Interestingly enough both landed on a Rex coached team after leaving their established teams
Maybe he's not an option, but THE option
NFL thinks Cassel is emerging by default and that him starting is a way to give Tyrod and EJ more game time in the 1st game to see if they give any reasons to keep them in the competition
Sal Capaccio @SalSports
Tyrod will "probably" be the second QB Friday Rex says. But follows up with "you guys want to?" So who knows?!

#Bills HC Rex Ryan: We're going to look at the quarterbacks over a two-game stretch
Matthew Fairburn @MatthewFairburn
Rex Ryan said he expects the QB competition to go through at least two preseason games.

Danger of blitz: Tyrod Taylor with great hot read to Deonte Thompson for (probably) TD after catch. O players watching behind let D hear it.
Man, even Chris Brown hates EJ, gives Woods the credit
Chris Brown @ChrisBrownBills
Great hands catch by Woods in end zone w/Gilmore blanketing him. EJ stuck ball in tight spot, Woods made play. #Bills
Really? These guys haven't even declared for the draft yet and they're already worse than acclaimed 1st round picks like Blaine Gabbert, Jake Locker, and Christian Ponder?
I disagree a bit. 2013 and 2011 were really bad talent-wise at the QB position. There may not be an Andrew Luck, but there is more quality talent coming out this year than 2013. Anyway, this is derailing into an offshoot of the Crystal Ball thread. My Apologies OP.
I mean the last time we did that poorly (4-12 if I recall correctly) we added Marcell Dareus to our roster. I'm not advocating a tank job, as I don't know if I could handle it after last year's Sabres, but underperforming this year could net us a decent QB prospect and still be blamed on the growing pains of new systems on both sides of the ball.
After defeating Brady* and the Pats** in Buffalo, I though Fitzpatrick deserved the contract he got and was a solid short term (~5 year) solution to carry us over until we developed a young guy at QB.
I never did see a player with a better knack for throwing an INT at the absolute worst time than Jake Delhomme, but maybe that's because I was living in Charlotte during that era
Hi! It's easy for me because I watch a lot of NCAA anyway and I always have the Bills' interests in mind.
I know there's no legitimate logic to it, I've just been burned by guys with decent stats & physical traits too many times at that school haha
