  1. Since many have asked this or something similar, what happens is we have a chance to win and EJ had a really good day. I've seen people toss out 300 yards passing, I've seen people toss out 4 TD's. Here are the stats from EJ's best statistical performance of his pro career: 20/28 for 245 yards, 71.4% Complete, 2 TDs, 0 INTs, 76.2 QBR, 121.9 RAT. He's never eclipsed 300 yards (was close vs Carolina with 296), and he's never thrown for more than 2 TDs in a game. I hope he has progressed as much as the next guy, but your what ifs are based on career highs across the board in his first regular season action of the year. Is it possible? Sure. But we really shouldn't expect it. Best of luck to all the Bills who play Sunday, because Cincy appears to a fairly complete team firing on all cylinders.
  2. Apparently it was 6 weeks, actually http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/180648-brandon-spikes-and-mike-williams-suspended-by-nfl/?p=3671790
  3. Wasn't he suspended for the first 4 weeks?
  4. From 32 to 13 in 5 weeks, not too shabby!
  5. Yep, and Tyrod has prepared against a Bengals D, which hasn't had much turnover in scheme or personnel, twice a year for his entire career. Regardless of who's behind center you've gotta assume he has some pointers.
  6. He's concerned with beating the Bengals, not EJ.
  7. Actually we get the Bengals, followed by Jacksonville, followed by our bye, then it's Miami.

  9. Looking through recent transactions for Safties... Will update as I find things -10/13 PIT released S Ross Ventrone - 10/10 OAK released S Taylor Mays
  10. I certainly hope it evens out more around where Kaep's numbers fell, but at Tyrod's current sample size the numbers can change very quickly.
  11. Re-read it. Dareus aided in the team's 2nd best player's (Gilmore) INT
  12. While I'm sure part of it is Tyrod missing the crossing routes, I believe part of it is also simply Roman's offense. Based on the chart from Wraith EJ and Orton both threw over 50% of their throws to the middle of the field. So far this year (small sample size) it appears Tyrod's breakdown is 40% Left, 32% Middle, 28% Right based on the chart. I looked at Kaepernick's splits from 2012-2014 to see if it compared at all. Overall over those 2.5 years of play Kaep broke down at 30% Left, 39% Middle, 31% Right, and the highest % of attempts to the middle came in 2014 at 42%. I think Roman just tries to utilize more of the field. Under Marrone/Hackett: EJ: 22% Left, 51% Middle, 27% Right (Either 306 or 437 Attempts, not sure which Wraith used) Orton: 22% Left, 54% Middle, 24% Right (447 Attempts) Under Roman: Tyrod: 40% Left, 32% Middle, 28% Right (137 Attempts) Kaep: 30% Left, 39% Middle, 31% Right (1082 Attempts)
  13. It was certainly their best showing thus far this year. Let's hope it's a sign of them getting comfortable with the scheme and settling in.
  14. He's just seemed hesitant to run ever since the Cleveland thing. Here's hoping that our current coaching staff has instilled a confidence higher than we ever saw in him under Marrone.
  15. Not exactly the same Bengals team, but there is a reason that the saying Any Given Sunday exists. We're going to need a heck of a performance in all 3 phases, and it will be a tremendous help if Karlos and Sammy can go (just like we would have before the Tyrod questions)
  16. It'll definitely be helpful if our offense can present a legitimate running threat this week! Here's hoping this is the low point for our team's overall health and we begin to steadily gain pieces back over the next few weeks
  17. Tyrod Taylor out with MCL injury; Bills to start Manuel
  18. EJ was speaking pig latin in the huddle, but Incognito didn't have a childhood so he couldn't understand what EJ was saying.
  19. So Tyrod is our best skill player, but the team is better with EJ? And you don't think it effects our offense's production (and plan overall) if Karlos and Sammy are cleared for Sunday?
  20. Sal C kinda did Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports 31m31 minutes ago Sorry. Should have typed "could miss," as @JasonLaCanfora reported for Taylor. Not "to miss." Nothing is certain as of now, Im told. That's the closest I could find so far though
  21. If he wins both then the Bills are 5-2 heading into the bye
  22. Elliot Harrison's NFL.com Power Rankings are up. The Bills are #11 (Down 1)
