  1. Too bad the Pats* denied Wells the interview where he intended to find such context...
  2. Considering the Patriots* didn't even inform McNally of the 2nd interview request I am not surprised Wells didn't request a 5th one...
  3. Yeah, I mean look at what happened in Washington. Freakin' dumpster fire!
  4. They have arguably the best defense in the AFC, if not the NFL They have a superb set of skill-position players They only need Cassel to be a midtier quarterback Bottom lineThe state of the AFC is so strong that it will almost certainly take a double-digit win total for Buffalo to qualify for the postseason. However, that would require only a single-game improvement over the Bills' 9-7 record from last season. The defensive talent level and Ryan's creative play calling should keep that group at or above last year's performance, so it will boil down to whether the offense can carry its share of the playoff burden. Given the upgrade McCoy will provide on the ground and the combined big-play ability the Watkins/Harvin/Clay combination could give to a passing offense that ranked 28th in yards per pass attempt, the odds look to be quite good -- even if Cassel provides merely average quarterback play. Look for the Bills to make the playoffs for the first time since the 1999 campaign.
  5. What if I told you it had nothing to do with Deflategate, and everything to do with an owner publicly criticizing the league?
  6. Don't we lose some room for strategy when the extra point isn't from the same place as a 2-point conversion?
  7. His car going that speed was entirely caused by atmospheric pressure and weather. You cannot prove he was using his foot on the gas pedal.
  8. Wasn't he playing tackle in the Brissett tape you've been watching?
  9. The towel itself was sticky (and not against the rules), but I don't think the towel's design is to make other things sticky. Though I could imagine it took so much dirt off the ball that the ball got a bit of tackiness to it.
  10. that's fine. I just didn't know if they were in a shared pool since they were all prepared by the home team
  11. Packers have done well too. Went from Favre to Rodgers and have also spit out Matt Flynn. We'll see what happens with Hundley in the next couple years
  12. I was thinking more along the lines of the opposing QB would notice if all the balls started going flat, assuming they shared the balls prior to 2007
  13. Prior to the rule change, were both teams using the same set of balls? The change could have made it easier for manipulation of the ball to go undetected I suppose.
  14. I definitely think Goodwin gives the offense a vertical threat that it desperately needs to allow all of it's horizontal threats to do work.
  15. True, I was running with his Brady Backup post. My bad
  16. Two, if Mallett doesn't start then Hoyer is. If you are counting the first two then you expect at least one of them to play so poorly that they are not a starter, or to get injured. Jimmy G doesn't see the field if Brady isn't suspended. Cassel is hardly a lock to start.
  17. You do realize he copy & pasted a tweet and didn't make the quote himself, right? You might want to save your ammo for Paul Finebaum, who actually tweeted the quote that got you so upset.
  18. I don't disagree, just stating why at least Wells didn't make a big stink about it. As far as I know he could have retracted his request when he ruled out the K Ball stuff, if that even makes a difference.
  19. It was requested and denied, but Wells did not pursue it because he felt that the K Balls were not tampered with.
  20. And wasn't that with our defense minus Dareus and Gilmore?
  21. Did anyone complain that the Vikings didn't have AP when they played us last year?
  22. Change star in Pats* logo to a * Suspend him from 4 playoff games.
  23. or if the game is even remotely close, for that matter
  24. Seems fair for the most part. I disagree with putting Miller and Henderson on the same side, so I think I'd flip the guards. I expect a different QB too, but we all know that. I think Darby gets most of this year as depth unless he comes along exceptionally quick. EDIT: I also wouldn't rule out Kujo at RT over Henderson just yet, but we'll see on that.
  25. Maybe, look at the 2nd half and what NE accomplished with Garrappolo in the game.
