Cardale will be around in the 2nd-early 3rd range probably. Also, that post was from last May, so Yolo may feel better about our QB situation now than he did then.
I checked the NFL.com Coaching Tracker and there is no mention of Marrone even interviewing for any of the remaining positions yet. I know it was mentioned by someone at ESPN (Caplan maybe?) that he is scheduled to interview with the Titans Thursday, but it isn't mentioned on NFL.com.
If we are going to the 3-4 then there's a chance we look at Luther Maddy in the later rounds. He's undersized for a 4-3 DT, but he'd perform admirably at 3-4 DE. Another name may be Vernon Butler.
I think he ends up going to LA (Formerly St. Louis) to compete for a starting role and rub salt in Snyder's wounds since he traded with them originally to get RG3 in the first place.
But what if you hired him to be something other than the DC. We hired Jim Schwartz, arguably the worst HC in football, and he performed admirably as a DC.
Considering I have no idea what his actual role is yet I went with yes, no, no. If he is a position coach or just a consultant type with no actual responsibility I don't see how it's a bad thing.
