Typically you don't sit 3 year starters in their 4th year for a true freshman regardless of the difference in their talent. And EJ being 'good enough' to warrant a redshirt for Winston is a far cry from 'ample evidence that shows how EJ Manuel was good enough to keep Jameis Winston on the bench at FSU.' In that situation EJ is basically the Chris Leak to Jameis' Tim Tebow.

They were on the same roster for 1 year, 2012, which was Winston's redshirt year and Manuel's senior year.

So who were we in position to take and passed that upset you? Did you want to spend a 1st in 2014 right after spending one in '13 on Manuel? The quality of QB's available to us in the draft in '15 weren't worth a 2nd round pick, and our 3rd round pick is looking like a starting OL Week 1.

With the context of needing a legit QB and not one to cover up drafting Manuel, I wouldn't take it back that far. So I'll be more specific. What legit QB's have been available since 2013?

I don't disagree, but with the amount Wilson expects I'm not sure they can keep the roster in tact. It may be a problem we will face in the future as well. Unless you're suggesting that the roster is good enough in Seattle that they would let Wilson walk to keep the rest, but that is a hard pill to swallow.

I agree with those mentioning Seattle. What I will find most interesting is what happens roster-wise when Wilson gets his money, and if they can continue their success through the turnover that is likely to cause.

You are being disingenuous. You're referencing that the Pats* played their 2nd stringers and we still didn't score. Their 2nd stringers were on their offense, which had little to no effect on our offense scoring. I'm just trying to figure out what impact Gronk sitting has on our offense scoring in your eyes. Brady was completely frustrated in the first half, but to speculate on what would have happened in the second half is entirely pointless because it didn't happen. You can think and assume whatever you want about what could have happened, but the fact is that the Pats* offense got crushed by our defense that game without Dareus, Gilmore, or McKelvin.

I, more than just about anybody on this board, want Tyrod to do well and win this, but this marks 2 out of 2 weeks that the QB working with the 2nd & 3rd stringers was the most impressive to Joe B.
