is solid at RT, when healthy. Ford and Feliciano can compete for RG. We don't need 9 draft picks, necessarily, as I doubt many of the last 5 picks make the roster (2 5ths, 3 6ths). If it's OBJ out there and not Duke Williams we likely are on to KC since OBJ probably comes down with that end zone shot. This topic is about 1 player, btw. We have nearly 90M in cap space. Plenty to add 1 player and still add depth elsewhere. And I'm absolutely for many more moves than just OBJ. He's just the pipe dream.
  2. A 1,000 yard receiver who conducted himself well considering the tire fire of a now-fired staff around him? Their biggest issue on O was the line
  3. It depends on their direction moving forward. They are reworking their entire staff and I don't know where DePodesta stood on the OBJ move. What I do know is that this offseason is their out based on his contract structure. He can be traded before 6/1 with 0 dead money for the Browns. I fundamentally disagree that any depth should be prioritized over a difference making starter, and WR is priority 1a/1b with edge imo.
  4. The team culture and locker room is strong enough at this point to take on a talented diva. We're missing talent, not leaders.
  5. Pat is also part of the Andy Reid coaching tree and was in Philly with McD from 1999-2008
  6. Increased 8 points, 11.5% increase.
  7. He was a QB from 2003-2008. Scout for Carolina from 2011-2012, then became QB coach from 2013-2017. I don't know anything about his offensive philosophy, but I'd say he's probably as qualified as Kellen Moore was (not saying that's how he'd turn out, of course). I think I'd prefer that he stay at QB coach, but I wouldn't be overly ruffled if he got the nod. Assuming the vacancy presents itself.
  8. I think I'm to the point of rooting for this, despite the continuity disruption. Maybe he's been good for Josh, but it can also be argued that his gameday decisions have been a detriment. The offense is overly complex, based on statements from a few players, and I believe that is part of the execution issues (kind of like Roman's overprepping in his second year). Continuity that would remain intact includes Ken Dorsey, Jordan Palmer in the offseason, and a significant chunk of our offensive personnel.
  9. Gotta heal up first, but even at full health I'd consider Jack a solid upgrade
  10. And bump Ford inside and sign Conklin in FA.
  11. The delay of game no-call on 3rd and long that ended up converted hurt quite a bit. Right along with the 'blind side block'. The rest of the team did their part as well, except Hauschka, who was exceptional.
  12. Nah, can't eat or drink if I'm not moving either.
  13. Chores around the house in the AM, Backers bar by 2, dont move until both games are done.
  14. I think that if you look at their performance with Roman (and his system) vs with others it's safe to say he enhanced their productivity. Only person I'd have picked for TT above Roman would be Bevell. I also think Bevell would be great for Allen though
  15. Nothing else changed from 15 to 16 to 17, right? Just the QB got worse.
  16. I haven't, and wouldn't, say it's better than passer rating. Stats are stats, and they all have their purpose. Mine was created as a way to put numbers to the metrics I look for in a way that, if sorted, generally matched up with the order someone might come up with using the eye test. In that regard, if you sort by passer rating instead, then: Ryan Tannehill was the best QB this year. Kirk Cousins was better than Russell Wilson and Pat Mahomes. Case Keenum and Gardner Minshew were better than Tom Brady.
  17. I don't know that 2.6 points on a 100 point rating is 'dramatically higher'. Other QBs just also happened to score in that same range. Jameis was asked to do something by his team nearly 11 more times per game than Jimmy. Even with the increased demand he had a higher yards per attempt and a td% within .4%. Typically as attempts go up you expect some drop off.
  18. He wasn't asked to do much based on his attempts per game, so he's losing over 9 points there. Slightly above average in YPT and TD%, losing around 3 and 10 points in those categories, and below average on turnover rate, losing around 7 points there. If you were to factor out the attempts per game scaling, Jimmy scores similarly to Carr, Brady, and Rodgers (all high 60's).
  19. As a fantasy owner I am well aware of it. It became comical at the end. I think he started like 4 games in a row with a pick in his first 5 attempts.
  20. Yeah, he's being held up by his yards per touch and how much he was asked to do.
  21. Passer rating and any/a are included as columns to show how it differs ranking-wise. I know the piece I quoted is probably a quick example, but the sample size is simply far too small for my system to function. It includes all pass attempts, rush attempts, and sacks over the course of a season. Minimum attempts to qualify this year was 250. Based on how my rankings have come out over the past few years I'm comfortable saying that at the right sample size a lot of the points you want to contextualize become a wash (at least for this exercise). It's not intended to be predictive, so much as to put numbers to the 'who did best this year' rankings. With 10 of the top 12 being QBs for playoff teams, I think it's still functioning as intended.
  22. Well, I missed most of the season as far as posts go, but I can't miss the final. I'll also be doing a more Allen specific post separately with splits, progression, etc. I suspect people will be as surprised by #3 as I was, so this should be interesting! FAQs: QB Rating is my personal equation. It factors in attempts per game, yards per touch, td%, and to% to generate an efficiency score compared to their peers. Fumbles is only accounting for lost fumbles, as I use it to track turnovers. Playoff QBs rank 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, and 19 by my metric. If you see an error otherwise please let me know! I do the data entry manually on a weekly basis, so mistakes can happen. Click on the image to enlarge it.
  23. Is it overly harsh to say he's a poor man's Reggie Ragland? I'm really not sure where he fits at the next level. Good head on his shoulders though, so I wouldn't count him out.
