Per ESPN: Since he entered the NFL in 2001, Reggie Wayne has 1,070 catches for 14,345 yards and 82 TDs. The current 11 WRs on the Patriots' roster total a combined 1,074 catches for 12,168 yards and 62 TDs.
But with 2 promising guys in place, and our previous mismanagement of QB development they could sit him for a year or 2. Though I'm hoping more for a guy like Towles from Kentucky in the 3-4 range
Per ESPN's play-by-play stats:
Hill had 6 carries for 20 yards (3.33 YPC) in the 1st half
Seale had 6 carries for 10 yards (1.67 YPC) in the 1st half
Goodwin had 1 carry for -9 yards in the 1st half
So overall our 1st half rushing minus Tyrod was 13 carries for 21 yards (1.62 YPC), or 12 carries for 30 yards (2.5 YPC) if you want to excuse Goodwin
2nd Half
Connor had 1 carry for 2 yards
Hill had 2 carries for 5 yards
Wood had 3 carries for 6 yards
Thigpen had 2 carries for -1 yard
Seale had 1 carry for 0 yards
Overall 9 carries for 12 yards (1.33 YPC)
Yeah, like when you're playing catch with a buddy and he throws a little harder than you'd like. Next thing you know you're both throwing fastballs at eachother as hard as you can
I'd like to point out that on 6 preseason possessions (regardless of who he played with or against), Tyrod has led the offense to the Red Zone 4 times and came away with 17 points. Could have been 20 if he didn't take that bad sack last night, but hopefully that was a learning moment. And 2 of those possessions consisted of 10+ plays and 50+ yards.
