  1. We got a 5th for AJ McHotMom. It's possible!
  2. Not the point I'm making. The 2018 team results, for instance, were not on Josh. The roster needed work, especially on O. This is evidenced by bringing in 9 new starters in 2019, trading our 1st round pick for Diggs in 2020, and then drafting 2 more WRs after that.
  3. You didn't answer either of my questions. The point that this team will go as far as Josh Allen takes them is pretty valid imo. Whether that's 8-8, playoffs, or a super bowl remains to be seen.
  4. Isn't that also justifiable based on his play to date? He's absolutely improving, but he's pretty clearly the limiting factor on the field for the O. The roster has been intentionally built that way to foster success, while also ensuring a fair evaluation. If the same statement were made about, let's say Drew Lock, would you feel like it was unfair? The Broncos went out and added the pieces around him on O to let him sink or swim.
  5. QB: In a world where we got the first pick in round 3 for Tyrod and a 5th rounder for AJ McCarron, I have to believe Barkley has some value. WR: it is very likely that at least 2 of Isaiah McKenzie, Duke Williams, and Robert Foster are not making the team, if not all 3. Some day 3 value there for a WR needy team. OL: Ty Nsekhe probably has the best value on the list, and Darryl Williams may make him expendable. Spencer Long possible as well. DL: Moving Trent Murphy wouldn't be surprising. K: Stephen Hauschka might have value if Bass comes away with the job.
  6. As far as a chance at starting and cap space, I think Jaguars, Chargers, and Redskins are all options.
  7. So, does something special happen when this pandemic thread hits 666 pages? Because it's within grasp and I feel like I need to prepare.
  8. He's been in the playoffs plenty. He needs to stop losing in the playoffs. Especially to teams like the Texans when they're QB'd by TJ Yates...
  9. Most talent since 2015. Depth I'd say goes back much further.
  10. Did he ever get that mailbox unstuck from his hand? That might make it harder to catch balls this year...
  11. Is it really that hard to believe that every time a player starts to stick out on Beane's board he starts calling teams about trades? We literally had a thread dedicated to how often he has traded up... I'm sure at the start of day 2 Dugger was very high on our board. Maybe #1, or maybe just the highest that would realistically get into striking range. I'm sure that OBD liked Duvernay and checked with some teams at the back end of round 3 to see what it would cost. And I know that we had a deal in place to get to 183 if the right player fell, but he did not. There were probably others too. I know we ultimately didn't move around this draft, but it wasn't for a lack of trying.
  12. 2/4 for 14 yards, 1 INT, 1 Sack.
  13. If the plan is Dalton, don't you keep Sanu? They played together from 12-15 and have that familiarity.
  14. I'll add that, due to the sheer quantity and specificity of the policies they wish to impose, they almost always conflict internally when examined as a whole.
  15. It's too big of a risk. What if dementia strikes and he accidentally says 'I did do this.'?
  16. I think the reaction shot timing was just off with the virtual draft format. If the camera didn't catch it and the family didn't want to fake reenact it then you get the shot we got. I do think Gilmore was upset that we picked him, and I think his comments about people finally getting to see him now that he's in NE are evidence of it. He wanted to go to a big market and be a star. Note, that is not commentary on his play on the field. With Moss it seems much more likely to me that either the camera didn't catch the reaction right, or his honest reaction was that it was time to go to work. His reaction seemed more focused than upset.
  17. I believe ND plays 6 ACC games. That allows them to maintain their established rivalry games with USC and Michigan, which I would consider in their conference in this scenario. Though they aren't playing Michigan? That feels weird... Wisconsin it is then. That makes their conference schedule Wake, Wisconsin, @Pitt, Duke, Clemson, @Georgia Tech, Louisville, @USC. I'd take it.
  18. Oh. I thought you were asking a legitimate question. Silly me. Of course it was some demented form of bait.
  19. Covid-19. Antibody test results were positive in the low to mid 20% range last I saw.
  20. Doesn't sell well when the last memory people have is Duke dropping the go get it ball that would have put us up in an elimination game.
  21. Used this same logic in my 53 prediction in the other thread.
  22. With the wonderful benefit of hindsight, I'd go: 54: AJ Epenesa, DE, Iowa 86: Cameron Dantzler, CB, Mississippi State 128: Troy Dye, LB, Oregon 167: Jason Huntley, RB, New Mexico State 188: Tyler Bass, K, Georgia Southern 207: Isaiah Hodgins, WR, Oregon State 239: Tyrie Cleveland, WR, Florida
  23. @maryland-bills-fan Didn't want to quote the whole thing again. I wonder how much the average shelf life of positions plays into that as well. RB likely is the shortest on O, which would increase their draft demand some.
