  1. I said it in the draft prospect thread, but I don't see how the team keeps him and Cardale on the same roster. We don't need 2 projects, and I do believe Kizer is a project, though maybe with a shorter timeline than Cardale.
  2. Anyone born between June 22 and July 22 is clearly a cancer.
  3. If Bill is willing to let him go in the division he isn't worth having. Bledsoe was older and coming off an injury, and Brady was already there to take over for the next 15+ years. Different circumstances.
  4. The problem is he's a project. The question is whether he is a more worthwhile project than Cardale Jones, because it wouldn't be rational to keep both on the roster imo. And by more worthwhile I mean so much better that he's worth a high draft pick + releasing Cardale
  5. First of all, I still think the plan is likely Rex & Tyrod. But assuming that's off the table for this exercise: 1) Kyle Shanahan. He runs an offense predicated on the run game and it has worked very well. His offense led to a winning record in Cleveland with Hoyer at QB, and now look at Atlanta this year for how it works with more talent. 2) Ryan Mallett(UFA) or AJ McCarron (Trade), Brian Hoyer, Cardale Jones. Mallett is a big guy with a big arm who I believe Kyle could hide behind a superb play-action game, McCarron looked competent enough in limited action last year. Hoyer had success in Shanahan's offense in Cleveland with much less talent than we have, safe bet outside of injury risks. Cardale will be here developing, and on his short run to the national championship he thrived in an offense predicated on play action, a serious run threat, and big plays down the field. 3) Eric Berry would be a lovely acquisition.
  6. What exactly about Schwartz's HC history tells you he knows how to be one? Evidence points heavily to the contrary.
  7. Thursday's game ensured that KC and OAK both have playoff spots and limited our possible slots to 1 instead of 2. It definitely had an impact.
  8. Chris T did a post about his stats when Sammy & Woods are both healthy vs when either isn't. Pretty interesting difference.
  9. But Justin Hunter leads our team in TD receptions
  10. I wouldn't underestimate Denver either.
  11. Without a doubt, this will be a different team next year
  12. I don't think you realize how much of our roster is about to be free agents
  13. He's the exact same size as Melvin Gordon. Someone better tell SD to stop letting him run too.
  14. To be fair, he was on NFL payrolls as a QB until about a week ago (AZ, MIA, then NYG). So he wasn't the only one who believed.
  15. where did I say any of that? All I implied is that both the 2015 Panthers and 2016 Bills won a lot more than they lost when they rushed for 100+ yards. It is much easier to play effectively as an offense when you have a balance.
  16. Failing when we don't rush for 100+ yards
  17. Just so we're clear here, the 2015 Carolina Panthers rushed for 100+ yards in 19/19 games they played and went 17-2 in those games. The 2016 Buffalo Bills, despite averaging 157 rYPG, have failed to break 100 yards 3 times in 11 games (27% of the time). In games where we have rushed for 100+ yards we are 6-2, in games where we failed to reach 100 yards we are 0-3.
  18. Of those 53 only 46 are active on game day. Maybe he's more useful than a 2nd kicker?
  19. That Panthers team also rushed for 100+ yards in every regular season and post season game in 2015.
  20. Stats say that, as an NFL QB, Logan Thomas has never completed a pass that didn't go for a TD. I think it's a good sign
  21. It's just him getting his WR as much hype as possible because the higher he gets drafted the better Dabo can recruit more top end WRs
  22. 12+11 is 23. Who is responsible for the other 7? RB protection?
